Hermione-The Scarlet Woman

"Miss Granger," Professor Snape said, "you will have to stay behind after class since you were late." Professor Snape looked very pleased with himself. He had also made Draco Malfoy stay behind. This was going to be interesting. Hermione, on the other hand, had been close to tears for just about the whole period. This was the very first time she had ever been late for a class. This was also the very last class she wanted to be late for. The class worked in silence for the rest of the period. When the bell rang everyone jumped up to leave. Well, everyone but Draco and Hermione.

"Sir," Draco said, "I still don't understand why I have to stay after class."

"You only have to stay so you can show Miss Granger how to make a Shrinking Solution."

Hermione was about to say that she knew very well how to make a Shrinking Solution when Professor Snape jumped up.

"I don't care If you know how to do it or not!" He stormed out of the room muttering something about little brats.

"Well, I do know how to make one," she said to Draco.

"Then do it, then, Mudblood."

"Mudblood?"

"Oh, honestly, don't you know what a Mudblood is?"

"Of course I know what a Mudblood is."

"Yeah, because you are one."

"At least I make a better human than I do a ferret, unlike you."

"At least ferrets are cute, unlike squirrels."

BAM! Hermione slapped Malfoy across the face for the second time in her life.

"So, you felt like hitting me, didn't you?"

"Actually, I feel like hurting you a lot more, but I don't want to get expelled."

"Do you know what-" Malfoy was cut off as Professor Snape walked in the room.

"It's funny how you two can be about to kill each other and making a potion at the same time. I'm going to go take care of... something. When I get back that potion better be perfect." When he left Hermione simply muttered a simple spell and a Shrinking Solution was simmering in front of her.

"Now, where was I?" Malfoy asked her.

"Do you know what..."

"Oh yeah. Do you know what I feel like doing?" he asked her.

"No."

"I feel like doing this." Malfoy pushed her against the wall and was about to kiss her when Harry Potter walked in.

"HERMIONE! WHAT IN THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?"

"Um...well, you see I had to stay after class and Draco was, um, helping me with my potion."

"YOU CALL KISSING IN THE DUNGEONS HELPING YOU WITH YOUR POTION? SINCE WHEN DO YOU NEED HELP ANYWAY?"

"You were kissing in my classroom, Draco?" The students were so busy arguing that they hadn't noticed Snape walk in. "Well, I suggest that you take your little argument elsewhere. I have work to do." Draco sulked off to the Slytherin common room. In the Gryffindor common room Harry still wasn't talking to Hermione.

"Harry, I'm really sorry.... We didn't even kiss. Um, he sort of made me almost kiss him." Harry raised his eyebrow. "We were fighting and then he pushed me up against the wall and then you came in and saved my butt."

"I bet I did."

"You're talking to me again?"

"Why wouldn't I?"
