Chapter Ten: The Plan

"Wait, what are we going to do to him?" Draco had kept quiet long enough. They were nearer and nearer to the train station and Harry had been doing all the talking like he said he would. Draco, of course, had been doing most of the listening. But he kept quiet long enough and now he wanted an input on everything that Harry was saying. First of, he needed to correctly understand what Harry was saying. He was beginning to get an odd feeling that he didn't want a part in this anymore. He felt that Harry would go just a little too far for a girl but then every time he looked out the window and saw Cho's chariot just in front of them and her beautiful smile, he struck every thought of putting this deal to the grave and just stuck to it.

"Did I stutter?" asked Harry coldly, stopping mid-sentence to look at Draco with the utmost disgust.

"Don't get saucy with me, Potter." Draco folded his arms across his chest and then looked out the window at the scenery that was flying by at a slow rate. He didn't look slow before but now he was just bored with Harry and he wanted to be in that chariot with Cho. Damn, Finnigan. He could hear Harry taking in a deep breath and then letting it out with an impatient eye roll. Draco turned back to him and saw that Harry had his face buried within the palms of his hands and that he looked quiet stressful.

"I've got this potion," Harry started, calmly. Draco turned and listened. It's called Rotgef Loeovt."

"Sounds pretty," said Draco sarcastically. Harry shot him a glare and Draco sunk back into his seat, letting Harry finish.

"It's pretty fucking complicated so I've got Hermione helping me out." Draco sighed.

"Well?" he asked finally. Harry looked up, confused and weary. "What does it do?"

"All we do is slip it into Seamus' drink, let him drink it and then," Harry paused. "This part is the worst."

"What?" Draco asked intrigued, thinking that maybe Seamus' heart would stop and he'd keel over. But that wasn't what Harry said. Draco blinked a couple times and then looked at Harry like he'd seen him for the first time. "Pardon?"

"We have to get Cho to kiss him within an hour of drinking the potion - no one else, otherwise the potion will be wasted." There was an oppressive silence and then Harry continued talking. "It'll make him see Cho in a different light, per se. It'll make him think everything the opposite of her."

Draco paused. His eyes began to glitter at the possibility of this potion actually working. If the Mudblood Know-It-All was helping out how could it fail? Draco smiled his evil smile as the chariot came to a halt at the train station. Harry and himself nodded to each other, checked the opening to see if anyone was watching and then hurriedly got out of the chariot and onto the platform. Before they finally parted, Harry gave Draco a list of ingredients that he'd be responsible for buying and Harry showed Draco his own. Draco nodded, now knowing where he stood within the means of this plan.

They parted and got onto the train that would take them to Hogsmeade station, which then would take them to the stores so they could buy the ingredients needed for the Rotgef Loeovt potion they would be making. Draco studied his list of ingredients and read them through his head trying to pinpoint locations in which he could purchase these items. Whilst walking and reading, he bumped into Blaise Zabini.

"Watch out, Malfoy!" Draco took a quick step back, crumpled up the list and stuffed it into his pocket. Blaise looked down at him suspicious while wiping off invisible dust particles that could have landed on his cloak after Draco'd brushed into him. "Where were you? Goyle and Crabbe partnered up for the chariots and I was stuck with Pansy!"

Draco laughed as Blaise gave off a small shudder in protest. Blaise was Pansy's new target. They then walked side by side to go to the train. They needed to find a good compartment.

"She ran up to me, looking more horrid than ever, no offense," he paused to make sure that Draco wasn't offended and he wasn't. He'd broken it off with Pansy, finally, and he'd been getting well on without her. "Anyways, she came running up to me, like a dog trapped in a jumper barking and with such excitement that when she pushed me into the compartment of the chariot, I'd sworn I was stunned!"

Draco laughed. He liked being in the company of Blaise because Blaise could always make him laugh with only telling the truth. Blaise was a Slytherin, of course, but Blaise was one of those evil Slytherins, the most evil of all of them who told the truth. Sickening, isn't it? His father was part of the Voldemort circle, suddenly then ended up going mad and shot himself with a Muggle rifle. Blaise was then left to raise his mother and two sisters on his own. Honesty always came to Blaise as something that should be sprouted. His mother was such a fine woman, never interacting with anything that was evil, unless doing it for his father. Draco remembered a night where the Zabini family was invited over for supper. Draco loved the company of Blaise's family, they were all so pure yet so involved with the Dark Arts that it was uncanny.

"Draco?" Draco came back to reality and looked forward as Blaise was holding the door of the train open for him. Draco walked onto the train. He followed right behind Blaise as they searched for the compartment Blaise said Crabbe and Goyle were saving for them. They found it, near the back. When they walked in, two other people were seated in there, waiting impatiently for the arrival of Blaise and Draco. When Blaise had opened the door, Draco heard his voice squeak as he said, "Hello," and he felt Blaise shudder as he stepped aside to let Draco in.

"Oh, hullo Pansy," said Draco, dully, looking at the girl seated beside the window. "Hullo, Gelica."

The girls returned the boys' hellos with sweet smiles, or as sweet as you can get smiles. Blaise walked in and when he did, he whispered something in Draco's ear. Draco laughed as Pansy sprouted up from her seat and ran forward towards Blaise, showering him with embrace. Draco watched as Blaise's eyes shot wide and he tried hard not to crawl away. Draco laughed and took a seat next to Goyle because Crabbe was seated next to Gelica and they looked pretty comfy, to Draco's disgust.

Lying back into the comforts of the train seats, Draco let his eyes come to a close while the only thought left was of the Rotgef Loeovt potion that he soon would be making, then feeding to Seamus, then winning the heart of Cho Chang. Harry Potter would just have to wait - maybe forever.
