From First to Last

Lily and James Potter use their first bit of magic. We witness Lily as she befriends Severus Snape and watch as James Potter acquires his fetish with flying brooms. When their respective eleventh birthdays arrive, each of them receive a letter from the Wizarding school, Hogwarts, where they will be spending a majority of the next seven years...

James and Lily experience the beginning of their first year at Hogwarts, forming their respective groups of friends. James and his friends get into their usual mischief and Lily attempts to protect her best friend, Severus, from who she believes are the two bullies of their year.

James, Sirius, Remus and Peter discover a new game in which one would attempt to touch the trunk of of the Whomping Willow. Afterward, they get into their usual mischief when they attempt to break into Filch's special drawer. In the meantime, Lily and her friends are preoccupied with the end of the year exams. After the summer break, second year begins and a more confident Severus Snape emerges...

James, Sirius and Peter begin to notice Remus' periodic disappearances every month and investigation follows. Important decisions are made via owl.

An excited James tries out for the Quidditch team and finds himself Gryffindor's newest Chaser. Meanwhile, Lily realises that blood status meant more than she originally believed in Hogwarts.
