CHAPTER 4 - THE VISITOR

"Don't scream, okay?" asked the stranger.

Harry nodded and made a muffled sound that sounded like "ah hum!" He then turned around to see who it was.

"What was that for, Sirius?" he asked in relief it was only him.

"I thought that you were going to yell my name right out loud in public, broad daylight!" Sirius exclaimed.

"Oh, yeah. Woops! I guess I was going to..." trailed off Harry with a guilty look on his face.

"Go get Ron, so I can tell you both why I'm here, okay?" asked Sirius seriously.

"Okay," replied Harry as he walked into the screaming room with his hands over his ears.

"Ron!!! I need to talk to you!" he screamed.

"Okay," Ron said, "What is it?"

"Don't scream. Okay?"

"Okay, what is it?"

"Sirius is here."

"Really?"

"Not so loud."

"Hi Ron. Hi Harry," said Sirius.

"What are you doing here? What if someone sees you?" asked Ron in a panic pulling him into the kitchen, "sit here."

"I just have to tell you something. It couldn't wait for the fireplace in Hogwarts or an owl. I had to tell you in person," said Sirius quickly and looking around to see if anyone was watching him.

"I'm gonna stay at Hogwarts for this year," he said.

"What?" Harry and Ron screeched.

"Ow! Not so loud!" said Sirius.

"How?" asked Harry.

"Well, I have a plan. Would it be alright if I could be your pet dog?" he asked.

"Sure! That would be great!" said Harry in excitement.

"You know that we aren't allowed to have dogs, Harry! Only an owl, a cat or a toad, remember?" said Ron.

"Oh, yeah," said Harry in disappointment.

"Oh, I got that all fixed with Professor Dumbledore," said Sirius, "He's gonna fix all of the letters. 'All students may bring if they desire a dog, owl, cat or toad.' He will have to go to a couple of meetings with the ministry, though. But I expect him to get through; he usually does. Cleaver, don't you think?"

"Yeah, but why do you need to come to Hogwarts this year?" asked Harry.

"It's for your protection, Harry. I have a feeling, since that Voldemort is back in full power, that you might need it!" said Sirius.

" Ron, maybe that's what my dream meant!" exclaimed Harry.

"What dream?" asked Sirius.

Harry quickly told Sirius about his dream because the screaming and yelling of excitement of the Weasley family in the next room seemed to have gotten quieter.

"I think that dream might have been for a reason. I suppose you should be very careful this year. Pay attention to your studies. They might be useful. May be you should ask your friend, Hermione is it, for some help. Not that I'm saying that you need help, Harry. You too Ron. You're gonna need as much help as you can get," Sirius said quietly.

"Okay, but you're gonna have to get going soon," said Harry.

"Okay. I better go now. See you after the feast. I'll get there safely with a bit of Professor Dumbledore's help," Sirius said.

"Bye," said Ron and Harry.

"Bye," replied Sirius with a smile, "See ya."
