It's three years later, and two people meet again. A young woman that is so consumed with the past that is pains too much to have anything that remotely reminds her of it. A young man is finding it hard to deal with a ghost that has come back to haunt him, a ghost that freed him and gave him life, a ghost that cannot look at him.

After spending a day together, Hermione and Draco realise that it is the start of a new friendship. Draco makes the first move and turns up at Hermione's workplace unexpectedly. They both start to discover the new people that they have both become.

After bumping into one another a few days before, Hermione is now attending dinner at the Malfoy Mansion. She is feeling slightly apprehensive and discovers more to Draco’s character when she first sees his home. Dinner is served and they are now both comfortable is each other’s presence but then something happens to change all that.

What has happened haunts both Draco and Hermione. When it is time to face the problem, they discover new pain, new treasures and new undersatandings.
