Chapter Two - Something for Harry

A tapping was heard in the kitchen. Harry, being now the lazy bum that he is since the war is now over, tiredly walked to the kitchen to let the owl in. His snowy white owl flew in, and landed on the kitchen counter.

"Hedwig," Harry said in a threatening tone. "What did I tell you about landing on the counter when you just got done with delivering mail? Remember what happened last time?"

Hedwig held out her leg, and Harry took the letter. The owl hooted, and flew to the salon where she sat on her perch and drank some water.

Harry turned over the envelope several times. There was no address to it, and no sign that it was for him. The Hogwarts seal sealed it shut, but that was all. How could he know that it belonged to someone else, and not him? He hadn't gotten a Hogwarts letter for sometime now, not since last July 31.

"Hedwig?" Harry called, walking into the salon, still eying the envelope. "Are you sure you got the right person?"

The owl hooted, and closed her eyes.

Harry shrugged, and slowly broke the Hogwarts seal. He read the letter, and slumped down on the couch, ignoring the fact that he sat on a large book.

After a minute of thinking on the letter, he finally realized that something was digging in his back. He reached behind him, and took out the book. Once he saw what it was, he through it across the room, just barely missing Hedwig.

He held up the letter, and read it once again.

Harry-

Sybill has just, yet again, prophesied. I think that it may be correct. I have an absolute feeling. The lights were dim, and her voice was cracked, and when she came out of the trance, she was acting like nothing happened. This is what she said:

"The hero of our era will be needed in another...A new time that has unknown evil...A new war will break out...If he does not succeed."

I don't think this is a hoax. What does it mean, I am not sure. Keep an eye out for anything in the past or anytime that had an unknown evil. You are the "hero of our era" if you haven't already figured out, I'm sure.

Regards,

Albus Dumbledore

P.S. I have also sent Miss Granger a copy of the prophecy, so she might be able to help. I told her that you would contact her as soon as you could. Please write to Miss Granger as soon as you can.

Harry nodded. So, Dumbledore was having feelings about prophecies made by Trelawny? How like him.

*---*

Sango and Kagome waited for Inuyasha to wake from his sleep. The only way to get him to calm down is to put him to sleep.

"You know," Sango said, breaking the silence, "you were really aggressive with Kouga. I was surprised."

Kagome looked at Sango from Inuyasha. She smiled, and then looked back down at Inuyasha.

"I never heard you act that way to anyone except for Inuyasha," Sango continued. "That was really amazing-"

"I didn't mean to!" Kagome snapped, looking up at Sango. "That's not like me! I don't just shout at anyone just because he's making fun of Inuyasha."

Sango smiled. "But you did. Maybe you're changing?"

Kagome sighed. "I change so much. It's hard to keep track."

Sango laughed, and was joined in by Kagome.

Was it true? Had Kagome really changed? It was a scary thought, she didn't want to change. But, then again, changing shouldn't be that bad, right?

*---*

Kamagii set the bowl down, and sighed. He had loved dinnertime since the beginning of time. He looked over at Haku, who was still standing there, waiting for the boiler man to finish.

"What's this with Zaneeba?" Kamagii asked.

"She's called," Haku answered. "She says that something is going to go terribly wrong in the human world. She says that we need to help."

"Why does she want us to help? What can we do? I'm just a boiler man...Hold on, Master Haku." Kamagii took the small sledgehammer, and banged it against the steel wheel. "COME ON YOU PIECES OF SOOT! THIS FIRE WON'T HEAT ITSELF!" He set the hammer down as more tokens fell for his assistance. "What's wrong with the human world?" he asked, annoyed that he got three at one time.

"She said something about something that was dwelling in the Kohaku River, my river." Haku walked up to Kamagii's side.

"Why are you telling me this?" Kamagii tugged on one of the tokens, and it shot up. "Why must I be worried about what lives in your river?"

"I don't know. She just told me that something is dwelling in my river, and to tell no one but you. I think we should go to her house in Swamp Bottom. She may give more information."

Kamagii nodded. "I just have to tell Yu-Baba that I'm leaving. I would be punished severely, you know."

Haku nodded. "I will tell her."
