Chapter 10: Misjudged

She woke up naked and sore all over in a bed with somebody else. The rays of sunlight had woken her up, but so had the movements of somebody else. She smiled and looked to her side at the naked body of the man she loved dearly. His blonde hair was messy and looked utterly sexy. His head was cradled in his arms.

He looked so peaceful and gorgeous, even though he always looked hot. He stirred and mumbled a soft 'Ginny' and it made her crazy. Now that he was on his back, she got a wicked idea.

Ginny put one of her naked legs on one side of his hips. He moved a little bit and she went still. Then he went limp again and she put her other leg on the other side of his hips so she was straddling him. Leaning down, she placed sweet little kisses all across his chest, abdomen and jaw.

Her kisses woke him up. He'd felt feather-like kisses on his body and he sprung up, rolling over, so that he was on top.

"Well, well, well," he said while kissing her neck. "Look who's in control now." He looked up at her and smirked. She laughed and smiled up at him.

Ginny sighed and said, "Good morning, Draco." Her words were soft and a small smile was on her lips, like she was savoring this precious moment.

He smiled a little at her and pushed one of her auburn hairs away from her pale skin. "Good morning to you too, Ginny," he whispered. Then he kissed her. It was soft at first and then as it went on it grew stronger with a burning passion and when they broke apart, they were breathless.

"I love you, Ginevra Weasley," he murmured into her neck.

"I love you too, Draco Malfoy," she breathed, playing with his hair. More than you'll ever know, she added silently.

Donna hated walking down the corridors late at night. They were always barely lit and on some of the hallways there was no light. But she had to. She had to walk around, it was the only way she could clear her mind. Her fear of the dark would have to be left alone for a while, at least until she felt normal again.

Why had she heard Justin say her special nickname just before she and Landon had almost kissed? Was she not supposed to kiss him? Was she not supposed to give her first kiss to any other boy but Justin? It was the only thing that seemed to go through her head and she was beginning to think she would go crazy soon.

She leaned against the wall and closed her eyes. Sighing, she slid down to the floor and brought her knees to her chest.

Fuck it all, she thought. This is all too much. Donna let out another long breath and rested her head against the wall. She felt tears welling up in her eyes, but even though she was alone, she refused to let them fall. She would not let Justin make her cry again.

Again, she thought. It wouldn't be the first time. He's made me cry before. How can I be - how could I be - in love with someone who has made me cry already?

She didn't love him. She couldn't.

"Donna?" a hand was shaking at her shoulder and she opened her eyes slowly. She was in a barely lit room and...on the floor? Her back was stiff and her neck hurt perfidiously. She winced as she sat up and started to massage her neck softly. Squinting through her sleepiness, Donna saw Landon kneeling in front of her.

"Landon? Where am I?" she asked in a hoarse voice after putting a charm on her breath so it didn't stink. Her throat hurt and it felt very odd to talk, like she hadn't in ages.

"You're in a hallway," Landon said. Donna stood up and leaned her back to the wall while rubbing her sore neck. "It's only two in the morning.

"Sleeping in a hallway is not at all pleasant," she moaned. Donna looked up at him. "It's still dark...what are you doing up all ready?"

He blushed a little and said, "I needed to walk around a bit. My head was hurting so I thought I'd go see if Pomfrey had a potion for me. But I feel loads better. I'm seeing you."

Donna smiled at him and was silent. Her neck was still sore and her head was pounding with a headache.

As if reading her mind, Landon said, "I know something that will make you neck better. My wands back in my common room, though. Let's go get it."

In his common room, Donna thought in her head. What if I find Justin in there? What if he sees me with Landon? Oh, that would be so awkward.

"Um...sure," she said uncertainly, still not sure if she should risk the chance of seeing Justin or not.

"Are you sure?"

She didn't respond quite so quickly. She didn't know if she would be able to handle seeing Justin. Justin seeing her with Landon would hurt him and she knew it.

But she still smiled at him and said, "I'm sure. Let's go." He smiled back at her and grabbed her hand lightly. Then they were walking down the hallways to the Hufflepuff common room.

Donna didn't want to hurt Justin, she didn't want to hurt anybody, but Justin had hurt her so much and knew he was. She shouldn't feel bad. If Justin didn't like the fact that Donna was with Landon, well too bad. He had had his chance and he had walked away.

So trying her hardest to forget about Justin, Donna took Landon's hand and walked with him to the Hufflepuff common room.

"You might feel a little dizzy during this but it'll go away in a few seconds," Landon warned her. "Then you'll have no headache and you'll feel better."

Donna smiled and said; "Go on with it, then. If it'll make the intense pounding in my head vanish I'll be okay."

Landon smiled back at her and then said a few words that sounded like the came from a different world with his wand pointed at her left temple. She felt dizzy all of a sudden and almost fell over. She felt as if she might vomit so she covered her mouth with her hand. Then it all stopped and she felt fine. Her head wasn't pounding and she didn't feel sick at all.

