"All of my life, where have you been? I wonder if I'll ever see you again..."
-Lenny Kravitz

"Trinity, the infinity...no... that's not right!"

"Come on Trin give it up! You can't use your name in one of your poems! Its just too weird!"

"Of course you would say that Mandy."

"Guys, guys, chill!" Velma sat down at the Ravenclaw table for breakfast. "It's a beautiful winter morning, we're fourth years. Not first years. Lets go outside! Have a snowball fight with the Gryffindors! I already asked Velia, she was high for the idea!"

"Oh! Is Oliver going to be there?"

"Yes Sophie. But you know that he's going to be attached to Luella. They've been inseparable since the beginning of third year."

"I know. I mean a girl can only take a year of reject before she gets over him...but why am I not over him? He's such a great guy. Cute, new Quidditch player... Who wouldn't like him?"

"We've heard this before sista'."

"Well you'll hear it again."

"GUYS!" Velma jumped up, hitting her knee on the table. She grasped it as she sat down again.

"Are you ok?" Mandy, Trinity and Sophie had gotten up from their seats at the table. Mandy, a tall blonde with shining hazel eyes; Trinity a short blonde with a cherub face and baby blue eyes; and Sophie, a tall, sandy brunette with almost purple blue eyes and a kind smile. Velma looked at them all, grateful for her wonderful friends. And these weren't even half of them!

"I'm ok...I'm ok, sit down and start eating."

"Don't you think you should go to Madam Pomfrey?" Mandy inquired.

"Chill out guys, its just a bruised knee!" Velma started to get a little frustrated. Maybe her friends were a little overprotective.

"Well, we don't want the underhand in our snow fight against Gryffindor do we? Those bloody...they've won for the past two years!" Ah. Inside interests...Velma smiled.

"Ah, that they did. But only because they cheated." Sophie glared, looking sly.

"Are you suggesting magic?"

"No, deary me no. I'm suggesting we get someone on the inside." Someday Sophie is going to be a secret agent for the government, Velma thought.

"Oh! An undercover agent! How rich!" Trinity squealed, before her friends could hush her. They simultaneously turned around, finding the Gryffindors were staring right at them.

"This will make a great poem! Maybe Professor will give me extra credit! 'The Muggle Snow Fight'... yeah!"

"Excuse me Trin, but there is nothing muggle-like about a snow fight. It was originated by wizards!" Mandy raised an eyebrow, turning back around to stick her spoon in her yellow Jell-O.

"You don't know that!"

"Lets just leave this snow fight to our memories, not the books, ok Trin? You can write something about it later." Sophie sighed, taking a drink of her water.

Meanwhile, at the Gryffindor table, Velia told her friends about the fight as she dug into her French toast and pancakes.

"Molly, Dan, Owen, Lu... we have a war on our hands. The Ravenclaws have challenged us to a snow fight. Upon this challenge-"

"Wait! They have less people! It won't be fair!" Molly, an average height brunette with tons of freckles, jumped in.

"Yes Mo, I know. Legolas is joining their team. He's impartial anyway, it doesn't matter to him."

"Why are you bringing me into this?"

"Why Owen? Why? Because you're Lu's friend and a Gryffindor. You wouldn't want Ravenclaw to break our record of winning would you? Are you a, gasp, spy?"

"Dan, stop it." Velia turned back to the rest and continued her debriefing. "The fight will take place after lunch, out on the grounds. There is only one rule- no magic. I promised Velma, and she promised me. I know you think they think we cheat-" Velia stopped and looked confused, but continued. "But nevertheless we need to carry on. Yes. Erm, move out? Oh, I always wanted to say that!"

"Where am I in this particular plan?" Oliver piped up, his pumpkin juice dribbling down his chin.

"Dear, you're making a mess!" Luella giggled, taking her gold napkin to dab it away. As she got closer she whispered sweet nothings into his ear, literally. She just blew in it. Oliver smirked and pushed her away.

"Ahem!" Velia rolled her eyes as if she thought this was inappropriate.

"Hypocrite!" Luella stuck her tongue out at Velia.

"As I was saying! Oliver, you will be our...em... You can come with us."

"That's more people then! Again!" Molly frowned.

"MO! SHUT UP!" Velia stared at her wide-eyed. "I can DO the math! They're having an acquaintance join their team. A Hufflepuff." Owen snickered.

"A Hufflepuff? Are you sure?"

"Owen, despite your prejudices, Hufflepuffs can be as mean as Slytherins. They are just more loyal."

"I've heard this before Luella. You are undoubtedly the champion of the misunderstood. Or so you think. You can't defend everyone." Luella glared at him.

"I'm just brave enough to stand up for others, unlike you. Follow the crowd Owen. Mistreat people Owen. They won't care. No, Owen is above the punishment for stereotyping, aren't you Owen. Assume and you make an ASS out of yourself." Luella looked like she could bend steel. Back off, please! Velia thought desperately, biting her lip. Owen didn't even blink.

"I bet you your mother told you that did she?"

"As a matter of fact she did. Do you have a problem with my mother?" Owen laughed, and Luella's face softened. She leaned over and they hugged. "I'm sorry."

"Quite alright. Just buy me a new yellow shirt."

"What ever for?"

"Just because I love the color yellow."

"Hufflepuff colors are yellow and black."

"Don't get into that again please."

"I heartily agree with Owen." Dan broke in again, a silly smile plastered over his face. "You two give me a headache."
