Fair and Tender Maidens

Hermione wants to enter a vocal contest, but can only do so if one boy agrees to sing with her. And only one boy will. Hermione has to get through rehearsals and teaching this guy the basics of singing. He doesn't understand most of it. Can they perfect the song and make it to the finals? If they can do that, can they do the dance required in the finals?

Hermione and Draco are singing in a vocal contest. Can they learn to like each other? Can they learn to fall in love? Introducing: Ginny and her obsession with a certain boy, who happens to have an obsession with a certain girl.

Hermione and Draco practice and actually SING this chapter! Yay! Harry makes another appearance. He makes his love known! On accident of course..I believe the one he loves is still oblivious...

Hermione and Draco have decided to enter a music contest. Can they pull it off without falling in love? *This chapter is a little different from most. It's in owls between the different characters. Pansy, Blaise, Ginny, her friend, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Draco. Sorry for the change.

“No. Absolutely NOT,” Draco said, shaking his head for emphasis.“Come on, Draco. You sing beautifully,” Blaise said, using some of the Zabini charm, which was noted for never having the desired effect. In fact, it usually worked opposite of the way it was supposed to. Except, this time, it worked. “Really?” he said. He glanced at Granger. He’d show her.... “I’ll do it.” He stood up.

And the rehearsals continue. Except, this time, things don't go as smoothly as they should've. Draco and Hermione have a fight. Neville is introduced to the story. Ginny graces us with her presence. And, Harry loses a friend.

Draco lived his life in confusion. In his younger years things were more definite, yet still confusing. But, never like this. He despised Granger, yes. Loathed, really. But, he couldn’t get their fight out of his head. He went over it a hundred times, trying to figure out where he went wrong.

He continued to watch her as she downed French toast, an apple, and three slices of toast. But soon his chance to watch her without anyone noticing was coming to an end. Potter was escorting her to her next class. He might as well wear a sign, Draco thought moodily. It’s obvious enough.

The preparations for the contest begin!

Hermione sings her song. Two men swoon. 'There was polite applause and she heard someone (most likely Ron) shout, "GO HERMIONE! ROCK THE SOCKS!" She grinned; Ron would never truly understand Muggle terminology. '
