Love's Battle Revisited

It is now ten years after their flight from England. A now-married, albeit estranged, Harry and Hermione return there from America, where they have been living, with their two daughters, twins Lily and Helen, named for their mothers. They have heard from McGonagall, who has offered them teaching positions at Hogwarts. However, they cannot be sure just what kind of reception they're likely to get from those they left behind, mainly because of the way they left.

Ginny reports Harry and Hermione's return to the

After his talk with Draco, Harry goes to see Ginny and has a talk with her...but it doesn't end well. Hermione also makes an attempt to speak with her and it goes a little better; the women manage to come to an armed truce.

Harry goes to see Remus and gets a nasty surprise. In the end, he returns to Hogwarts to see if McGonagall and Dumbledore's portrait can advise him as to what to do (or NOT do) next.

Harry finally manages to meet with Hermione and they work things out in regards to their marriage and children, with McGonagall and Dumbledore's portrait acting as mediators.

Harry meets with Ginny again and begins to tentatively court her again, as well as ask her to help him reconcile with Molly.

Harry and Ginny are officially back together...and they make up for lost time with a vengeance.

What happens in Harry's life on a given day roughly a month after his reunion with Ginny.

Ron discovers Harry and Hermione's return upon noticing that the Disguising Charms used on the girls wearing off, and reacts predictably. In the end, Luna finds it necessary to call on Harry (not to mention Fred and George) to help her.

Ginny meets Harry's daughters with Hermione and in the course of the evening, they get to know each other after she explains she's there to help him feel better about leaving them.

When Ginny returns home, she has a talk with her own daughter by Harry and the child makes a startling confession...which prompts Ginny to have a talk with Harry the following day and eventually leads to father and daughter meeting for the first time.

Harry and Ginny go see Ron at the Rehab Clinic. The two estranged friends reconcile while there and to top it off, Luna makes a very happy announcement.

New lives begin for everybody, including Hermione, who has renewed her involvement with Viktor Krum. Ginny is pregnant again, and Pansy, Tonks and Luna all have their babies within a few months of each other.

Two years have passed. The older children, Harry's three daughters and Ginny's two sons, are beginning their academic careers at Hogwarts...among other things.
