Chapter 3

Truth or Dare

It was only one week later when Alaina was hugging her parents, and telling them good-bye. She boarded the Hogwarts Express, and dragged her trunks until she found an empty compartment. Alaina didn't want to be with anybody right now. She needed to think about what she had down over the week.

At first, she only cut once a day. Then twice a day. She went to a total of five times a day, everyday. Her arms were covered with scars and scabs and red marks from where the blood stained her arms.

Everyday she would talk to Tom Riddle through the diary. She told him what was happening to her, and she trusted him. He always knew how to comfort her, how to hold her without touching her. She wouldn't deny she had feelings for him, and she wanted to meet him badly.

Alaina never mentioned Tom's name to her parents after the first time. She knew if she kept on pushing it, they'd find out what was really going on, and she didn't want that.

She heard the compartment door opening and she looked up, two boys she knew had walked in, Daniel Deston, and Kyle Johnson, sixth year Slytherin's. They were both incredibly good looking, smart, and popular. They had girls jumping at them left and right.

Well, except for the Ravenclaw's who were too busy sticking their noses in textbooks or working on homework.

"Well, well, well," Daniel said, leaning against the wall of the compartment. "Look who we have here. Little Miss. Alaina Malfoy. My, you grew up over the summer."

Alaina blushed. It was true. Even though she had been gorgeous when she was younger, over this summer, her looks had changed drastically. Well, to her they had. She used to have to wear contacts, but the first week of summer her parents finally allowed her to have her eyes fixed. She hadn't been overweight, but she had lost about ten pounds because she didn't want people thinking she was fat, even though she wasn't. Her normally curly hair had been permanently straightened. Her boobs, which had been a 36 B before the summer had grown a lot and now she was almost too big for her D cup bra. To her, she looked even more gorgeous than she had before.

"Almost didn't recognize you there with your mum and dad," Kyle smirked at her. It was hard being a Weasley/Malfoy daughter, but over the years she grew more comfortable with it. She had a lot of talent with magic, bravery, and anything a Slytherin could do, she could do. Aliana was perfect.

"What are you doing here anyways?" Alaina asked, looking at the two boys curiously. Over the past four years, they had never talked to her. Never noticed her.

"Well you don't expect us to ignore you," Daniel said, astounded by her tone. Like they had treated her like shit. "Look at you. Gorgeous Alaina. How could we not?"

"Well, Daniel, you have never talked to me for as long as I've been here. So you can't blame me for wondering why you're talking to me." Alaina smirked at the boys as a confused looked graced their gorgeous faces. They looked at each other, then over to Alaina again.

Kyle walked over and sat down next to Alaina. His hand found its way to Alaina thigh. His hand was awfully high, and close to slipping down to the inside's on her legs.

Alaina sighed at his touch. It had been way too long since she'd had any physical contact with a boy, and right now, she was craving any guy to just touch her.

"How about, you get your friends, we'll get our friends, go to the back of the train where the fifth years are allowed and have our own party?" Kyle's voice was soft, and sounded as if the only thing he wanted to do was be on top of Alaina.

"Okay," Alaina whispered back. She got up, looked at the frown on Kyle's face and laughed. He'd looked disappointed now that he wasn't touching her. She couldn't blame him with her; the spot on her leg where he had touched her was now cold. But nonetheless, she wanted to party, so she left the compartment and searched the train for all of her friends.

An hour later, the back room on the train was crowded with boys and girls. People were dancing to the blaring music playing, some people making out, and some were fooling around. Then, the music was turned down and everyone could hear the sound of someone clinking something to a cup. Everyone turned to face the sound, and saw Austin Potter, the son of Harry and Luna Potter, smiling at everybody.

"I believe it is time for some Truth or Dare," he said, and everybody got up and formed a circle around the room. People were squished, but oh well.

"Okay, I'll go first," Daniel said, shifting into a comfortable position. "Jessica, truth or dare?"

