Author's Note:
This really, really stinks. If you have read my other fics, and still have not taken the hint that I write horribly, you will know I say that about everything I write, and I only speak the truth. I liked darkfics, and I like songfics... hence the creation of this awful piece of writing. Do not lie by saying it's good in your review, which you will hopefully leave.

Unwanted

Remus Lupin stood on the Hogwarts Express anxiously. He didn't have any friends, and wasn't sure where to sit. The train was going to leave any minute. Suddenly, three boys walked down the corridor.

"Hey," said one of them. He had long black hair and black eyes. "I'm Sirius. These two idiots are James and Peter. Who're you?"

"SIRIUS!" said the boy named James. "You idiot!"

"Oh, you're too kind, Sirius. Too kind," Peter mumbled.

"I know I'm too kind, Pete. Who're you?" Sirius said, turning back to Remus.

"Remus Lupin."

"Nice to meet you," Sirius said, holding out his hand.

All I did was walk over,

Start off by shaking your hand.

That's how it went...

"Hey, Remus, you wanna sit with us?" James asked. "There's an empty compartment here..."

Remus shrugged. "Why not?"

"Oh, and by the way," Peter said, "Sirius is the real idiot."

"Am not!" said Sirius.

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

Remus smiled nervously. He sat up straight, staring at the three boys. They seemed so... together. How could he ever fit in with them - or anyone else for that matter - being what he was?

I had a smile on my face

And I sat up straight.

Oh yea...

I wanted to know you,

I wanted to show you...

"Hey, don't be so quiet, dude," Sirius said. "It's like, totally weird, man."

"Sirius has a slight mental condition," James whispered.

"I HEARD THAT JAMES POTTER!" Sirius yelled.

"What did I say then?" James said with a smile on his face.

"Er..."

"Hey look at this!" Peter said, pointing at his Tarot cards. "I got that four people will meet up this year for the first time. They'll all become best friends. Then, twenty years from now, one of them will be dead at another's hand, one will be suffering once every month, and one will be running from something. Bah! Load of toosh," Peter said, throwing the Tarot cards out the window.

"Hey, it could be us," said Sirius, getting excited. "Look, we're four people..."

"Oh, well spotted," James sighed.

"We've all just met, and we're like, best friend material!"

"Er- no," Remus said. "You don't want me to be your friend."

"Aw, come on, Remus," James whined. "Don't you want to fulfill the prophecy?"

Remus secretly thought that Sirius was right. I mean, how many other people suffer only once a month?

"Nope."

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

You don't want me there

You just shove me out.

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

If you want your way you just

Shove me out.

Let me go away...

"Please?" James said.

"What if I get Sorted into Slytherin or something?" Which I more likely then not will, he thought. "Would you want to be my friend then?"

"Aw, you're too good for Slytherin," Peter said.

"Wanna bet?" Remus mumbled.

"What was that?" James said.

"Er- nothing."

"Please?" Sirius said, giving him a pleading look.

"Oh no, not the puppy dog eyes..."

Sirius stuck his lower lip out. "All right," Remus sighed.

One year later...

"Hello?" Remus said. "I am in the room, you know."

"Really? How clever of you," Sirius said sarcastically.

"Earth to James! Hello, I am talking to you?"

"Just a little spaced out," James mumbled.

"Yea, yea..." Peter muttered.

"Why aren't you talking to me? Are you mad at me or something?"

Oh...

I just don't understand why

You won't talk to me,

It hurts...

"Maybe," Sirius said.

"Don't know," Peter said.

"Not sure," James said.

"How can you not be sure if you're mad at me or not?"

"Ahh..."

"Well? I'm waiting."

"Because we're not sure whether we should we mad at you for lying to us or sorry for you because you're a werewolf!" Peter blurted out.

"PETER!" Sirius and James screamed.

"Whoops," Peter said, covering his mouth.

Remus's lip trembled. They had found out. They were going to desert him. He knew it would come sooner or later...

I'm so unwanted,

For nothing,

The talk was against me.

I wanted to know you,

I wanted to show you...

"Oh," Remus managed to squeak. "I- I guess I'll pack my stuff."

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

You don't want me there you just

Shove me out.

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

If you want your way you just

Shove me out.

"WHAT???"

Remus didn't answer. He just ran up the stairs to the boys' dorm. He heard heavy footsteps close behind him.

Remus started throwing his things in his trunk. His books, his wand, his robes...

"Remus, what in bloody hell are you doing?" came James's voice.

"I'm leaving. Going home. Where I belong," Remus croaked. He ran his finger across the scar on his shoulder where he had been bitten so many years before.

"We don't want you to go, you bonehead!" Sirius said.

"No, really, I ought to..."

"Remus, you are not leaving this room until we have a little chat," Peter said.

"No, guys, really, just let me go..."

Let me go away.

Let me go away.

I tried to belong,

It didn't seem wrong,

My head aches!

"No," James said firmly. "Listen, like Pete said, we know your secret. We respect that you are what you are, and it's not your fault. What we don't respect, however, is the lying."

"The lying that kept us confused for hours upon hours," Sirius sighed.

"Of course, Sirius is always confused, so..."

"PETE!"

"Just saying..."

Remus's eyes filled with tears. "You- you don't care? You really mean it?"

"Of course we mean it, Remus," Sirius said. "You're our friend, and nothing's gonna change that."

"But really, I can't put you through this..."

"Yes, you can," Peter said. "And you will."

"Sorry, Rem, but you're stuck with us," James said.

It's been so long to

Write this song,

That's what it takes!

"Really, you don't know me... not the real me," Remus whispered.

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

You don't want me here you just

Shove me out.

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

If you want your way you just

Shove me out.

Let me go away...

"There are two of you?" Sirius asked, confused. "Really?"

"See what I meant?" Peter whispered to him.

"No, Sirius, I mean... the wolf. That's what I really am."

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

You don't want me there you just

Shove me out.

You don't know me,

Don't ignore me,

If you want your way you just

Shove me out.

Let me go away...

Let me go away...

"As far as I'm concerned," James said, "you are Remus Lupin. So what if you're someone else one day out of twenty-nine? Not even a whole day. Not even a day at all. There are worse things, Remus."

"Name one."

"You could be a vampire," Sirius suggested.

"Or a werepire," Peter said. The three others stared at him.

"What? It's a werewolf and a vampire!"

"Yea, whatever, Pete," Sirius said.

"Seriously, I should go..."

"NO!" said the other three boys.

Let me go away!

"Please?"

"NO!"

"Why not?"

"NO!"

"Oh fine," Remus sighed. "But only on one condition."

"What?" Peter asked.

"Please don't tell anyone."

"Done," the other three boys said at the same time. They laughed. Everything was back to normal. Or as normal as it can get with a werewolf.
