Chapter 4: Loving a Woman (Part 1))
As Harry lay on his back beneath the stars, he couldn't stop the grin from spreading across his face. The air seemed cleaner, fresher, if that were possible. The night stars were brighter to him than they had been in a long time. Everything was VERY right in his world right now, and no amount of bad thoughts could change it this night. For even though he and Ginny had only been together as a couple for over a week now, tonight they had become lovers. A small, happy sigh sounded from his chest where the woman he loved lay contentedly. She was more than he had ever dreamed of; she was the stuff dreams WERE made of in every sense.
When they had first become a couple, they had started with shy, hesitant kisses, building up to heavier, more intense kissing, then kissing and petting, until the culmination of giving one another the ultimate gift tonight. While there had been a bit of fumbling, expected for two virgins, it had not made this first time experience any less sweeter for either one of them.
It had started innocently enough, quite unplanned. For the last few nights they had taken to bringing an old quilt with them on their walks, so they could sit under an old oak tree and hold one another while looking up at the night. Tonight had been different somehow, and they had both known it. They had been sitting, discussing the future and what it might bring. Ginny had been between Harry's legs, her back against his chest, his arms around her, while he leaned against the old tree. A silence had fallen between them, a comfortable one, when she had felt his lips stirring her hair near her left ear. She wimpered softly as he pulled her hair away from her neck, and began to nuzzle her ear, neck, and jaw-line. "Oh, Harry! Your lips drive me insane! Oh! The godssssssssssssssss!!!!!!"
Harry gently began to nip her earlobe, then to taste of its sweetness. With excitement pulsing through every fiber of her being, she quickly turned her head to have access to those divine lips. He happily accomodated her. Harry slipped his tongue into her mouth and began a curious exploration of the curves and hidden recesses of her mouth. He broke the kiss long enough to rain a shower of them across her beautiful, freckled face. He slowly lowered her from the crook of his elbow to softness of the quilt, all the while allowing his lips, tongue, and teeth access to her beautiful white throat.
Ginny threw her head back, breathing hoarsely while digging her hands in fistfuls through his unruly hair. As Harry reached the top of her blouse, it hit him in a flash-like bolt; he wanted to make beautiful, exquisite love to this flame-haired beauty. He wanted to see her as the gods had fashioned her, every delicious inch of her. His hand reached up to cup her cheek, to pull her eyes even with his.
"Ginny...you know how much I love you. I haven't lied to you about that. And I was serious when I said I would marry you after we've both finished school. Nothing would give me greater pleasure, and I would truly be the luckiest man on Earth. But I..." He trailed off nervously. She smiled up at him, all the love in her heart shining in her eyes.
"Sweet Harry...I know...and I, too, love you. But now, this night our hearts are more in tune than ever before; become my lover this night, Harry. Please, make love to me Harry." He groaned, then proceeded to unbutton her blouse with as much speed as his fumbling fingers would allow.
"Damnit!! How many buttons does this bloody thing have?!" Ginny couldn't suppress the laughter that bubbled up in her throat. She decided to tease him a little.
"What's wrong, my love? Having troubles? Need help?" He glared at her momentarily, then a devious grin lit his features. "No, Harry!! Don't you dare! How will you..." She trailed off with a small squeal as he fiendishly popped the rest of her buttons.
"I guess that takes care of that problem," he said as his own laughter spilled over. She began to sputter with temper, but he quickly cut her off as he lowered his lips to her collarbone and began a sweet seduction by slowly licking his way across the top of her chest. She moaned happily as he moved lower to skim the top of her breasts. He soon had removed what remained of her shirt and was lovingly administering kisses to her chest. Ginny was sure she'd died and gone to Heaven. If she never lived another day she would definitely die a happy woman, for after tonight she would certainly be a woman. Her hands fisted in his hair as his lips moved maddeningly in slow-speed down her torso to stop momentarily at her navel to inhale the sweet, clean scent of her rose and lilac perfume. She felt as if she were coming unglued at the seams. Her hips began to writhe uncontrollably, bucking wildly at these ministrations.
"Harry please hurry!!"
"Shh, my love...soon," he crooned as he gently slid one hand down between her legs. With very little effort on his part she was soon ready for the final act of love. He then showed her what to do to make him feel good, until he could stand it no longer.
"Ginny, sweet Ginny ..." he gasped. He positioned himself over her sweet body, instinctively soothing and carressing when she stiffened nervously. When her eyes began to roll back into her head he began to enter her slowly.
"G-Gin...tell me if it hurts and I'll stop," his voice trembled. He prayed to the gods she wouldn't try to stop him because he honestly wasn't sure if he could. She pulled his head down for a very intense, very loving kiss. As she did so he quickly filled her full of himself. He felt more than heard the muffled shriek in her mouth that he swallowed as he settled himself. He pulled his head back nervously, scanning her beautiful face for undue pain. He was surprised when a beautific smile lit up her face, encouraging him. He started slow, encouraging her movements as they started. Soon the tempo was out of control as they moved faster, their bodies striving to drive each other over the edge. Ginny felt her vision beginning to cross, and hungrily brought Harry's head down for a kiss. It was at the moment that their lips touched that she lost control. With a happy cry Ginny flew into the skies above and everything went blessedly bright as she cried out his name. Seconds later, while she was still in the last throes of her spent emotions, Harry went over the edge also, hoarsely calling her name as he, too, found the stars. It was in that split second of merging that they both felt as if their very souls had touched and joined, leaving both rocked in the beauty of what they had shared, feeling for certain that theirs was a meant to be love.
