Chapter 7
Mmmm…Kissing
As Bill stood holding this amazing girl in his arms, all he wanted to do was go back to the flat. She wasn't smiling but she didn't need to, her eyes said everything. She wanted his am much as he wanted her. He bent his face towards hers. When their lips touched, it was as if they were never, ever meant to be apart. Nothing ever felt so right, so meant to be. Sofia pulled her arms from beneath his, and put them around his neck. She pulled herself closer to him (as if it were even possible), closer to his kiss. Inwardly cursing him for being so blissfully tall, she stood up on her tippy toes. Bill couldn't get close enough to her, so he picked her up, her feet were now several inches off the ground. Sofia hated being picked up, she hated being out of control, but him. She most certainly did not hate him. She felt him begin to pull away. Oh please don't stop! She thought.
"Sofia," he said. She hadn't realized but it was the first time he had said her name. She'd always loved her name, but he made it sound…almost unreal.
"Sofia, do you realize that we were snogging in the middle of the street?" Bill asked coyly.
"I love that word 'snogging'. And yes, I do now! Oh my God! How long have all these people been watching us?" Sofia asked while she covered her quickly reddening face.
"A while apparently, that wasn't exactly a peck," Bill said with obvious enjoyment.
"Say something to them! Quick!" he said as his face quickly blushed to clash horribly with his hair.
"Casamos el fin de semana pasada," Sofia said with a smile. "Estamos en vacaciones." She leaned over and gave Bill an apparently loving class. Bill smiled at his "wife" lovingly, which he noticed was a lot easier than expected.
"Aw, felicitaciones!" an old woman said. "Pero, ¿Van a su hotél, sí?"
"Gracias Señora. Nosotros vamos ahora. Come dear, why don't we let these nice people get back to their errands," Sofia said with a smile. They walked away and left the wizarding area of town.
"You did tell them we were married right?"
"Yeah how did you know?"
"The look on the others' faces," Bill responded. He'd always pride himself on being observant. He'd also noticed that the calm and, seemingly, collected girl he just had dinner with, the girl he saw in Diagon Alley, had been replaced by a girl who seemed rather fidgety. "You're different," he said matter of factly.
"You can tell huh?" Sofia said with a slight wince in her face.
"What's wrong?"
"Uh..you, um, kinda go my motor running."
Bill smiled. He had never heard it put like that before. And he had never heard a girl say anything like that EVER! Sofia looked at him with a face mixed with desire, embarrassment, and some other emotion he couldn't put his finger on. He laughed. She smiled and laughed too. Bill grabbed he hand and said, "C'mon lets get outta here."
Sofia did something she rarely did. She was a leader, not a follower. Although she had a feeling that if HE lead her off a cliff, she might just follow. Then they realized they weren't going to the flat, they were heading back to "La Calle".
"Where are we going?" she asked worriedly.
"I have to send an express owl to my sister," Bill said. "I hope you don't mind."
"You HAVE to send you sister an owl at this very instant? It can't wait?" Sofia questioned as her mood dropped.
"Well, see, when we saw each other in Diagon Alley, I guess, I was rather, well, stunned, and my sister, Ginny, noticed. She forced it out of me, and before I left she made me tell her like 3 more times. She was convinced it was a sign. So I have to owl her and tell her she was right. She'd be furious if I didn't tell her right away. I cannot handle her being mad at me. It is devastating. I hope that it's okay," Bill explained. Sofia was touched, touched deeply in fact. I was wrong he can get cuter!
"Are you and your sister close?" she asked.
"Very, she means the world to me."
"Awww, that is the sweetest thing I have ever heard!" Sofia said, as she watched Bill grimace. "What was that face for?" she asked incredulously.
"I don't know why I tell people that! They always have the same response 'Aww that's so sweet!' I hate that!" Bill responded.
"Go send that owl so we can continue what we started!" Sofia said as she pushed Bill towards the counter.
Bill wrote his letter, and sent it on his way. He returned to the smiling girl across the room, took her hand, and led her out of the shop.
