Harry's Murder

Hermione Sweetheart

Story Summary:
This is the story of Harry's murder. Yes. Harry Potter was murdered. No one knows who did it, but there are many suspects. Much like the board game Clue, this is a fic of mystery.

Author's Note:
I would like to thank JK Rowling, for thinking up Harry Potter in the first place. You are the best author ever! Also, I would like to thank whoever made up the board game Clue, because that's what gave me the idea for this story.

Harry heard a noise by his bedroom. He was about to jerk upward, but caught himself and instead lay still.

Someone was awake in this room. He silently looked at his watch lying on his nightstand. It said 1:37 AM. One-thirty in the morning. Who was up at this hour?

He saw someone (or something, he thought nervously) dart into darker shadows near his bed.

He peered into the shadows, but saw no one.

He must be hallucinating-yes, that must be it. He had taken too many of those god damn cold pills.

He was falling back into his drowsy sleep.

A few seconds later, he was out cold, so taken over by sleep. He had stayed up for hours earlier, finishing Snape's essay on Vision-Improving Potions.

A mysterious figure rose over his bed, dagger in hand.

Harry Potter was found dead hours later.

***

The sound of weeping could be heard. It was the early morning hours of February 22, a clear, sunny day.

Outside of Hogwarts, it was sunny, bright, and cheerful.

Inside it was just the opposite.

Hermione wept over Harry's body.

He had been the perfect boy for her. They had gone out for years, and had planned to get married after they left school.

But he was dead.

Ron attempted to comfort her, but her sobs could not be muffled, her steady flow of tears could not be stemmed.

Hermione cried her eyes out; soaking both her robes and the pajamas Harry had been wearing.

Inspectors from the Ministry had been inspecting the crime scene. They had made a list of suspects.

The person who had murdered Harry Potter would be thrown into Azkaban forever and kept in the Cell.

The Cell was the worst, most torturous cell in all of Azkaban.

It was filthy.

It was dim, with no windows.

It was built with dirt walls, a dirt ceiling, and a dusty dirt floor.

But, worst of all, three dementors lived inside of it.

***

Harry Potter's body had been examined. A dagger through the heart had killed him.

The dagger was found in the dormitory, but had no fingerprints whatsoever.

Mysterious.

All the suspects had been written on a list:

Draco Malfoy

Lord Voldemort

Neville Longbottom

Seamus Finnigan

Dean Thomas

Ronald Weasley

But worst of all was the last suspect:

Hermione Granger

It seemed as though Lord Voldemort must have been responsible, but the other suspects consisted of his roommates, friends, enemies, and his girlfriend. Hermione was on the list only because she was close to Harry Potter.

All of the suspects, excepting Lord Voldemort (he was far too dangerous), were to report to the Ministry of Magic's Wizengamot for a trial. They were all to be questioned, and to give their whereabouts on the night Harry Potter was killed.

The Inspectioners were extremely interested in suspect number six on their list, Ron Weasley.

Weasley had been acting very suspicious during the inspection of the crime scene.

He, in truth, did not seem nearly sad enough about his best friend's murder.

Not nearly sad enough.

Author notes: Strange, huh? Ron does not seem too upset...please review and tell me who you think murdered Harry Potter. Thank you.