"All better?" he whispered while rubbing her back. She looked up at him, nodded, and smiled. He smiled back at her before hesitantly leaning in towards her. She looked at him and he looked at her, words lost in both their heads. She nodded as he stayed a centimeter above her lips and then he dove right in.

It was soft and gentle but once she opened her mouth to him, it became more passionate. She fell to her back from the intensity of the kiss and he was on top of her. He started kissing her with a hunger and force that literally scared her.

Donna put her hands on Landon's chest and tried to push him away. She moved her face away from his and looked at the crimson colored rug.

"Wha-what?" he stuttered, gasping for breath as he loomed above her.

"I can't do this yet," she said. "I'm only twelve and we've only gone on one date. I can't do this with you."

"Donna, I-."

"I don't think I should see you anymore," she said, wishing he would move. But he didn't. He staying right on top of her and looked down at her with a look of confusion in his eyes. "Could you please get off of me?"

"I-I don't understand," he said, still not moving. "Am I not good enough for you? Would you prefer Justin Lovegood? If I were him would you do this? Would you, Donna?"

"N-no, it's not that," she said, wondering why he was acting like this. "It's not that at all. This is not about Justin."

"Then what is it about, Donna? Is it me?"

"How could you not understand? I am twelve years old. I'm not ready to have sex yet! Are you crazy?"

"Come on, Donna," he said while beginning to kiss her neck. "Let's just do this. You know me well enough."

"No," she said as tears began creeping into her eyes. Why was he doing this? "No. Please. Just get off me."

He began groping her breasts as she tried fighting him off. Then while he was kissing her neck, he ripped her shirt open down the front and the tears fell from her eyes.

"Stop! Stop it! Please. St-NO! Stop it!" His hands were at her waist and he was tugging her pajama shorts down. Once they were down, his hand went to her panty line in between her thighs and he stuck his index finger into her, torturing her even more.

"STOP IT! NO! Please! Just stop! I swear, if you get off me I won't tell anybody! I swear! Please!"

"WHAT IS GOING ON?" Both Donna and Landon looked up and saw a pissed off Justin Lovegood standing at the bottom of the stairs. Landon jumped off of her and fixed his hair. She jumped off the couch and ran towards the door but Justin stopped her. He gave her his robe so she could cover up and said, "Don't worry. I'll take care of it."

Justin walked over to Landon who was sputtering out words, trying to explain what was happening. He only got out a few more words before Justin's fist met Landon's face. He fell back and soon Justin was beating the shit out of Landon.

Meanwhile, Donna stood by the door crying and yelling for Justin to stop before he killed Landon.

"HE HURT YOU!" Justin yelled back. "HE HURT YOU! HE DESERVES TO DIE!"

"Justin, please! Please, just stop it!" A minute later, Justin got of off Landon and walked back over to Donna. Landon lay on the floor, soaking in his own blood. He was still breathing and then he got up and staggered up the stairs and into his room, afraid to go to Madam Pomfrey because then he would have to explain how this started, and of course, he was so weak he could think of a good lie.

Justin lightly grabbed onto Donna's hand and led her up to his room. Once they were there, he shut the door and she ran to his open arms. He held her as she sobbed and tried soothing her but it was like trying to sooth a person who'd just gotten the Crucio curse five million times - it wasn't going to happen.

As he held her, he led her to his bed and sat her down. She pulled away from him and looked at him while he wiped her tears away.

"It's okay now, DJ," he whispered. "I'm not going to hurt you. You're all right here. He can't get to you in here."

"Th-thank you, Justin," she said in a chocked voice. "Oh my God I am such an idiot. I can't believe I actually liked him. I thought he liked me too, but I guess all he really wanted to do was shag me."

Justin got up and went over to his dresser. He pulled out a long white shirt and black and green-checkered boxers.

Walking back over to her he said, "Here. You can wear these tonight."

"Thanks. Do you mind if I stay here tonight? I'm kind of scared to walk back to my common room alone."

He looked at her for a moment before saying, "Yeah, sure. It's okay. I understand. I would be afraid to walk back if I was you too."

She smiled and looked down at her lap. He got the message and turned around. While he looked the other way, she changed into his clothes and then climbed into his bed.

"Okay, I'm dressed." He turned back around and then climbed into his bed as well. "Justin?"

"Yeah?"

"I want you to hold me all night long, okay? Promise me that you'll never let go and protect me, Justin. Promise me."

"I promise," he whispered. She cuddled in close to him and rested her head on his chest. Carefully, he put his arm around her as his heartbeat grew steadily fast.

All night long, he held onto her, as he lay awake. He would protect her as best as he could. Landon Harper could never get to her as long as she was with him. She was safe.
