How Wrong Were They

            Chapter 4:Heather, What's Going On?

    "Sirius, can I talk to you alone?" Remus asked Sirius.

    "Sure," he replied. "Lily, I'll be right back," Sirius added to Lily.

    "OK, I'll be waiting for you," she told him.

    Remus led Sirius over to a table away from all the noise.

    "What's up?" Sirius asked.

    "Sirius, you have to dump Lily!" Remus exclaimed.

    "What?" Sirius said shocked.

    "Chloe, Heather, and I are trying to get Lily and James together. You're in the way. Haven't you realized that Lily and James are in love, they just won't admit it," Remus told him.

    "I knew you three were up to something! Yes, I know they're in love. Remus, you know that Lily is one of the prettiest and coolest girls in school. If you were given the chance, wouldn't you ask her out?" Sirius replied.

    "No, actually, I wouldn't," Remus told his friend. "I have a thing for Chloe."

    "Really, dude?! I could get you a hook up," Sirius said.

    "You could?" Remus asked.

    "Yeah, if you could hook me up with Heather after I break up with Lily," Sirius said.

    "Deal," Remus repied, and they shook hands. "So, you're going to break up with her?"

    "Yeah. I'll suggest we walk around the lake, and I'll break it to her," Sirius said. ***

    "Lily, you and me isn't going to work out," Sirius told Lily as they walked around the lake hand-in-hand.

    "What do you mean?" Lily asked.

    "Well, you belong with someone else, and it's not me," Sirius explained.

    "OK, Sirius. Can we still be friends?" Lily replied.

    "Sure. I'd like that," Sirius said letting go of her hand. *** Meanwhile, in the Gryffindor Common Room...

    "Sirius is breaking up with her now," Remus said when Heather and Chloe asked him how his talk with Sirius went.

    "Really?" they both asked at the same time.

    "Yeah, he likes someone else," Remus told them looking at Heather.

    "Who?" Chloe asked eagerly.

    "Heather," Remus said simply.

    "Me?" Heather shreiked.

    "Yeah, he wants to know if you'd go out with him now that he and Lily have broken up," Remus said.

    "I'd love to! But do you think Lily will mind?" Heather exclaimed.

    "Of corse she won't mind! She has James!" Chloe told her friend.

    "That's true. So, are we all set for tomorrow?" Heather asked.

    "Yep," Chloe and Remus said at the same time. ***

    "James, uh...we have to go to the library," Remus said when they were in the middle of breakfast.

    "Why?" James asked.

    "Because, you know, we have to finish that essay," Remus explained.

    "Oh, yeah! I almost forgot," James said.

    "Well, come on," Remus said and pulled James out of the Great Hall. He[Remus] made sure to get James' wand. When they got out of the Great Hall, Remus dragged James over to the broom closet, shoved him in, and locked it from the outside. *** Meanwhile, in the Great Hall...

    "Lily, we should be heading to the library, too," Heather said getting up.

    "I guess, but we finished all of our homework," Lily told her.

    "Oh, yeah, but let's go to the library anyway!" Heather exclaimed.

    "Heather, what's going on? You never want to go to the library!" Lily asked.

    "Well, uh...there's this book I have to check out, and I need you to help me find it," Heather explained.

    "Oh! In that case, let's go," Lily said standing up, too. Heather pulled Lily out of the Great Hall(Heather managing to get Lily's wand), when they got to the Entrance Hall, and Heather pushed Lily into the broom closet. *** In the broom closet...

    "Lily, is that you?!" James asked when the broom closet door opened and someone was pushed in.

    "James?! Yeah, it's me. Do you know what's going on? Heather pushed me in here" Lily exclaimed.

    "Remus pushed me in. Uh oh! Do you know what they're doing?" James asked.

    "Yeah," Lily said.

    "They're setting us up," they said together.

    "Well, Lily, there's been something I've been meaning to tell you," James said wringing his hands.

    "What?" Lily asked curiously.

    "Well...I-I've k-k-kinda been i-in l-l-love w-with y-you for four years! There I got it out of my system. Now, I know what you're going to say. You don..." James said, but was silenced when Lily put her finger to his mouth.

    "James, I know exactly how you feel! I've loved you for four years, too," Lily told him.

    "Really?" James asked. Lily nodded, and she leaned in, and kissed him. It was a kiss that neither of them had ever had.     

    'Man, I always knew Lily was a good kisser!' James thought.

    'Let's see what James can do?' Lily thought, and she added some tongue.

    'Oh! So she wants to spice it up?' James thought as he slid his hands up her shirt.

    "James! That's too far, you're not going to get me in bed until we're married," Lily told him breaking the kiss.

    "So, you think we're going to get married?" James asked.

    "Yes, there was something in that kiss. I can just feel it," Lily said. Just then the door opened, and there stood Remus, Heather, and Chloe. ~*~ A/N Find out what happens in the next chapter: Remus, Thank You!
