Catharsis

Set in the Sixth Year of our heroes’ adventures at Hogwarts. Draco Malfoy transferred to Durmstrang during their fifth year. So what’s he doing back at Hogwarts? Voldemort has gone underground and Harry dreams of violence, blood and death. Draco decides it’s time to find his freedom, and the two boys find they have more in common than they ever suspected.

Chapter 2 of Catharsis, in which Harry talks to several people, Draco plays piano and Dumbledore shares some information.

Harry learns something new, Draco loses his temper and Hermione tries to study.

Death Eaters do their worst, Hermione is curious and Draco doesn't want to miss tea.

Catharsis: an emotional release. Chapter Five, in which Harry and Draco bond over shared angst and piano, Dumbledore considers the situation, and Snape has something to say.

Catharsis: purification through emotional release. Chapter Six, in which Harry learns more about his dreams, Draco dresses Harry, Dumbledore points Draco in the right direction, Harry and Draco dance (though not with each other), and Harry has a pleasant dream (for a change).

Catharsis: purification through emotional release. Chapter Seven, in which Quidditch is played, Harry asks the right questions, more piano playing occurs and things heat up a bit.

Catharsis: purification through emotional release. Chapter Eight, in which Draco confronts his feelings, Harry has another nightmare and the boys get down to some serious kissing. Yes, they're gay. Give it up.

Catharsis: purification through emotional release. Chapter Nine, featuring surreptitious library visits, potion-making, Snape the consultant, some timely conversations, and a tiny bit of snoggage. Love it or leave it, muffins. It's slash for a reason.
