Harry Potter and the Simulacrum Seal

Harry, Ron, and Hermione leave the Dursleys' for the Burrow, where preparations are underway to attend Bill and Fleur's wedding in France. Only a few days out of Hogwarts, an attempt is made on Harry's life under the Weasleys' own roof.

Ron goes to St Mungo's. Harry meets the Minister for Magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, yet again. And after a tense confrontation with Mr Weasley, Harry leaves for France.

Harry attends Fleur's wedding. He meets Fleur's odd family, encounters Krum once again, and reminds himself of his destiny.

The plotting thickens as Harry, Ron and Hermione come up with a strategy for discovering the identity of the elusive R.A.B. The Order reorganizes after Dumbledore's death, the Ministry uses Harry even without his consent, and Ginny is frustrated by her failure at eavesdropping. Let us not forget the Dark Lord, who is doing ... nothing special? Sure he's not ...

Minerva McGonagall, the newly appointed Headmistress of Hogwarts, consults the Board of Governors regarding the fate of her school. Ghosts, poltergeists, and paintings alike express doubt in her abilities, leading to a heartfelt discussion between McGonagall and Albus Dumbledore's portrait on the differences between the living, the dead, and those in between.

The Burrow is attacked, and Harry is frustrated by his inability to cast magic without throwing himself at the mercy of the Ministry. Being sixteen frustrates Harry further when Ron and Hermione leave the Burrow to research R.A.B. without him. Finally, as the clock strikes midnight on the 31st of July, Harry receives an unwelcome birthday greeting from Lord Voldemort.

The Ministry receives a morning visitation from the Dark Lord.

The contents of Harry's letter from Voldemort are revealed ... and then they change. As the Dark Mark hovers in the air above the Ministry of Magic, the Weasley family is struck by tragedy, and an elegant trap for Harry is sprung.

Voldemort forces Harry to meet with him in a niche carved into Mr Weasley's mind. The Dark Lord has questions he wants answered and is intent on obtaining a better understanding of his foe; can Harry resist Voldemort's Legilimency?

Scrimgeour suspects Harry to be in cahoots with the Dark Lord and puts Harry under guard in St Mungo's. During this time, Percy arrives and settles a new batch of guilt onto Harry's shoulders. The next morning, Hermione and Ron rescue Harry from Scrimgeour's clutches, and the trio goes into hiding at Grimmauld Place.

When Harry, Ron, and Neville go to take their Apparition test, Harry is approached by an unknown woman who insists on meeting with him.

Harry continues to fail at Occlumency, and Harry, Ron, and Neville are inducted into the Order. When Harry meets Kitty York, they are both ambushed. Harry escapes, but only into another, more dangerous trap, leading to Harry and Snape's first encounter since Snape's betrayal.

After his duel with Snape, Harry opens the bag and gets more of Lily Potter than he bargained for. And, finally, Harry discovers the identity of R.A.B.

Harry discovers Regulus Black's middle name, Ron gets hit by a Bat-Bogey Hex, and the trio heads off to the Hog's Head to find Mundungus. A bucket of irony later, it's off to Diagon Alley, where Harry's day is made even better by a whack on the head by the Weasley twins' latest invention.

Harry, along with a reluctant Ron and Hermione, resorts to breaking and entering to retrieve the locket Horcrux. But when someone else gets there first, Harry ends up branded as a public enemy.

Harry meets with Slughorn, and the two discuss Harry's problems with Legilimency. Later, as Ginny is about to leave for Beauxbatons, she and Harry have a difficult conversation. Then, in the early days of September, Harry discovers a weakness of Voldemort's to exploit.

Harry and Hermione dive into Voldemort's mindscape again, where they find a chess board with a Horcrux hint. With their newfound information, they go back to Hogwarts to investigate and speak with Dumbledore's portrait. The portrait reveals the identity of a man with a critical piece of the Horcrux puzzle. After much prodding, that man, Flame Acestes, hands them a memory to investigate.

Harry visits Ginny at Beauxbatons. Upon returning to Britain, he examines Will's memory and discovers the location of Hufflepuff's Cup. Once they find the Horcrux, Ron triggers a trap, and Harry is forced to make a painful decision.

Harry makes his decision. The twins drop by Grimmauld Place in the dead of night and cause a stir. When a werewolf attack threatens a Muggle town, the Ministry finds itself powerless to defend it - until Harry arrives and comes face-to-face with a transformed Fenrir Greyback.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione struggle to locate the next Horcrux. Kitty York reappears and reveals a surprising secret about Lily Potter. On Halloween, the Weasley family is shattered by tragedy.

George Weasley meets the Dark Lord. When Voldemort learns of something that displeases him, Bellatrix Lestrange ends up saddled with the blame, courtesy of Severus Snape. Harry is provided with a Horcrux clue from an unlikely source: Luna Lovegood.

Harry visits Durmstrang, where he is warned of impending trouble. He discovers how Voldemort learned of Horcruxes and decides to go there himself to search for clues. Once they get there, however, things don't go as planned...

Hermione is released from Boudica's clutches, and the trio finds the location of Ravenclaw's heart. However, their victory is bittersweet; Snape escapes, and Voldemort acquires someone dear to Harry's heart.

As Voldemort prepares to meet Harry and Harry does likewise, Draco Malfoy makes a choice.

Harry and Voldemort meet in battle, with unexpected results. Who lives and who dies? The title may be deceiving...

Harry has disappeared, and the situation in the wizarding world gets worse as Voldemort takes control of the Ministry.

Harry is found again, and he enacts the first stage of his plan. While at Hogwarts, he manages to unlock the last of his mother's secrets.

Lily leaves Harry the key to defeating Voldemort, after which Harry is visited by a less pleasant version of his mother.

Harry uses the crystal for the first time, and the results are greatly displeasing to Lord Voldemort. With Ron, Hermione, and the rest of the Order, Harry is now tasked with breaking into the Department of Mysteries.

The Order breaks into the Ministry and the Department of Mysteries, and Harry enters the veil, where he encounters several old friends who help him to find and absorb the pieces of Voldemort's soul.

Harry completes his mission behind the veil with the help of old friends, family, and a mysterious woman - but the Order has vanished. When he discovers Hermione, he also comes face to face with Ginnymort again.
