Thanks so much to CassBlake for giving me the idea for Draco's song, and then giving me the lyrics! Thanks also to KaraG, who gave them to me right after CassBlake did. And I got so many reviews! Thanks!

"Professor, I really need to get back to the contest," Hermione explained. "Harry's counting on us to see his performance, and I don't want to miss it..."

"Ms. Granger, once you stop, we can talk about you taking more advanced classes," McGonagall replied.

"Oh, erm...sorry," Hermione said sheepishly. "Please continue."

"As I was saying," Minerva continued, "I feel you should take more advanced classes. Such as taking classes with students a year older than you."

"Well," Hermione said. "That would be nice, but...I'll have to think about it."

"Take you time," McGonagall smiled thinly. "You may go. I wish to watch Harry as well. As I said when I called you and Mr. Weasley here earlier today, I think he's a little...wrong in the head right now."

And they walked to the Great Hall and entered.

McGonagall sat down with the other teachers, while Hermione scooched her way down the row towards Ron.

"What was all that about?"

"Nothing," Hermione said to him.

"Well, you didn't miss anything yet."

"Shh, it's starting."

"Well, excuse me."

Dumbledore came back onstage. "First to perform is...Pansy Parkinson, performing 'Oops, I Did It Again', by Britney Spears!"

The curtains behind Dumbledore parted, and backed off the stage.

In the middle stood Pansy, hair colored blonde and in a ponytail, dressed in a tight red jumpsuit. Hermione giggled.

The music began, and Pansy, smiled, headset on her head.

"Yeah yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah

Yeah yeah yeah

I think I did it again

I made you believe

We're more than just friends

Oh baby

It must seem like a crush

But it doesn't mean

That I'm serious

'cause to lose

All my senses

That is just so typically me

Oh baby, baby..."

"She looks ridiculous," Hermione whispered. Pansy was dancing like she had a professional choreographer help her. But she was so close to the Malfoys, she probably did.

The part Hermione had been waiting for had come. She used to like Britney, after all.

Much to the crowd's surprise, Draco Malfoy hopped onto the stage.

"Britney, before you go, there's something I want you to have," Draco whispered into another headset.

"Oh, it's beautiful. But wait a minute, isn't this...?"

"Yeah, yeah it is."

"But I thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end."

"Well baby, I went down and got it for you."

"Awww, you shouldn't have."

Malfoy hopped off the stage, grinning maliciously at Harry, sitting right in front of the stage with the other contestants.

Harry was really nervous now.

"Oops-I did it again to your heart

Got lost in the game

Oh baby

Oops-you think that I'm sent from abo-o-ove

I'm not that...innocent."

Pansy finished with a bang. Dumbledore had found a microphone and gave it to Lee Jordan to announce things.

"Whoa, and...that was Pansy Parkinson.

Pansy turned her pug-face towards the judges.

Pansy's Slytherin friends cheered at Snape. He smiled grimly.

"And, out of 50 points, Pansy Parkinson scored 39," Lee announced. Next up, Draco Malfoy, singing 'I Will Always Love You', originally by Dolly Parton." Lee stifled a snigger.

Pansy reluctantly got off the stage and took Draco's place in front of the stage.

Malfoy had a silver suit on, matching his cold grey eyes and sliver-blonde hair.

He steeped in front of the microphone in the stand someone had placed on the stage.

"If I should stay

I would only be in your way

So I'll go

But I know

I'll think of you

Every step of the way."

Hermione giggled again. In fact, she couldn't stop. Someone shushed her from behind.

"And I will always love you

I will always love you

You, my darling, you, mmm...

Bittersweet memories

This is all I'm taking with me

So goodbye, please don't cry

We both know I'm not what you

You need.

And I will always love you

I will always love you."

Hermione, as well as Ron (staring speechless) and the rest of the crowd, had noticed that Malfoy's eyes were staring right into Pansy's, full of emotion, and...were those tears??

"I hope life

Treats you kind

And I hope you have

All you dreamed of

And I wish you

Joy

And happiness

But above all this, I wish you love.

And I will always love you

I will always love you

I, I will always love you.

You, darling, I love you.

I'll always, I'll always love you."

He surprised everyone by beginning to cry a little, and repeating that last line.

"I'll always, I'll always love you."

The audience clapped like mad. Even Hermione was sniffling, smiling through tears, and clapping madly. Ron was awestruck. "Whoa," was all he could say. "Was that...Draco Malfoy?"

Pansy was crying and smiling at the same time.

"Lee stared at Malfoy, bug-eyed. "That was...Draco Malfoy singing... 'I Will Always Love You'. A great performance to...to remember.

Harry knew he wouldn't win. What was that crap Malfoy pulled? It was actually emotional. It was...it was good.

"And now for the scores,' Lee announced into the silent crowd.

Everyone booed at Trelawney. She was gazing into space; she hadn't even paid attention!

"Whoa, no offense, but Professor Trelawney...anyway, Draco malfoy is is first place so far, with 46 points," Lee said. "Next up, Harry Potter, singing 'Without Me' by Eminem. But first, a short break."

Hagrid appeared behind Hermione and Ron. Forge' about our meetin'?" he asked, smiling.

Hermione looked at her watch. It said 4:57. "Oh, sorry Hagrid! But we kind of have to stay..."

"But thi' is much more importan'," he said. "Follow me..."

Hermione sighed very audibly, and Ron grunted as he got up from his seat. "Ok, let's hurry so we don't miss Harry's performance."

They followed Hagrid outside and down towards his house.

They went inside and sat down. "Hagrid..." Hermione whispered.

"Ok, ok, I'll hurry," he said. "Now, I have an idea fo' a present fo' Harry...I bin makin' a little somethin'..."

"Hagrid, can we talk later?" Hermione pleaded. Ron looked up at him with pleading puppy-dog eyes.

"Oh, go on," Hagrid said.

"Thanks," they said in unison, and they were gone.

***

By the time they had sprinted back to the castle and the contest, the crowd was cheering and Harry was on the stage, bowing towards the audience.

"Oh, shit," Hermione whispered.

Ron gasped.

"Oh, I'm sorry," she said, "I wasn't thinking. I can't believe that came out..."

They rushed back to their seats as Lee said the scores:

"Wow," Lee said. "And Harry Potter is tied with Draco Malfoy for first place, with 46 points."
