Chapter 6: Spirit Plane of Ghosts

"Lily, what are you doing?" Sirius asked.

"What does it look like silly? I'm looking after my baby," Lily said, as she watched her son eat his lunch.

"He's not a baby anymore Lil," Sirius said. "In fact, he's almost quite an adult now. Even though, he's just coming into his sixth year at Hogwarts."

"I know Siri but it's just - I can't help but to watch him every second that he's alive," Lily said.

"I know but you've got another main man in your life and I'd say if I were him, I'd be a little upset if my wife was paying a little too much attention to our son as not enough to me," Sirius said.

"But James didn't come as a ghost. He went on to heaven where he belongs," Lily said.

"Yes he did, but he came back. Do you remember what happened on your wedding day?" Sirius asked.

"What part of it?" Lily asked, remembering her beautiful day with James, and James only.

"The part where you were only supposed to wear the necklace and in the end you ended up wearing both, his ring and your necklace," Sirius said.

"Yeah, what about it?" Lily asked.

"Don't you remember what that ghost said, the one that appeared in the middle of the wedding and made it appear as he had taken you and James away from everybody else, but even though we all knew what was going on?" Sirius asked.

Lily closed her eyes and remembered it like it was just yesterday.

The sunshine was shining bright on the beautiful day. The clouds were just right, the weather was just right. All except for the fact that Lily had on the ring and the necklace. According to her ancestor, that was a big no-no. Apparently, she hadn't listened to her ancestor. Neither did James to his ancestor.

There they were on the terrace of the gazebo, also, where they shared their first kiss together. Professor Dumbledore was standing at the front, front and center wise. He had his wand out and ready to go. They were at the time reciting their vows. Just before Professor Dumbledore was going to say the famous last words, a wind suddenly picked up. Tossing and turning about all around Lily and James. It brought them up into the clouds as high as they ever thought they could have imagined.

"Do you realize what you've created by wearing both of those, Mistress of the Sea?" the spirit said.

Mistress of the Sea? Lily thought. I am the Mistress of the Sea?

"Excuse me, but why do you insist to call me Mistress of the Sea?" Lily asked.

"If you knew then you wouldn't need to have asked that question," the spirit said.

Well, duh... I know that... Lily thought.

The spirit continued to speak even though it had made Lily mad.

"You see, by you wearing the ring, which should be on his finger and not yours, and the necklace which is on your neck, and then you'd have just created a great disaster ahead of you," the spirit said.

"You see, it says in the legends that there will be a lady, a lady with beautiful locks of red hair and emerald eyes, who will be known as the Mistress of the Sea. And you," the spirit said, turning towards James, "would be the Master of the Sea."

"The legend says, that the only way to ever find out who this Mistress and Master would be was to always be looking out for the sign. The sign was, when the Mistress would not only put her necklace on during her wedding but also her Master's ring. And this is exactly what you have done. And now your fate has sealed. All that's left is for your destiny to be filled out. But be warned that your disaster part of your reign as Mistress and Master will cease after 2 years after your first child is born. Let this be all you know about your future. You will now leave your eyes open while I cast you back down to your planet Earth as you call it," the spirit said.

Lily and James then started to float back down. But the only thing was, Lily didn't keep her eyes open. She closed them. This was how she remembered all of this. Only Lily knew about her child in the future. James didn't remember a single part of it.

"So, what's your point?" Lily asked, coming out of her dream state.

"I believe you know my point, for I know you just daydreamed about that day," Sirius said.

"You never cease to amaze me Siri," Lily said.

"I know, I know," Sirius said. "What would you do without me?"
