CHAPTER 3 - MR. WEASLEY'S SURPRISE

"Come in here, everyone!" yelled Mr. Weasley grabbing a piece of parchment off his table in the sitting room.

"I hope that it's the surprise!" yelled Ginny excitedly.

"So do I," said Harry.

"Everyone just crowd around here," said Mr. Weasley.

"What is it?" asked Fred.

"What is it?" asked George.

"Hold on, hold on!" Mr. Weasley said holding the parchment high so as it not to get ripped open by the excited kids.

The parchment looked as if it had been kept safe for months. In fact, Mr. Weasley did keep it in his secret drawer for about 2 months, waiting for the right time to give the announcement to his family (preferably when they had to go to Diagon Alley for school supplies,).

Mr. Weasley slowly and carefully opened the parchment with his hands as the children got very anxious.

"I have an announcement to make!" he announced, holding his hands high in importance.

"We have won the wizarding world lottery!!!" yelled Mr. Weasley in excitement.

"We're rich! We're rich!" yelled Ron, Fred, and George together.

"I can't believe it!" said Ginny walking backwards, and falling onto the couch behind her in a sitting position.

"What's happening in here?" interrogated Mrs. Weasley with a plate full of homemade chocolate chip cookies in her hands. She still had her oven mitts on, from taking the cookies out of the oven. Molly also used a cooling spell for the cookies, after they came out, so they wouldn't be as hot. The oven mitts were left on as a careless error.

"We won the wizarding world lottery!" said Ron with a raspy voice, from all the yelling and screaming.

"What?" she asked.

"Don't you know what it is?" asked Ginny in confusion.

"Of course I know about it," said Mrs. Weasley, "how much?"

"Um......... Let me see, "Trailed off Mr. Weasley as he ruffled through the papers on the desk, searching for the document, "Oh! Here it is: It's 25,000 gallons!" screamed Mr. Weasley.

Finally, Ron, Fred, George, Ginny and the rest of the Weasley family won't have to be hassled by any of the Malfoys or anyone else, for that matter, thought Harry. I'm sure glad of their luck. I wonder if Charlie and Bill are going to come and visit. I guess what's their business is their business and has no concern with me. I shouldn't be thinking this. I should just enjoy this moment, as Ron will probably question me on it for years to come.

The whole family jumped for joy and never even heard the doorbell ring.

"Um, Mr. Weasley? Mrs. Weasley? The doorbell just rang! Shouldn't you go get it?" , "Oh, never mind. I'll get it."

"Hello," said the stranger. The stranger had a black cloak with a wide rim for the hood. Is that, a, a death eater? Wondered Harry as he was petrified to the bone.

"What are you doing here-" Harry asked as a hand covered his mouth and dragged him quietly inside, not allowing Harry to scream at all.