Jessica smiled. Jessica Romano, a fifth year Slytherin. She had curly brown hair that went about a quarter down her back and hazel brown eyes. She wasn't fat and she wasn't too skinny. Everyone knew who Jessica was. In first year, she had been known as the nerd. Then in second year, she changed that and got called a slut because she flashed a lot of guys. Every year someone was calling her name and it got around the school. So by Fifth year, everybody knew who she was.

"Dare," Jessica said, excited about what her dare was.

Daniel thought for a moment. "I dare you to make out with Kaliah for five seconds. And remember, you only get three chickens."

Jessica and Kaliah looked at each other. Kaliah Jamison was a fifth yeah Slytherin. She had long black hair and black eyes that could hypnotize anybody who looked at her. It was a no brainier why she got perfect scores on everything she did. Kaliah was known around the whole school as a 'slut who flirts with anybody to get a perfect grade.'

"How about it?" Kaliah asked, flipping her hair over her shoulder. Jessica shrugged and they were crawling toward each other. Their faces came closer and soon they were kissing. People were counting loudly.

After five seconds, the two girls pulled away from each other and went back to their spots.

"My turn!" Kaliah said, excited. "How about..." A clever looked crossed her face as she turned toward Alaina. "Alaina, truth or dare?"

Alaina thought, and then said, "Dare."

"I dare you to take a line of cocaine," Kaliah sneered at her. Kaliah had always hated Alaina. Alaina didn't know why, and she didn't care.

"Oh I'm sorry, Kaliah," Alaina said with sarcasm dripping from her words. "I seem to have forgotten mine in my room."

"Oh, silly Alaina," Kaliah smiled at her, a fake smile. "I have some with me. Here. Take it. Unless, of course, you're too big of a chicken to do it."

Alaina looked around the circle only to see everyone looking at her. Everything in her body was telling her to say no, but she knew that everyone would laugh at her if she did. She'd worked too hard to give all of her popularity up in one stupid dare.

"Fine," Alaina snatched the box of cocaine from Kaliah's hand. Kaliah handed her a board and a straw. Alaina spread the cocaine over the board, put the straw on it and stuck the straw close to her nose.

The first snort made Alaina feel horrible. She felt as if she would die. But then as she got halfway down a line, she was numb and couldn't feel a thing. She was at an incredible high, and she felt great. This feeling was wonderful, and she wanted it more.

When she finished the line, she went up to start another line, but then James Jamison, Kaliah's cousin, pulled it away. While Kaliah was a slut and a Slytherin, James was the exact opposite. He was in Gryffindor, and even though he was gorgeous and popular, he didn't play girls like most of the other guys who were gorgeous and popular did.

"You are so stupid," James whispered so only she could hear him. "Come on, I'm taking you back to your compartment."

He pulled Alaina up and helped her stand since her legs couldn't hold themselves up for more then two seconds.

"Where are you taking her?" Daniel asked James, jumping to his feet.

"Away from you," James said, glaring at Daniel. "All you're doing is hurting her. This stupid game of yours made her try drugs. Why don't you try snorting cocaine up your nose and we'll see how you feel later?"

"Wait a minute," Daniel said; grabbing Alaina's arm and James attempted to bring her you of the room. "Maybe she doesn't want to go."

James pulled Alaina back to him. "I don't care. Staying here with you will kill her."

Daniel pulled Alaina back, and soon a tug-of-war was going on. Daniel pulled her to him, and then James pulled her to him. Her head was killing her, and she wanted all the noise to stop. She didn't want to be touching anything.

Alaina fell to the ground. James rushed over to her side, but Daniel stayed standing a few feet away from her.

"Alaina? Alaina?" James was asking her. Alaina grabbed her head and prayed that all the noise would stop. "Are you okay? Alaina?"

"SHUT UP!" Alaina cried. Tears were pouring down her face, and the room was silent. Everyone was staring at her. Alaina had never cried, never shown any sign of weakness. "Just, shut up. And take me to the bathroom."

James nodded, and picked her up. Nobody tried to stop him as he carried her out of the room.
