Chapter One ~ Bill
Bill Weasley was cherishing his precious week of vacation, at least until yesterday he was. Bill had been working a Charm-Breaker for Gringotts Bank for several years now. He liked his job, his friends, he even enjoyed working in Egypt. All of that as about to change - he was being transferred. "Well at least it is somewhere nice," Bill thought to himself, as he de-gnomed the Weasley family garden. Bill stood up straight to stretch his knees, and with the bright sun shining on his freckled face, and red hair, and said to himself,
"Malaga, Spain. Right on the Mediterranean. well at least I get to lay on the beach on my day off." With that rather enjoyable thought he went back to de-gnoming.
Later, Bill was examining his things. Gringotts had kindly sent them to the Burrow so he could buy what he needed for Spain. Namely, he needed some new robes, and decided he had better make a trip to Diagon Alley before he left, just in case there wasn't a decent robe shop in Malaga. He'd leave tomorrow, and thought he'd better see if his family needed anything, as well.
With the list from his mother in his pocket, Bill Apparated to Diagon Alley the next morning. He went early in hopes of avoiding the attention he usually got from the wizarding community. See, Bill didn't dress like a normal banker, or any former Head Boy of Hogwarts ever had, or probably since. Bill was tall, but muscular, and he had the same flaming red hair as the rest of his family. Though Bill's hair was slightly blonde, due to spending so much time in the hot Egyptian sun. He also wore his hair very long, long enough in fact he wore it in a ponytail. That wasn't the least of it, Bill had an earring. A long chain with a fang hanging from it that his mother hated. Bill clearly had the look of the rebel. He looked like the kind of guy that fathers fear, the kind of guy that makes them lock their daughters in their rooms. He only looked like he was a rebel. He was very smart and responsible to a fault. It was instantly obvious the moment he opened his mouth, or you looked into his brown eyes and saw the kindness residing within. Bill was the nicest, smartest, sweetest guy that you will ever have the pleasure to meet. It was this reputation that followed him around, and, well, he hated it. Why couldn't he be known as the fun guy, the jokster? He was elected Head Boy his final year at Hogwarts School, an honor for a great student who would set a good example for the rest of the school. Bill was the model student, and it wasn't a surprise when he was chosen Head Boy.
As Bill walked down Diagon Alley, the other wizards looked at him with some emotion he could never pin-point mixed with disdain. The young witches in Diagon Alley, however, looked on with nothing more than pure unadulterated interest in getting to know this handsome young man. Bill took no notice, as this was something he had become quite accustom to. Bill made his way to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. Something bright caught his eye. Hair. The most beautiful, amazing hair that he had ever seen. Blond curls, cascading down the back of the owner, punctuated with curls in bright pink, blue, and purple. Bill simply stood in awe. He was pretty sure that he looked like a complete git! As he stood there gaping like a complete fool, she turned and looked Bill right in the eyes. The brilliance of her eyes, was only matched by the brilliance of her perfect smile. Any Muggle dentist would have been proud. As she smiled as him, Bill was almost knocked over by a passing child. When he looked up she as talking to a friend. Bill saw she wasn't wearing traditional robes, at least not like any he had ever seen. She had on a black robe that was fitted to the waist with a v-shaped neckline, it swept down to her ankles. Under her robes there was a black miniskirt, worn with black knee-high boots. He could now see that her robes was lined in deep red fabric that shimmered. Bill had always been a leg man, and was completely stunned.
"Holy shit," he said to himself. When he finally pulled himself together and looked into those deep, amazing brown eyes, she winked at him and was gone. Lost to the masses of Diagon Alley. Bill finished his errands in a daze and Apparated back to the Burrow.
