Enter: Harry and Hermione-The Broken Well
"Why are you spying on us?" the woman said, pointing her sword towards Ron's neck.
"I was just casually observing," Ron said.
"So you were spying on us?" she said.
"No," Ron said with caution.
"Are you a spy for Naraku?" she asked.
"Who's Naraku?" Ron asked.
"Kagome, is he one of your friends, he's sort of dressed like you," said the boy with the dog-ears.
"No, I've never seen him before," Kagome informed him. "I don't think he's a spy for Naraku, if anything; he's just a lost boy."
The term "boy" disturbed Ron.
"So, what are you doing here?" the dog-eared boy asked.
"Well, I fell down a well-"
"The Bone-Eater's well," Kagome interjected.
"Yeah, anyway, I fell down that well, then I followed you, now here I am," Ron said.
"Why were at the well, anyway?" Kagome asked.
"I was taking a walk, then I saw this old shed, I followed you, curious to know what you were doing. I saw you jump into the well, and then when I went to see if you were all right, I got pulled in," Ron explained.
"You followed Kagome here?" the dog-eared boy asked.
"Um, yeah."
"That's interesting, I wonder why you were pulled you in," Kagome wondered.
"Yeah, me too," Ron added.
"Well, we'll just simply go back to the well, and see if he can make it through," the monk said.
"Harry, look." Hermione pointed to some small houses up the hill.
"Well, let's take a look at the village," Harry replied.
They made their way over to the village hoping to find Ron.
"Who's there?" a voice called out. An elderly man held a long knife and pointed it at Harry.
"State your business," the elderly man demanded.
Back to Ron...
"I wonder what's going on up there." Kagome stopped to look at the village on top of the hill; the villagers were all crowded around something.
"I don't think we should be getting into other peoples' business," Ron said. "Where the hell are you people going, I thought we were going back to the well."
The traveling group was heading to the village upon the hill.
"We are just going to see what's happening," Sango told him.
Ron took a deep sigh, and started following the others up the hill. The crowd grew larger; more people came out of their homes to witness the strange visitors.
As soon as the group reached the village, the villagers opened a path for them.
"So, what's going on?" Kagome asked a villager.
"Those strange people over there." she pointed over in the direction of them.
"Alright, so what are we doing up here? Ron asked. "Harry, Hermione what are doing here?!" Ron's eyes widen in surprise.
"You know these people?" Inuyasha asked.
"Yeah, they're my friends, actually no just him."
Back at Kaede's village...
"Ron, why are you always getting yourself into -useless- situations?" Hermione asked.
"Hermione, nobody said you had to follow me," Ron said, crossing his arms.
"Ron, I'm only looking out for your parents' best interest." Hermione picked up her bowl and began to eat.
"Well, was anyone looking out for my best interest? I am a grown man, Hermione, I can make my own choices."
"So you rather have no one looking for, even though you just disappeared?"
"I'm not saying you shouldn't go after me, I'm just saying you should look out for my best interest."
"Ron, you don't know what you're talking about. You always have to be so nosey, getting into others people's business. Maybe if you weren't so jealous, we wouldn't get into ruts like this."
"Only you Hermione would bring this up, at a time like this. I never made the choice to go into the shed. I was only concerned about Kagome."
"I understand that you were trying to see if Kagome was alright. But why did you have to go into a well?"
"Hermione, why the hell would I go into the well by choice, the damn well pulled me in."
"You were pulled in?"
"I just said that. I felt something pull me in."
Harry entered the room and sat across from Ron.
"Where were you?" Ron asked.
"I was washing my face." Harry started drink some of his tea. "Do you know where we are? We're in Feudal Japan."
"Old Japan," Ron said, with surprise and disappointment in his eyes.
"That well took us 700 years in the past," Hermione said, with the same look. "I can't think of what you would call it."
Kagome and Inuyasha entered the room, and took their places on the mats.
"Hi, um... I'm Kagome and this is Inuyasha."
"Hi," Inuyasha said without looking up from his bowl.
"So does that well pull everyone in?" Hermione asked.
"Not until now. It used to only let Inuyasha and me through."
"Then how is it the three of us can go through?" Hermione said.
"There are probably some dark sorcerers waiting to devour you," Inuyasha joked.
"Inuyasha, that is no way to talk to our new guests!" Kagome yelled.
"So somebody brought us here to kill us." Ron's face turned milk white.
"Oh no, I don't think anyone would just bring you here to kill you. You all have a special aura, and maybe that's why the well let you through."
"Maybe, but we need to get back to the well and see if we can go back," Ron demanded.
"We can't go now, it's already dark. We'll have to wait 'till morning," Kagome said. She motioned her eyes to the doorway to see Miroku and Sango enter the room.
"Nice of you to join us," Inuyasha said before taking the last fish.
"It would have been nicer if you left us some food, Inuyasha," Miroku said giving Sango the rice bowl. "So what brings you to the Feudal Era?"
"That creepy well, I never wanted to come here. Now someone is out to kill me," Ron said stuffing more rice in his mouth.
"Ron, no one is trying to kill you," Hermione assured him.
"You don't know that, Hermione."
"Kagome, why do you travel back to the Feudal Era?" Harry asked.
"It's a long story but I was also pulled into the well along time ago but now I come here because we're on a mission. And I feel comfortable here and I also like being with my friends."
"It sounds like she doesn't have much of a life back in her time," Ron whispered to Harry.
"Ron!" Hermione whispered back.
"So, where do we sleep?" Ron asked.
Next day...
"Harry, wake up!"
"Ron, what do you want?" Harry said turning to his side.
"Harry, we're supposed to go back to the well."
"Oh yes, I remember now."
Harry sat up then he reached for his glasses. "Ron where are my glasses?"
"They're right here." Ron handed Harry his glasses.
"I hate mornings."
Harry rose to his feet and left the room after Ron. As soon as they reached the breakfast quarters, they spotted Hermione drinking tea and chatting with the others.
"Good morning," Hermione said, pouring Harry and Ron a cup of tea.
"Morning, Hermione." Harry laid his cup down and filled his bowl with soup.
"How was your sleep, Hermione?" Ron asked.
"It was fine, thank you for asking."
"They seem like an old married couple," Miroku whispered to Sango. She gave him an annoyed expression.
"We should be going now," Ron, said standing up. "You know back to the well."
"Oh yeah," Kagome said.
At the well...
As they arrived at the well, Ron's eyes lit up at the sight of it.
"Finally, well it's been fun." Ron turned away from them. He climbed on the edge of the well, and jumped. After a few seconds of silence, they finally heard a noise coming from the well.
"Ron," Harry said, looking down the bottom of the well.
"Help." Ron climbed out of the well, his nose and shirt sodden with blood. "My shirt is ruined," he said looking down at it.
"Oh, Ron," Hermione said walking up to him, with a flick of her wand Ron's nose was fixed and his shirt clean of blood.
"How'd you do that?" Sango asked astonished.
"Are you all some sort of sorcerers?" Miroku asked.
"Something like that, we're very powerful," Ron said pretentiously.
"Yeah right," Inuyasha murmured.
"Anyway, it seems that the well is broken," Ron said.
