The Man of the Moment

In the eyes of the law, Harry has become a man. However, with the War in full swing, and attacks becoming more violent and more complicated, Harry is going to have to become a man in every sense on the word if he is to emerge triumphant. Not that this is always his biggest priority- staff changes at Hogwarts, N.E.W.T. exams and Quidditch still compete for equal attention. Whilst political clashes, prophecies, death, deception, anger and love abound, Harry begins to wonder if he is the only sane person left in the wizarding world, and who really will be The Man of the Moment.

Persephone causes fear and upset for the Dursleys, as the Evans' family secrets are exposed. Harry gets an impressive birthday present... and a nasty surprise when new orders for the Brethren arrive.

Muggles, Interrupted: As Hermone's life hangs in the balance, the Grangers have to come to terms with more than their daughter's current predicament. Harry is concerned, Ron is frantic and the arrival of a old acquantience only serves to heighten tensions. Aunt Petunia is forced to re-evaluate her decision to take Harry in, but not without another particularly musty skeleton rattling its way out of the Evanses' family closet...

Order, Order!: Harry gets back to Number 12 Grimmauld Place, only to find tension and concern within the ranks of the Order at their latest alliance. Hermione is still reeling from the attack on her family, Ginny is starting to become amused by many and varied things and Harry discovers a little more of the story between his mother and Snape. Lupin assists Harry in practising for his Apparition test, but things do not go entirely to plan...

Didn’t We Have A Lovely Time, the Day We Went To…: Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny undertake the simple task of going to get their school supplies; however, nothing seems simple anymore- not even the daunting task of buying Persephone a Birthday present- when unexpected people turn up in unexpected places. Tonks offers advice, Harry tries to remain neutral as Ron and Hermione are at odds once again, Persephone gets involved with unsavoury types down in Knockturn Alley, and Alex takes on her biggest challenge to date…

The Beginning of the End: Harry discovers the significance of the Daily Prophet, and how it has angered Hermione to no end. Extra security serves only to remind everyone of the grave situation they are all currently in. Luna surprises Harry, Ron and Neville with a shock announcement, and whilst she and Ginny discuss career plans, Harry finds himself more concerned with trying to remain alive long enough to make any.

Harry, Ron and Hermione experience possibly the worst start to the school year ever- despite the Sorting Hat's new song. Persephone and Snape find themselves under increasing amounts of pressure, Neville becomes deeply pessimistic and Hermione finds herself another mystery to unravel- much to Ron's annoyance.

The staff and students of Hogwarts cope the best they can after the loss of Dumbledore, and in vastly different ways. While the students debate who was to blame, McGonagall tries to reorganise the school hierarchy. Harry and Ginny find themselves in trouble with Snape, Hermione reveals all about her brainwave, and Harry receives an important letter...

Teacher, Tailor, Soldier, Spy: In the aftermath of events, the new Gryffindor Head of House is revealed, much to the surprise of the students- and the new Head of House themselves! Persephone sheds some light upon Snape for McGonagall's benefit, the Head Boy and Girl face growing apathy, and Harry continues to be surprised by his mother's diary. A new Transfiguration teacher is also appointed, and Hermione worries about how up to the task she is.

It’s the day of the funeral, and many prominent witches and wizards turn up to Hogwarts to pay their respects. Harry discovers that the Order and the Brethren are perhaps not as united as they claim to be, as sharp words are exchanged during the Reading...
