Christmas at Hogwarts~

Hermione's light from her wand was glowing late into the night. Her quill was scratching on an old green book. She wrote~

Dear Diary,

I can't wait until the holidays. Yes I know it's strange for me, but I can't wait. Ron and Harry are both staying so I won't be alone. I'm anxious for a break off studying. There's just too much to think about and all this home work is making me tired, cranky, and snappish.

Of course I'm not only doing school work, I'm also helping those poor little elves out with their cleaning. I've been cleaning Gryffindor tower every night before bed, so they don't have to clean it themselves and have more time to do other things, that they want to do. S.P.E.W. is coming on strong. I can't believe Ron still doesn't know the name yet, he keeps calling it spew. I always correct him and say it's not spew it's the Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare.

Speaking of Ron a strange thing happened the other day. I was in the library, as always, studying, as always, and Ron came up to me and sat at my table it seemed he had just gotten off from quittich (my goodness I don't even know how to spell it yet) practice, he was all muddy and looked worn out. All he did was sit and stare at me as though looking for something wrong about me, he stared and stared until I looked up he quickly looked away. After a while he left, and I resumed to my studying. After about thirty minutes he came back well groomed, clean, tall looking, and (as I couldn't help noticing) very handsome.

After enduring a lot more staring from him he came close whispered in my ear come with me. Of course I went, not sure what was going to happen, but I went all the same. He took my hand and pulled me out of the library. He went into a dark corridor on the sixth floor he paced three times across the wall and a door appeared. He grabbed hold of the handle and beckoned for me to follow him in. I went and he closed the door he quickly whispered in my ear,( four words I will never in all my life forget) I love you Hermione. He swiftly kissed me on the lips, and his ears turning red ran out of the room and down a few corridors I suppose. It seemed like I was in bliss for the rest of the day. I couldn't have paid attention in any of my classes even if I had wanted to. I had to think about what had happened, my mind was saying over and over he loves me and amazingly I realized I really loved him back. Luckily Ron wasn't as embarrassed as I had thought he might be after our little meeting. He pretended not to have had the meeting at all.

Well the rest of the day I don't really remember, but it seemed to have gone rather quickly. I really have to be getting to bed it's already twelve past one.
