Author's Note:
Here is my first attempt to a crossover fic. Tell me what you think. Criticism is appreciated, but not too much. You don't want me to go into depression, right? So, some praise is good.

Chapter One- The New Prophecy

The room dimmed, her eyes dazed, her voice cracked. Dumbledore stopped what he was doing, and listened as Sybill Trelawney made another prophecy.

"The hero of our era will be needed in another...A new time that has unknown evil...A new war will break out...If he does not succeed."

The lights regained their brightness, and Sybill returned to her normal self. She smiled sweetly, and watched the Headmaster.

He was scribbling something quickly on a piece of parchment, not once glancing at her.

He finished writing and quickly stormed out.

Sybill looked at Fawkes, who seemed just as confused as she was.

"Is my request for more tealeaves that important?"

*---*

"Damnit!" he cursed. He held his hand to his wound in his side. Two girls, a monk, and a baby fox demon rushed to his side.

"Inuyasha! Are you all right?" one of the girls asked as she kneeled down beside him.

"Kagome, give him some room to breathe," Kouga smirked. "This piece of mutt ain't worth your tears."

Kagome, red in the face, stood up and faced Kouga.

"You insufferable...you!" she screamed. "I may have saved you from Inuyasha once, don't think I will ever consider it, again!"

"Kagome," Inuyasha croaked, "Leave him to me."

Kagome turned around to see Inuyasha using his Tetsaiga to help himself off the ground, pushing the others away. Obviously, that blow to the side didn't do him any good; there was blood gushing to the ground.

"I can take this wolf on," he said, only barely smiling. "Even with those jewels in his legs and arm. It's nothing I can't handle."

"That's right, puppy dog," Kouga said, "come crawling back for more. Good doggy."

Inuyasha growled, but the Tetsaiga transformed into the mighty demon killer nonetheless. Sango, the other girl, grabbed Kagome, and they and the others ran out of the way.

The Wind-Scar, Inuyasha thought. Wait for it...there it is!

Inuyasha raised the heavy sword above his head and he jumped high in the air. "I'll teach you to call me puppy dog'!" he yelled.

The sword then came in contact with the ground, and flashes of white light streamed towards Kouga, causing breaks in the ground.

As the smoke and flashes of light disappeared, Inuyasha was disappointed to find Kouga gone, again.

He growled in frustration. "Why does he always do that?" he yelled as the Tetsaiga returned to normal and the other four joined him.

*---*

"Zaneeba just called," a young man's voice said, startling the boiler man. The young man sounded worried.

"What is wrong, Master Haku?" The boiler man turned around to see Haku standing next to Lin, both looking stressed.

"It's dinner time, boiler man," Lin said. She flipped her brown hair behind her shoulder. "Where's your bowl from last night?"

The boiler man handed the bowl to her and she traded it with a bowl filled with soup. She then walked to the edge of the wooden floor. She shook the basket that she held. It was filled with little candy stars. Little tiny soot balls appeared from their mouse holes. Lin started throwing the candy stars, and the tiny soot balls caught as many as they could.

"What's this about Zaneeba?" the boiler man asked, bits of dumpling spitting from his mouth.

"It's important," Haku answered. He looked at Lin, who just stood there like he was going to include her in what it was that he was talking about.

Lin looked at Haku, then sighed and slowly crawled through the little door, muttering something that sounded like, "If only Sen were still here..."
