It didn't take a genius to figure out what they were doing in there.

He had watched her get up from his bed after they had talked.

She had walked around the room for a bit before settling onto Harry's bed for the rest of the bed.

She had her thinking face on and he knew better then to interrupt her.

Eventually he feigned falling asleep and she didn't notice him observing her as she snuck into Harry's chest to take out his invisibility cloak.

She obviously wanted to surprise him when he came back from wherever he was brooding.

He couldn't blame him for that. Hermione had run into his arms after Harry had poured his heard out to him.

He didn't think it was possible to feel guilty and heartbroken at the same time, but he'd discovered over the last few hours that it was.

He knew he was loosing Hermione for good. But he felt worse for how he had treated Harry over the last few months. That he was loosing Hermione to him was the only thing that made things tolerable.

He still couldn't get over how blind they had both been to him and his feelings.

God, if it was me I would have exploded a long time ago. I probably would have punched him right in the nose, friendship be damned.

He still wants to be friends with me. He still wants to love her.

Why does this have to be so complicated.

I know he'll take good care of her. And she'll be perfect for him.

He closed his eyes as he spied Harry coming into the room.

"Oh Harry, I'm so sorry!"

Quickly the drapes to his bed are closed.

I wouldn't be surprised if they cast a silencing charm.

I wonder if she'll spend the night.

No. She's feeling guilty, but not THAT guilty.

I hate this.

Why does she have to be so blasted perfect.

Why did we have to both fall in love with her?

I have five older brothers, you'd think one of them would warn me that something like this would happen.

You'd think one of them would have asked after Harry at Christmas.

Hell, neither of us did, why should they.

Oh my mother is going to love this. She'll actually have a chance to call Hermione a scarlet woman to her face.

And Hermione won't have an answer except to say it's true.

Well if mom has a problem with this, she can take it up with me. I'm just as responsible as Hermione is.

I should probably figure out a way to be the bad guy in this, so people won't get suspicious when they start dating.

I mean it will look kind of funny that she stops dating me and starts dating Harry.

Better I take it on me, at least I deserve it this time.

I could always make a pass at that fourth year that's always giggling whenever I walk past her. She's as bad as my sister with her Harry fixation.

Damn it Harry! Why couldn't you have fallen for someone else?

Because it's Hermione.

She's worth loving. She's worth loosing. She's worth fighting for.

Wait a second, the drapes to his bed are opening.

That was quick. Didn't think it'd be over so soon.

He probably told her to sod off.

Ron, could you come over here for a moment, we have something we need to talk to you about.
