Later that evening Giovanna had grown accustom of Malfoy's rudeness. Even though she thought she was in a bad mood, she knew that he was really talking about himself He hadn't said one good thing to her all night. Knowing that he wouldn't care, Giovanna got up and left the common room.

Behind her back, she heard him snarl. "Where are you going?" He sounded so demanding as though her leaving was being selfish. It was as thought she was merely there to entertain him. She briefly turned back to him just to see the expression on his face. He wasn't concerned or curious about where she was going. The all powerful Malfoy just needed to know everything.

He was just demanding to have her control. He was her master and she was the dog.

"No," she said simply but firmly. She would not resort to his control. She turned on her heel and entered the girls' dormitory.

So this is where I sleep, she thought. She really just wanted to find somewhere else to be, somewhere away from Malfoy.

Giovanna walked over to the nearest bed and noticed that her belongings were in a neat pile at the edge of the bed.

"That's convenient," she said aloud. She didn't care if she wasn't talking to anyone. No one would hear.

Giovanna plopped herself onto her bed, laying down and looking up at the ceiling. She sighed, thinking of Malfoy. Wait, why was she thinking of him when she was finally rid of him? She smacked her forehead with her hand and cursed herself for thinking of him. He's nothing, she told herself before instantly falling asleep.

She was standing in a room full of mirrors. Turning around, all she could see was herself, and a figure behind her. Who was it? She tried to turn around to see him but couldn't. Yet, he was still standing behind her in the mirror. May be he's in front of me, then, she thought. It seemed logical to her, at least.

Just as she started to turn the other way to see who was in front of her, the figure in the mirror disappeared and she woke up.

"Damn him and his blonde hair!" she yelled at the morning. She never understood what she said nd never remembered the dream.

For the next couple of days, Giovanna wandered the castle, discovering new passageways and secret rooms. She even managed to find the Great Hall in less than five minutes. Giovanna also took her time to fly on her broom at the Quidditch Pitch. She thought that she saw Malfoy a couple of times, but just ignored him. She didn't want to have anything to do with him. She was far better off not knowing him at all.

On the last night of summer holidays, Giovanna was reading in the common room. She was sitting on the chair closest to the stairs and was enjoying some peace and quiet. Of course, all good things always come to an end. Malfoy strutted in to the room, ending the silence.

"What cha doing, Nero?" he asked, leaning over Giovanna's shoulder.

Giovanna closed her book and sighed, looking up at him. She said nothing, but he didn't wait for a reply anyway.

"You don't need to do that!" he exclaimed, snatching the book away from her. He opened it up, letting it fall open to the right page. He handed her the book and she took it, perplexed.

"Thank you..." she managed to say.

Malfoy walked around the chair so he that he was in front of her.

She wasn't sure what he'd do next. She wouldn't be surprised if he sprouted elephant ears right on the spot. He was sure acting oddly. Even though she'd only known him a couple of weeks, she felt like she knew him somehow. She knew his limits, his short temper, and his arrogance. Malfoy just started at her, smiling.

"What is it?" she couldn't help but let out a laugh.

"You're so..." he began, "beautiful."

He got up and crossed the room. He left the common room and wandered into the night leaving Giovanna speechless.

Sorry that this chapter is so short. I just really wanted to get it up. The next one will be longer, hopefully and much better. Remember to review!
