Author's Note:
Well, as this is my first ever FanFic, you're gonna have to excuse to horrible-ness of it (if it in fact is horrible). I am looking for a beta still, so let me know if you can help. Please enjoy it, and give me any advice you think I may need.

**Memories**

As Harry lay tossing and turning in bed, only one thing was on his mind, and that one thing just happened to have gorgeous ginger hair. He couldn't understand why, but Ginevra Molly Weasley had been filling his thoughts and dreams for a couple weeks now. Well, not quite a couple weeks, more like years, but he was only just starting to admit his feelings. He estimated the feelings went back to his fourth year at Hogwarts.

This Yule Ball was more trouble than it was worth. Harry had figured when he couldn't find a date that he could at least go with Ginny. He didn't expect that she would have already had a date. What he didn't expect even more was the heartbreak he would feel at finding this out. How can you feel heartbreak for a person you were unaware of having any feelings for?

He shook it off, telling himself that she was Ron's sister, and if Ron found out, there would be hell to pay. He tried to force Ginny to the back of his mind, but he found that was a lot easier said than done. He couldn't bear watching her have fun with Neville at the Yule Ball. Neville was his friend and all, but he was jealous of him. Harry laughed to himself. Ha, jealous of Neville Longbottom?! That's just insane. Nobody could be jealous of him!

**Next year...The Department of Mysteries**

Oh man, what was he getting his friends into. Ron and Hermione, that's one thing, they're used to the adventures that being friends with Harry brought about. But Luna, Neville, and Ginny certainly weren't. He didn't care too much about Neville and Luna, they could certainly look out for themself (or he hoped), but it was Ginny he was feeling worried about. If anything happened to her, it would be his fault, and he didn't know how he would deal with that.

I guess she really can hold her own though, thought Harry. He had never seen her fight like that. It almost turned him on just to watch it. SHUT UP HARRY!! Ron's sister, she's RON'S SISTER! Why was he thinking like this?

When Ginny hurt her ankle, Harry wanted to run up to her and comfort her and make all of the pain go away. Had he not had more pressing matters on his hands, that's probably just what he would have done. But no, he had to concentrate on saving Sirius and getting them ALL out of there unharmed, not just Ginny. Oh no, she's crying. She's in so much pain. There are tears in her eyes. Her beautiful brown eyes. I could get lost in those eyes, if only she would let me. Harry mentally slapped himself. She's fine, she'll be fine...must find Sirius!...

***************************

Ginny Weasley, for at least the fifth night in a row, was having trouble sleeping. All she could picture was a certain black haired man, with green eyes that had the ability of looking right through your eyes and into your soul.

Shut up Ginny!! He's your brother's best friend!

But he's just so irresistible!

Ginny sighed, and tried once again to fall asleep. When she finally did fall asleep, she fell into dreams of Harry.

She was so young. She didn't know why this was happening to her. Why her, of all people? What did You Know Who see in her? One of her best friends was Muggle-born, why should she be killing the Muggle-borns? She didn't know who to talk to about it. Nobody would believe her. They would probably just punish her, and kick her out of Hogwarts. That would be the worst possible thing. She wouldn't get to ever be a real witch. She would lose her friends. And then there was him...

Oh no! He's looking at me! Does he suspect me?! Those emerald eyes were piercing right through her. She had the feeling that Harry knew exactly what was going on. Maybe she could tell him, she knew he would understand. No Ginny! He'll tell Ron, and Ron'll tell mum, and then you'll be in trouble! She realized she just had to get through this, and she could do it...she knew it.

**A couple months later**

Coming slowly back into consciousness, Ginny saw a pair of eyes staring at her. Not just any eyes, but startlingly green eyes. She knew there was only one person these eyes could belong to...

"Harry!" she exclaimed.

"Ginny, everything is going to be alright. Riddle is dead, and you aren't going to be in any trouble, I promise!"

Tears flowed freely from her dark brown eyes, until Harry took her into his arms. He has such strong arms. I wish he would never let me go! Harry was so good at comforting Ginny. He always knew the right things to say and do...

***************************

On separate sides on the country, Harry James Potter, and Ginevra Molly Weasley were lost in dreams of each other. It was time to stop fighting their feelings. Little did they know the perfect opportunity was currently flying to them from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This would be quite the interesting year...
