Chapter Two
As he was sitting and eating the start-of-year feast, Draco saw someone come in through the side door, and go to stand beside and a bit behind the Headmaster. He squinted to get a closer look.
"Liz, what are you doing up there?" he whispered.
"And seeing that you are fed and watered I would like to introduce you to the first transfer student Hogwarts has ever seen. May I introduce to you Lady Elizabeth Montgomery-Wall, daughter of Ambassador James Wall and his wife Duchess Margeret Montgomery, Lady Eliz.... Oh, you would rather me not? Liz is transferring from Lorien Academy of Magic and is in her seventh year, she will be joining the Gryffindors for the remainder of her time in school. Please treat her as if she had been here the entire seven years." Professor Dumbledore said. There was a good bit of applause for her as she walked down and sat next to Harry and started talking to him as if she'd known him for years. Ginny, who was Harry's girlfriend, was not looking very happy about this, Draco noticed, at Liz being so into him. After the feast Ron, Hermione, Harry, Ginny, Cho, Draco, and Liz met outside in the Great Hall.
"Hey, Liz," Draco said. "I didn't realize you were Duchess Monty's kid. Why didn't you tell us?"
"Mainly because people regard me as someone to fear, ever since I turned that rat into what he really is. A rat. I shouldn't have listened to Dad. I could have just let Cornelius stay that way, but Dad said the only place for me until I learned control was Lorien. And as you know only people who are really powerful but their powers kind of screwed go there, " Liz turn to Ginny and smiled.
"Could you take me to Gryffindor tower please? I'd like to go to bed. Night Draco." She smiled at him.
"Sweet Dreams," and she walked off with Ginny singing: "From the moment I wake to the moment I sleep I'll be there by your side, just you try and stop me, I'll always be waiting for you." Ron pointed at Draco and started laughing his head off. *Oh, Bugger,* Draco thought. *Now they'll never leave me alone, after that.*
"Looks like you've got ht makings of a girlfriend, mate," Harry said in between laughs.
"One that could kick your ass, yeah, but at least she's a girl not a troll like your last!"
"Yeah, yeah, mates. I'm off. Got to crash before classes start tomorrow. See you."
"Bye, Draco," they chorused.

The next morning he plopped down at the Gryffindor table and grabbed a piece of toast.
"Hey, dude, what's hangin' which your bad self?" said a voice. He nearly spit out all the toast he'd crammed in his mouth. He most certainly started coughing. Someone started whacking him on the back. He looked up and saw Liz.
"Are you all right, Draco?" she said worriedly.
"Yes. Yes I'm all right."
"Are you sure? Because I can take you to Hospital wing if you need me to," she said in the same tone.
"Yeah, I'm sure. Can you pass the coffee? I need to wake up."
"Cream? Sugar? Ice?" she asked.
"All of 'em. And could you give me the kippers, muffins, bacon, pancakes, biscuits, scrambled eggs, and milk, please?"
"Will do," Liz said, handing him the requested items.
"What's your schedule? I have Potions first. Do you know the Potions master? I hear that he's a slimy git," she asked conversationally.
"Same as yours, me too, yes, and he's right behind you. And no one should be this cheerful in the morning," he mumbled. Liz jumped, looking behind her to see the man she had insulted not three minutes ago.
"So, Miss- Wall, is it?" Snape sneered as she nodded.
"Well, Miss Wall from who did you hear that I was a, a, a slimy git? No doubt it was Potter and Weasley spreading the tale."
"Professor," Liz said. "I'm new here, I haven't learned all the names yet. It might have been, or it might've not been, I don't know." The look on her face was of absolute innocence. Draco looked at it, and started laughing so hard after Snape left, he almost spilled his coffee. Hermione came over and smiled brightly.
"What's so funny Dra?"
He replied in between laughs.
"Liz. She totally fooled Snape into what she wanted him to believe. No one has ever done that." Hermione's face went to interested to scorn, to disgust, to extreme dislike and disinterest.
"Morning 'Mione, Draco, Gin...Wha? Draco what're you doing at our table?" Harry said startled and confused. He looked around and saw Liz, looked thoughtful then grinned knowingly. "Ah, I see. You came for the scenery" and ducked as Ginny and Liz threw pieces of toast at him. "Hey, hey, hey! I'm just pointing out a guy's opinion. Not that it's true or anything." he added hurriedly seeing their expressions. "But it might be." he whispered to the sympathetic Ron.
"Harry, mate, you're digging yourself a deeper hole. If you don't watch it, then you might end up in the cold for a month. Happened to me. Cho asks me, out of the blue mind you, if I thought that Fleur Delacour was hot, I said a wee bit, and I get the cold shoulder, or should I say cold-"
"RON!" They all shouted, loudest of all was Ginny.
"We don't want to know what happens between you and Cho! Bloody hell, can't you not talk about something for once?" Ginny said, her face bright red from anger and embarrassment.
Liz looked around after this outburst, craning her neck above the two bright red Weasleys, spotted something, or, rather someone and said:
"Bloody buggerin' 'ell. What in the name of the Good Lord Almighty is she doing here? I told her to stay in Fairview while I'm away." Her accent had become so thick they almost didn't understand it. They looked in the direction she was. They saw a small person- No, it wasn't a person it was a leprechaun. At about three feet tall with brighter red hair than the Weasley's this little lass was most defiantly a leprechaun. "I'll deal with this," Liz growled, got up and started toward the leprechaun. She was too late, however. Professor Dumbledore got her before Liz did.
"Excuse me little, miss, but why are you here," he inquired of the leprechaun. It wasted no time in replying.
"I'm here to find my mistress," she said haughtily, for there was no mistake that it was a she. "Her mother told me that I should remain with her always and whenever I'm away from her she always gets into mischief. Like transferring to this, this, school," she spat the word out like it was poison. "She should have stayed with me and my kin, in the Lorien. At least there we would be sure that she was safe."
"Eilena, you forget yourself," Liz said, standing two tables and a chair away. "You know that I wasn't completely safe at the Academy. After all, Gavin was there. And I had to transfer here. Father made me. You should also understand that I know who told Father that I should since Gavin was a 'bad influence for me' and would 'get me into trouble' and 'bad situations'." She turned to the Headmaster and bowed. "Professor, I truly apologize for this rude interruption from my family retainer."
"While I accept you apology, Miss Wall, I would also like to know how a leprechaun from a noble family came to serve you, a human," Dumbledore said to her, his air was not of anger, but it was questioning.
"Sir, I would like to explain it to you, just not in front of everyone. If I and the prefects from each House could accompany you to your office?" she asked trailing off. Draco got up and signaled Pansy, his Prefect counterpart. Though he despised her, he had to admire her determination to make him hers.
Author notes: Well, there it is. Like I said before, chapter four's gonna take a while to be up, it's still being edited. Ugh, I know. Thanks to Alicia, Ellie, FictionAlley, and the band Skillet, and another band Nickelback, who I listen to whilst I write.
