"Do you think I like being evil?"

Draco Malfoy is standing trial before his peers, and the truth is now revealed - as is the facade. Acting can no longer save him, and so Draco finally opens his exterior to those who will judge him. But will they believe what they see and hear as the truth, or discard his life and efforts as just another lie?

In the aftermath of his trial, Draco contemplates a grim future - on the run from Death Eaters, and under surveillance. He discovers who was killed in the Death Eater raid, and deals with implications of the attack.

Draco returns, and there is a confrontation. All must now learn to live and work in harmony (or try, at least . . . ) for a short while. Something unexpected happens, and Draco and Harry have a late-night talk. (no slash, a little higher rating for language.)

Draco overhears a conversation, and suspicions are confirmed. Later, Ron confronts him - and a round of light verbal sparring ensues, when an unexpected and unwelcome letter arrives, bringing ill news and dreadful revelations. Draco's most important secret is about to be revealed . . .

Finally, some mysteries about Draco become clear: namely, how he managed to survive all those years without loosing himself to the evil he portrayed. In the aftermath of recieving the letter, more is revealed than he intends, especially when someone new arrives at the Burrow.

Time is a luxury - the time to build, the time to create, and the time to prepare. Do not waste it - and Draco knows this. But evil is never as inept, in real life, as we would want it to be. And so the perfect moment is planned, and the confrontation takes place when it is least expected.
