AU -- Harry and Snape have been childhood friends since birth. Harry’s cute, happy go lucky, and the only one in the world to make Severus show other feelings besides cold indifference. When Harry turns eleven his parents die in a car crash and he’s sent to his aunt and uncle’s to live all the way across England. Years later, Harry transfers to a new school in his last year, when his uncle makes a deal with another company and moves. Harry’s surprised to see his old friend Severus going to the all-boys’ boarding school he is now attending.

Harry goes home to the Dursleys after his fourth year at Hogwarts. But things do not go well at the Dursley residence. Still angry about the previous summer, Uncle Vernon takes out his rage on poor Harry. Will Snape be able to save him in time? This will be slash, but it will take a LONG time to get to that point.
