"Hey, Moony, you ready?"

I looked up from the list I made for the trip. "Yeah, don't think I missed anything." This trip is going to take some time. I mean, NORTH-FUCKING-AMERICA ALL SUMMER? Come on! Who would throw away a whole vacation away just like that? Especially the summer before the start of our NEWT years! I know who...

"Aw, c'mon, Moony! It'll be fun!"

I tried to argue with Sirius...

"Um, Padfoot? Don't you think it might be better if we just stay here in Europe? I mean, it's the whole summer we're talking about"

Sirius tossed back his hair and looked at me, amused excitement in his eyes, and replied: "Relax, Moon. Europe is for this Christmas break. Besides, have you looked at the catalogues of those hotels down in the Caribbean? Here you go. See?"

I did my best, but Sirius can be very persuasive when he wants to.

And now I'm here, with a backpack containing my essentials, ready to leave in the next train bound for Newfoundland. I heard Muggles don't have trains capable of moving in water yet. Too bad for them, I guess.

"ALL ABOARD FOR THE NEWFIE EXPRESS! ALL ABOARD FOR THE NEWFIE EXPRESS!"

"That's our train, there, isn't it?"

James rolled his eyes and said: "Nooo, Wormtail. Ours leaves for Queen's Anus in three hours."

"Oh.", Peter replied. Then, he added: "I could've sworn we were taking the Newfoundland Express, though"

The three of us groaned at Peter's apparent lack of brains. Pete's a good boy, and he gives sensible advice every now and then, but apparently he missed out when they were serving intelligence. "Don't mind Prongs, Pete. Let's go before we miss the train."

"Hey, Moony!"

"Yes, Padfoot?"

"Since we're already getting on the train, don't you think that the trip has officially started?"

I stared at him, and then slapped my palm against my forehead. Of course! The trip record! I'm supposed to keep a diary of our activities, to add to the Marauder Treasure. But, first things first.

When we arrived to our assigned compartment, we found that a couple of girls were already sitting there. One of them, a long-haired brunette, gave us a mocking smile and asked: "May I help you?"

Sirius, apparently, had a suggestion: "Sure. You can start by leaving our compartment and heading back to yours."

The brunette's nostrils flared. "Excuse me, this is our compartment. Maybe YOU should head for your own compartment."

Sirius raised an eyebrow. "This is our compartment. We booked it."

"Well, these were the seats we were fucking assigned to, you ass-"

James put himself between his best friend and the foul-mouthed belle. After dramatically clearing his throat, he said: "Hey, hey, hey! Relax, ladies, our friend Sirius here is just a little, ah, wild. Don't pay attention to him."

I stared at him. James is not the type of person to downplay his friends like that, except...

"Oh very well" Sirius replied, sighing with a reluctance I suspect he did not feel, "I guess we can share the compartment."

"See, Padfoot? Now that wasn't hard, was it?"

"Guess I can get used to it, Prongs. Let's just take a seat, shall we?"

"Sounds good to me." James sat beside the blonde, which had kept quiet until now. He threw her one of his 'charming' smiles, making the girl blush like a tomato.

With a sigh, I took out the Official Marauder Parchment and a quill, and started scribbling away. I wonder how long it will take this time for the good guy/bad guy trick those two have to work. Whatever time it takes, they'll have a bad time after they find out Peter had forgotten their contraceptive potions.

In short, this will be an interesting trip...