And now, as he lay here happily reliving the last half-hour, he knew he had truly found what Bill had talked about when he played that Muggle song for him and Ron, what he sincerely hoped would be true for Ron and Hermione.
As he and Ginny walked back to the Burrow hand-in-hand, he pulled her closer, wrapping an arm about her, nuzzling her hair. She smiled lovingly up at him and kissed his jaw line tenderly. And it was after they had shared one last, (smoldering) kiss goodnight, that he went to get himself a warm glass of milk and mull over the day that Bill had helped to enlighten him and Ron both.
It was the day after he and Ginny had shared their first, sweet kiss and had become a couple. He smiled in remembering it, almost as if it had happened eons ago, instead of just a little over a week. He and Ron had waited nervously outside for Bill's arrival, hoping to ambush him before the rest of the family saw him. Although a little startled by the anxious looks on their faces at first, he couldn't help but smile when he realized their dilemma.
"So, let me see if I can puzzle out what you're trying to ask me, to save you both more humiliation than you seem to be experiencing right now. You're assuming, no, hoping that I can tell you how you can tell when you really love a woman?" Harry and Ron exchanged nervous glances.
Ron sputtered, "Well, you see......it's just that, you know, we um....." His ears turned red at the top as he became more flustered. Bill laughed softly, and took pity on his youngest brother.
"Well, luckily for you, if it hadn't been for the right song, and the lovely, exquisite Fleur Delacour, I would have remained quite clueless. So I do believe I might be able to assist you chaps. Come with me." Bewildered, they followed him around to the shed behind the Burrow where Arthur Weasley puttered about with his plugs and batteries. "If I'm not mistaken, Dad has a Muggle radio he smuggled home that he bewitched to run off magic. But of course, knowing Mum as I do, he probably has it hidden out here." Ron and Harry just grinned at each other, both remembering the flying Ford Anglia from their second year at Hogwarts.
As Bill opened the door all manner of things could be viewed sitting on the shelves in a haphazard manner. Bill looked around for a moment, then spotting the radio, "Ah, there it is." He reached up to a shelf above him and began to move objects out of his way. Harry and Ron watched in fascination and curiousity as Bill moved electrical plugs, car sparkplugs, an old oil lamp that kept sneezing, and a broken piece of some old music box. He gently pulled down the old Muggle "boombox", and set it on the workbench before them. He looked back at them and grinned as he saw the expectant looks on their faces. "Now, all you have to do is tap it with your wand, say the name of the artist you want to listen to, type of music, or anything of that nature to get it going. Dad showed it to me and Charlie a couple of years ago when it first came into his possession. When I was unsure as to how I felt about Fleur, I came here, tapped it, and simply said "love songs". I probably listened to a good dozen before the one that made the most sense came on. After I listened to it, I tapped the radio again, and asked for the name of the artist so that I could know who sang such a wonderful song. I hope it helps you guys understand; if not, just tap it again, say clearly, 'STOP,' and then tap it and say 'love songs.' Well fellas, I'll just get it started, and leave you to listen." He leaned over the radio, and they heard him clearly say, "Bryan Adams, 'Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?', please." So saying, he smiled at the two boys, and stepped out of the shed. Harry and Ron turned as one as the first strums of music poured out and carefully listened to the words of the song.
After listening to the song four times, they stopped the radio and placed it back on the shelf where it belonged. They discussed it in earnest on their way back to the house, agreeing that it had helped immensely.
Harry sat smiling, lost in the memory as he finished his milk. It was true. He really loved Ginny, and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. For he knew her deepest secrets, fears, and her dreams for the future. And tonight had also helped to bring home to him how much he loved this beautiful, fiery redhead, who although still a slip of a girl, was fast becoming a woman. He had felt as helpless as a newborn babe lying in her arms this night; it had not made him feel weak, but safe, and loved. And when he had looked into her beautiful chocolate eyes, he dreamed of the beautiful children she would hope-fully give him some day. Redheads with brown eyes, (maybe green), or dark-haired little ones with her sweet face to accompany them. The song had said everything that for him was true. His smile widened at the thought of a glorious future.
"Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman?"
To really love a woman
To understand her - you gotta know her deep inside
Hear every thought - see every dream
And give her wings when she wants to fly
Then when you find yourself lying helpless in her arms
You know you really love a woman
When you love a woman you tell her that she's really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she's the one
'Cause she needs somebody to tell her that it's gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really - really really ever loved a woman?
To really love a woman
Let her hold you - 'till you know how she needs to be touched
You've gotta breathe her - really taste her
'Till you can feel her in your blood
And when you can see your unborn children in her eyes
You know you really love a woman
When you love a woman you tell her that she's really wanted
When you love a woman you tell her that she's the one
'Cause she needs somebody to tell her that it's gonna last forever
So tell me have you ever really - really really ever loved a woman?
You got to give her some faith - hold her tight
A little tenderness - gotta treat her right
She will be there for you - taking good care of you
You really gotta love your woman..........
