Heads and Tails

To everything there is a natural balance. To evil there is good; to a right there is a bad. To the sun we have the moon, and to the morning there is the night. To Voldemort we have Dumbledore, and to Draco Malfoy there will be always a Harry Potter. To the Chamber of Secrets we also have a balance. A balance four minor characters will find. A story of mystery, love, and hope involving Oliver, Marcus, Penelope, and Percy -- the heroes before Harry Potter came to Hogwarts.

Penelope begins her search for an Elfish book, and speculates Marcus Flint. Marcus keeps his limit between the Slytherins and the Ravenclaw. Percy struggles through a Potions class without make-up and a Muggle-born Hating!Oliver. And everyone's favorite Keeper has a past that haunts his past and who he is now.

Marcus remembers why he and Oliver spend 24/7 fighting. The Weasley twins try out for Quidditch. Helen Clearwater loses a game to Oliver. He and Marcus fight, and Percy ponders whether it was a good idea to have the Slytherin along.

Penelope finds the title of the book they need, yet not the book itself. Tolkien, the ex-Minister of Magic, you say? Oliver looks through porn, and gets a letter from his father. Marcus speaks with the Slytherins... what about Harry Potter? And we get to see how Percy and Oliver, two different sides of a coin, became such good friends.

It's near Christmas time, and Marcus has returned home to his parents, his father's new stable, and the lovely Amelia Le Blanc, the witch who's been cursed into his mirror. Penelope has returned to her Muggle home, only to face drunk relatives and a pair of troublesome cousins. Oliver, on the other hand, is not having the Christmas he planned for. His father has just brought home an American woman with two children, sorry, scratch that, brats, who are guaranteed to ruin his holidays.

Christmas collapses for Oliver, so he leaves home. But, on the way, he meets someone that might bring up his spirits. Cooking, hot chocolate and a warm fire awaits him along with a special guest character.
