A single tear slid down Ginny's face as she looked over the ocean. His arm wrapped around her waist, holding her close to him as they stood on the jetty. It was nearly a year since it had happened and there was no way she was going to let the love she had found go.

A wave caught a beam of sunlight before it crashed on the jetty support beams. Ginny looked above the waters at the red sun that looked like it was sinking into the water.

How had it happened so fast? How could I have let him go so easily?

Ginny had been in Australia now for a month and she couldn't help but be overwhelmed with the country and its people.

"You are more beautiful than a million sunsets," the man next to her whispered and a second tear rolled down her cheek.

What had she seen in him? She asked herself again and again. She had never been complimented when she was with him.

The sun disappeared and they walked back along the jetty to the beach. He helped her sit down and sat after her. They watched the waves crashing along the shore, he turned her to face him, kissing her gently on the lips. She looked at her fiancée and gave a happy sigh.

The wind began to pick up and they returned to the place they were calling home.

They made passionate love and soon after he fell asleep, with his arms wrapped around her. Ginny untangled herself from him and got out of bed, walking over to the window she looked out over the sea. Storm clouds had covered the night sky.

She went to her bag, picking up her diary then softly padding her way into the dining room. She sat at the table and picked up a pen there was nothing that she felt like writing, so she replaced the diary and went outside on to the verandah.

In silence, she watched the ocean, brilliant colours were being displayed that night. Silver against gray in the clouds, reflecting against the deep green of the sea all swirling together to remind her of his eyes.

She heard a soft moan and gentle footsteps as he approached her.

"Ginny?" he asked, "Are you all right?"

She turned to him and looked into his eyes, the lightning storm contained in those beautiful eyes, softened with the love.

"Nothing is wrong," she answered and he gave a soft sigh.

"You're thinking about him again." Draco said, sounding a bit hurt.

"Yes." Ginny looked back at the ocean, she couldn't lie to him. "He hurt me so much."

"The hurt will go soon," he said softly, gathering her in his arms.

She looked into his face, it was so full of love. His eyes shone out the feelings within him.

To think, he used to be such a bastard at school, and now, he was different.

She knew he had changed, knew that he would always love and care for her, wait forever for her if need be. She had fallen into his arms in despair and found his warm and inviting, she´d fallen in love with this man. She was his. He was hers. She could tell all of this by looking into his eyes.

He kissed her softly on the lips and whispered, "I love you. Now and forever."

"I love you too," she whispered.

He gathered her in his arms and carried her back to bed, wrapping his arms around her and smiling happily.

"I love you so much," he whispered, before falling asleep.

Ginny lay awake, thoughts running through her head. Why did Harry have to do that to me? She thought angrily. They had been happy, but his head had been too big for his shoulders. She should have known better.

At first she had tried to ignore the signals. Even if he´d smell slightly like perfume when he got home late from work, his face flushed.

She remembered the day when she finally caught him out extremely well.

She had had a business meeting with Draco in the morning, and that night she invited him over for dinner with Harry and herself. He´d told her he was a great cook and offered to help her prepare the meal. She´d thought she would surprise Harry with both a delicious meal and a guest, since he wouldn´t be home for another few hours. She and Draco could talk about times at school.

She and Draco had done a bit of shopping and had decided to walk over to her place, but when they had arrived there, Ginny had seen a car in the driveway.

"Is that your car?" Draco had asked.

"No," Ginny had said confused, she began to run towards the house but Draco grabbed her arm.

"Don't go running in," he said softly. He began taking soft steps and she followed him.

She unlocked the front door and stepped in. The noises from upstairs had left nothing to the imagination. Ginny broke Draco's grip and ran upstairs. Draco heard her scream as well as another woman's and Harry's surprised yell.

Draco had rushed upstairs and caught Ginny as she turned to run out of the room.

"How could you do this to me?" Ginny cried. "After everything..."

Draco gave Harry the most deadly glare he had ever given, as Ginny ran around getting her belongings together. The woman covered herself with the sheets and Harry grabbed a pillow, covering himself up as he tried to talk to Ginny.

She had ignored him and run out with a bag, but Draco stood there a bit longer.

"How could you?" Draco snarled, before he stalked out of the room after Ginny.

Ginny had stayed with Draco for a few weeks until she found her own place to live. Even so, Draco and her had continued to be good friends, he visited her often and after a few months had asked her out. Four months ago, he had asked her to marry him.

She had let Harry go completely and had grown to trust this man. He had helped her to learn how to love again.

When Ron and Hermione had heard what had happened between Ginny and Harry, both were extremely angry. Ron was ready to go and smash Harry's face in but Ginny had told them she had forgiven Harry, simply because of the fact that he had brought her to her soul mate.

She felt the last tears fall for Harry this evening and fell asleep with a promise to herself to always love and honor this man who now lay asleep, his arms wrapped tight around her.

They remained in Australia for another two weeks then returned to England for their wedding.

On her wedding day, Ginny stood nervously with her father behind big wooden doors, waiting for the music to start. Her father gave her hand a comforting squeeze as the music started.

When the priest asked if there were any objections to the marriage comma Harry stood up in the back.

"Why do you think these two should not be married?" the priest asked.

All eyes turned to Harry.

"Because I love her," Harry called out. "I still love you Ginny. And I'm sorry that I did that, I really am."

Ginny looked at him and smiled. "I'm sorry Harry," she said, "but I love Draco more than anything else in this whole entire world."

She looked at Draco and saw him smile. She glanced back at Harry.

"I'm sorry I don't feel the same way you feel about me."

Draco lifted her hand and kissed it softly. Harry slowly sat down again and the wedding continued as if Harry hadn't said a thing.

After Draco had lifted the veil and kissed her, it sealed their love. Everyone clapped and cheered. He knew that she only wanted him and he was no longer second best.

"I now give you, Draco and Ginny Malfoy," the priest cried.

To date, it had been the happiest day in Ginny's life.

And while they were together, there would be more surprises in store for them.
