- The excert from a poem at the beginning of the story is one I wrote. Again, many thanks to my betas AmethystPhoenix and Lord_Phoenix, who gave me the idea of putting some of my poetry at the beginning of each chapter.
Your pain makes me want to cry
Knowing I can't comfort you
It's hard to believe
That I ever wanted someone else

It took a moment for Ginny's words to sink in. "What?" Harry asked, astonished, but secretly glad. "How'd that happen?"
"We're not entirely sure," Ginny said. "Lupin came in one day, and he found Kreacher in his den, dead." Ron unusually observant, noticed Harry's look at the mention of death, and quickly changed the subject.
"Harry, did you hear about the Cannons?" Harry's mood lifted at the mention of Ron's favorite Quidditch team. He didn't care all that much for them, but he thought he'd humor Ron.
"No, what happened?" he asked, trying to sound interested.
"They're actually doing well!" Ron responded gleefully. "And they're not cheating to do it!" Hermione rolled her eyes at all the Quidditch talk, and left the room.
"You'd better go catch up with your girl," said Harry with a grin. "What do you two talk about anyway?" he asked.
"She's always trying to get me to make lists, and take notes, and study," Ron said with a grumble. "I mean, it's the summer! I want to keep Snape out of my mind for as long as possible."
"You and me both," Harry said quietly.
"Oh, sorry," Ron said. "I forgot." He left the room before he did any further damage.
"You going to leave me too?" Harry asked Ginny.
"I've got to go wash up before dinner," she said, and left.
The days passed slowly at Grimmauld Place. Harry was constantly reminded of Sirius. He actually finished his homework early for a change. He spent a lot of time talking to Ginny, whom he felt could sympathize with him the most. Spending a good portion of his time with Ginny caused a few rumors to be started, especially from Fred and George. Every time they came over from their joke shop, they teased Harry about Ginny.
"You like the Weasley blood eh Harry?" George teased.
Harry got tired of this endless teasing from the twins, and decided to talk to Ginny.
Ginny walked into the room one day as Harry was meditating. She sat down on the chair, and patiently waited for him to finish. Harry sensed her there, and said, "Thank you for not disturbing me." He turned around to face Ginny.
"I meant to ask you about that before," Ginny said. "Isn't that Latin? What does it mean?"
"It means give us peace," Harry replied. "I thought it appropriate. I just wish the fate of the world didn't rest on my shoulders." Harry deliberated for several minutes on whether to tell Ginny about the prophecy or not.
He thought, "She would understand the most. But it is a major security issue. Voldemort could get a hold of her and torture her for the information, and I couldn't bear anything to happen to Ginny." Harry looked at Ginny, and realized he had been missing something. "Where was I when she grew up?" he thought. He mentally smacked himself. "She your best friend's sister!" he thought. "You shouldn't be thinking of her like that. Besides, she's probably with some other guy." He tore his mind away from Ginny, and thought more about the prophecy. "I've got to tell someone, and she will understand the best." The voice advising him not to tell her faded away, and he told her about the prophecy.
Ginny almost cried, she could see him hurting so bad. "Anytime you need a shoulder massage, or someone to talk to, just ask," Ginny said softly, moving down next to him. "I'm here for you."
Harry looked into her eyes, a solitary tear running down his face, and Ginny thought, "Those eyes. I thought I was over him. Oh my god, I think I'm falling in love with him."
Harry watched as Ginny moved closer to him. When their lips met, he felt a feeling of peace as he had never before. It was going to be alright. Sure, he'd have to kill Voldemort, but he had his friends, and Ginny. The kiss broke off, and Harry asked, "What about Dean?"
"I just told Ron that to annoy him," Ginny responded.
"Sirius," Harry whispered painfully.
"It's alright," Ginny whispered back, as Harry relaxed into Ginny's arms, quietly crying. It was there, supporting each other, that Mrs. Weasley found them when she came to call them to dinner.
Author notes: Sorry for the short chapter, but I thought that if I made it much longer, I would ruin it. Chapter 4 is more than twice this chapter's length, and features: the trio get their OWL results, Harry has a nightmare that ends in an odd way, and George makes a joke about cinnamon buns.
