Harry Potter and the Legend of the Founders

Chapter One~* Awakenings

If anyone would have looked down the street to Number Four Privet Drive, they would have seen nothing out of the ordinary. That is, if you didn't consider the seven people walking up the street.

These people were a very odd bunch indeed. With robes of black and pointed hats, these people looked as though they were dressed for Halloween. You could never be more wrong.

One had a long silver beard and hair that swept to the floor. He was tall and had twinkling blue eyes behind his half moon spectacles. Another had her hair up tightly in a bun. She had piercing black eyes and was walking next to the silver-haired man. Another had shoulder length black hair that if you looked up close, you could consider is greasy-looking. He, too, had black eyes. This sallow-skinned man looked angry and confused. The next was a giant. His black beady eyes seemed to shine through his beard. The other had brown hair with little bits of gray through it. A huge, black dog walked next to the other two people. Those two had their hoods up and their faces were unknown.

They walked towards Number Four with ease. The silver-haired man got to the door first and turned around to look at the two hooded figures. You could see them nod. He raised his fist to the door and knocked.

"Can I have some more, Mum?" Dudley Dursley asked as he finished his third helping of apple pie.

"Of course, Sweetheart!" Petunia Dursley said as she smiled adoringly at her over large son. "You, boy!" she barked as she turned to a skinny, black-haired, green-eyed boy. "Go get some more out of the fridge!"

"Yes, Aunt Petunia," he said obediently. They heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it," Dudley said as he ran out of the room as fast as his pudgy self could go. All of a sudden they heard a scream. The man, Vernon, was out of the kitchen immediately soon followed by the other two.

In the front hall, the seven people were standing. Dudley ran back and behind his mother. Vernon's face turned purple as he recognized the people standing before him.

"I command that you leave at once!" he yelled trying to shield his wife and son from view. The other boy, Harry, stepped around him and looked at the people in shock.

"Professor Dumbledore?"

"Hello, Harry," Dumbledore said kindly to him.

Vernon looked murderous. He glared at his nephew.

"How dare you invite your kind into this house!" he screamed at him.

"He did not invite us," Dumbledore said calmly, holding up a hand. The Dursley's moved back and Dumbledore's eyes twinkled merrily with mirth as he watched. "Some things came up, and we needed to speak with him." He smiled at Harry. "Could we go someplace to sit down?"

"Um... Sure. Follow me," He said as he motioned towards the living room. They all walked in and began to take off their robes. The dog ran over to Harry and jumped on him. The two unknowns kept their cloaks on.

"What do you need, Professor?" Harry asked. His relatives were standing in the corner looking at them in fear.

"I don't need anything, Harry," Dumbledore said, his eyes alive with excitement. "We have something to show you."

"You might want to sit down, Potter," the dark-haired woman added. Harry gave her a confused look but obeyed.

"If you would," Dumbledore said to the two unknown people. They stood up and their cloaks fell to the ground.

Harry eyes widened in astonishment as he fell to the floor in shock.

"Mum? Dad?"

Meanwhile, two thousand miles away, about forty men stood in a circle. One man stood in the middle. A cauldron was in the exact center. The man was circling it.

"It will happen tonight," said the man. He spoke in a whisper. Even the slightest sound of his voice could send shivers up your spine. This man's name was Lord Voldemort.

"What about the Potter's return, My Lord?" One of the men said.

"Ah, Lucius," said Voldemort, his red eyes glowing, "not even the Potter's can withstand this. Once the moon hit's top, nothing will stop us. You will all be witnesses. The book, Wormtail."

One man from the circle stepped forward with a book. A shaking, silver hand handed the book to his master, and walked back into his place in the circle.

"It is almost time," Voldemort mused as he flipped through the pages. This book looked ancient and had Latin written on all the pages. He came to one page and stopped. He looked up at the sky. The moon was almost straight above. "Now we shall see," he murmured.

He held the book out in front of him and began reciting the words written on the page. (A/N: I can't speak Latin so all of this is made up.)

"Maskala bloskanartay lacorume,

Incontomoravos, vicorum skatay,

Luvenarday felderisk marshe,

Kata meleica pwishay dank,

Wencomtun muscka,

Aluminardray!"

As he spoke the last words, the moon hit straight center. The light reflected down into the cauldron. The cauldron exploded with such force that it knocked everyone backwards. When they all looked up, all they could see was dust. Then they saw an outline. They waited for the dust to clear.

The outline was of a woman around twenty-one years old. With long red hair that touched the ground, she looked almost inhuman. She then began to smile, and when she looked up, all you could see was silver.
