"Hermione! My office...now!"

Hermione Granger's head shot up, sending paper-work flying, and she turned towards the voice. She saw her boss' head sticking out of a doorway and sighed. "Look, Mack...if I'm going to finish this by the deadline, I can't have any interruptions."

Mack snorted. "Babe...the only thing you're doing is wrinkling that pretty skirt of yours. I've got a bigger scoop. The big cheese of the 'Prophet' wants you to go undercover."

Hermione's eyes widened and she stood up, smoothing her skirt as she did so. "What?! Really?!" She walked past cubicles and into the office, shutting the door behind her. "He wants me to go undercover?"

Mack nodded. "He wanted someone young and hip for the assignment."

Hermione cocked an eyebrow. "Mack...I'm 23. I don't think I'm that young and 'hip'."

"Maggie acts as if you're her big sister," he fired back, referring to his teenage daughter.

Hermione sighed. "Fine...what's the assignment?"

He grinned. "Teenage Muggles."

Hermione looked at herself in the mirror. "Damn you, Mack," she mumbled. The assignment wasn't exactly what she had hoped for, but it entitled to a new wardrobe(payed for by the company) and a hair-cut. Gone were the knee-length skirts and loose jeans. In their place were mini-skirts and skin-tight jeans. "Well...," she started, "time to meet my doom."

"Name?"

Hermione looked up and found she was next in line. "Uhh...Mia Graves," she said and handed the secretary the transcripts that Mack had made up.

She looked them over and handed Hermione a schedule. "Everything seems to be in order. Welcome to Memorial High School, Miss Graves."

She nodded to the American woman. 'Remind me to severely beat Mack for sending me across the sea,' she told herself, referring to the fact that she was in the United States. "Thank you," Hermione said and walked out of the office. 'Room 410...I wonder where that is,' she thought to herself, as she attempted to find her first class. She looked up and found herself outside the room she had been searching for. "Oh...it's right here," she mumbled and opened the door.

A few people looked up, but only one girl took notice. "Hi! Are you a new student?"

Hermione walked through the door and over to the girl. "Uhh...hi. I'm a transfer."

The girl's eyes widened. "Are you from England? I just love your accent!"

Hermione stepped back a little. "Uhh...yeah. I'm from London."

The girl nodded. "My name's Grace Mammoth."

Hermione decided the girl was trustworthy and sat in the seat next to her, her back to the door. "I'm Mia Graves. " She turned and looked at the clock, only to find out that class should've started already. "Is the teacher normally late?"

Grace shook her head. "No...but she's on maternity leave." Grace suddenly got a dreamy look on her face. "You came at a good time. Our sub is drop-dead gorgeous. He's from London too."

Hermione looked interested. "Really? I wonder if I know him."

Graces response was cut off by the door slamming open. "Sorry I'm late, kids. Ran into some traffic."

Hermione's eyes widened. 'I know that voice.' she slowly turned around and nearly fell out of her seat.

Standing at the front of the room, preparing his materials and brushing his pale hair out of his face, was the one person she never expected to see there: Draco Malfoy.

The words slipped out of her mouth before she could stop them. "Holly shit."
