Hello! This is my longest fic at 1013 words! WOO-HOO! Well, I think you should read this, and my other fic Run Home, as well as Emily Granger's fic #1 Crush. All are under The Dark Arts.

It was the first day of summer break. Cedric was dead, and his parents were in Rome looking for a nice headstone. They wouldn't be home for about three months. They had Cedric's corpse. It was lying in his room.

Cho broke into the Diggory house on the first day of summer vacation. She was looking for Cedric's corpse. It was in his old room. Cho was a girl on a mission. She was determined to bring Cedric back to life. She loved him. She missed him. She would kill herself and give him her life.

Cho carried Cedric out to the backyard. There, she had already set up a cauldron full of some foaming liquid. She put the corpse inside the cauldron. You can guess what spell she was going to perform. She didn't care that she wasn't supposed to use magic outside of school, especially this strong of magic. But, it was an emergency. Cho grabbed a simple Muggle pocket knife out of her jacket, and released the small, sharp, and shiny blade.

"Flesh of the girl; you will resurrect your beau."

Cho cut off one of her toes. Hey, she doesn't need her pinky toe on her left foot to play Quidditch. Next, Cho found the dog grave. Here, Cedric's dog was buried.

"Bone of the friend; you will renew your master."

A bunch of white dust flew up from the grave and landed in the cauldron. Next, Cho took out a giant tarantula. Cedric was very afraid of spiders. Cho stabbed it with the pocket knife and collected some blood in a tiny glass. She walked over to the cauldron and dumped it in.

"Blood of the enemy; you will recreate your foe."

At this, the foaming liquid fizzled and smoked. All of the liquid evaporated. Once the smoke cleared, a tall figure was standing inside the cauldron. It stepped out.

"Cedric!" Cho screamed.

"Cho?" Cedric called.

He grabbed her in a tight embrace.

"What happened?" Cedric asked.

"Voldemort killed you and I just brought you back," explained Cho.

"Oh," Cedric replied. He bent down and kissed her.

"You must come back to Hogwarts with me," Cho mussed.

"I cannot. You know how odd it would be if everyone thinks I'm dead, and I just come waltzing into school as if nothing happened?"

"Wear my invisibility cloak," suggested Cho.

"Alright. I shall go to Hogwarts with you," replied Cedric

About 3 or 4 months later

"Come on Firebolt. We need to win this game. If not, I'll be the laughing stock of the Slytherins," Harry thought as he flew through the air. The Snitch was feet in front of him. Malfoy was nipping at his heels.

It was turning ugly. Fred and George were racing back and forth to hit the Bludgers. Ron, the new Keeper, was diving and swerving to block the Quaffle. The Slytherins were committing fouls left and right. Luckily, the Chasers made most of the penalty shots.

Harry was getting closer and closer to the Snitch. He could feel the wings of the Snitch fluttering against his fingertips. He could hear Ron and Hermione cheering in the crowd. Hermione screamed, but her scream was suddenly cut off. Ron was bellowing something, and he ran to get help. Harry was about to catch the Snitch when Professor McGonagall's voice sounded on the magical loudspeaker.

"This game has been postponed. Everyone must go to the Great Hall for an emergency assembly."

Harry could tell by the sound of her voice that the news was very grave.

Fifteen minutes later

Everyone was seated in the Great Hall. Harry and Ron sat next to each other. Ron was shaking. Harry asked what was wrong and Ron didn't reply. Then he asked him where Hermione was, and Ron still didn't answer.

"Now that we are all here, there was a recent tragedy at the Quidditch game. Someone fell of the stands and fell to their death," Professor Dumbledore explained.

Harry was scared. He knew who it was.

"Professor, sir, w-was it w-who I-I th-think it i-is?" Harry stammered.

"Dearest apologies, Mr. Potter, but is was indeed Hermione Granger," Dumbledore replied solemnly.

Harry, Ron, Fred, George, and Neville all broke out into tears. There was still one question that Harry and Ron alike wanted answered.

"WHO DID IT?" bellowed Harry.

"Mr. Weasley has explained to us that it was an unknown assailant. Actually, he said that he didn't see anyone. Mr. Weasley told us that he was just talking to her and was cheering you on, and someone or something pushed her off the edge," Dumbledore said.

Harry fainted right on the spot. At that moment, a wide grin spread itself on Malfoy's face.

Twenty minutes later

Harry awoke in the Hospital Wing. Ron was standing by his bedside.

"Please tell me that this is all some dream that I'm about to wake up from. Hermione can't be dead. We need her. Why would anyone want to kill her? She never posed any serious threat to anyone, well, only in homework. But that's no reason to just go and hide under an invisibility cloak and kill her," Harry reeled off.

"Harry, I think I loved her," Ron squeaked quietly.

"Oh, wow, Ron. I'm so sorry," Harry said apologetically.

Just then, guess who came busting through the door? That's right. Malfoy.

"So, Potty and Weasel, how are you going to manage doing your own homework without the Mudblood around to copy off of?" sneered Malfoy.

"Eat slugs Malfoy!" Ron screamed.

"Remember Weasley, last time you said something like that, you were the one eating slugs," retorted Malfoy.

Just then, Ron's ears turned red.

"Well, I have a good wand now, and if I remember correctly, you were the one who skived out of the Wizard's duel," said Ron.

"Well, if I were you, Weasley, I'd look out for your sister. She could be next," whispered Malfoy.

"Is that a threat to Ginny?" asked Ron.

"Could be," replied Malfoy in a quiet voice; his sneer was still in place, where it always was.

(A/N: Remember, if you think it's Malfoy, use your common sense.)
