Chapter Two-The Vampire Roi

The room was dark, and small. There was a single fireplace with a small fire lit, a table in the middle of the room, and a cushion chair in front of the fire. On the table was a bottle of what looked like red wine, and one crystal wineglass. On the other side of the room, a tall man stood, his narrowed eyes surveying her, and he was smirking.

Nicky smiled once she saw him. He walked forward towards her, but stopped at the chair, and motioned for her to go to him. She did, and he held her hand while she sat down. He kneeled down in front of her.

"I told you we'd have a room all on our own, did I not?" He said. Nicky smiled. His smirk not leaving his lips, he leaned forward, got close to her lips, but before he could kiss her, he turned his head, and he was now breathing on his marks on her. The warm breath on her vampire bites made shivers run down her spine. He breathed on it once again, and placed a small kiss on it. "You are mine, are you not?" he asked.

Nicky sighed. The man leaned back, and looked her in her eyes, his mouth open only so slightly so she could she his teeth. She bit her bottom lip, her top lip curling up into a sympathetic smile.

Only in her dreams...

"How do you feel about me?" he asked, moving forward, and coming so close to her that their noses touched.

Nicky licked her lips. How did he mean? She was a human; he was a vampire, just to point out the obvious. Sure, he was a very nice companion to have when he wasn't drooling over her and claiming her his own. It was hard to

"Well," she began, not exactly sure what to say. "How do you mean?"

Roi backed away, and sighed irritably. She knew exactly what he meant. "In this dream world we share. Do you love me?"

She smiled unsurely. She knew that she wasn't supposed to love him at all, not even like him in the slightest bit, as Harold tells her.

"Well..." she began.

"Nicky..." came Harold's voice.

Roi looked at her urgently. "Now, before you wake up!"

"Yes!" she yelled. Um, sure, why not? "In this dream world, yes! I love you!" She knew it wasn't that true.

"Nicky, wake up, love," Harold said, placing his hands on Nicky's shoulders. The room became blurry.

"Then how do you feel about me in the real world? Quickly!" Roi said.

That's when Nicky couldn't take it. She didn't ever want to be found. As she said before...only in her dreams. She knew dreams couldn't hurt her, so why not lie to him about loving him? If she told him that she didn't love him, the worst was that he would try to hurt her. If she said she did love him, she knew he would come after her. What to do?

"You hesitate," Roi growled.

Nicky forced her eyes open. Everyone in the compartment was looking at her, her brothers worried looks on their faces; Draco, Blaise and Harry looking her, expecting something, though she didn't know what.

Nicky sighed, and understood why the three boys were expecting something of her: she was crying.

"What did he do to you?" Harold asked in a death threatening tone. Nicky shook her head.

"What happened?" she asked him.

Santiago stepped forward. "As soon as the trolley came by, you fainted."

"We've been waiting impatiently for you to wake up on your own, but you were smiling, then you shivered, and began crying. What happened with you and him?" Louis added.

Hermione and Ron looked around at everyone, feeling left out at not knowing what they were talking about. They also began wondering why Harry wasn't looking curious as to what they were talking about. Harry knew.

Nicky shook her head, but Harold wouldn't take a little shake of the head as an answer. He picked her up in his arms, and sat on the chair. He held up her head and looked at her eyes. "Don't lie," he whispered.

Nicky looked down at her hands, and couldn't keep it in any longer; she broke out in tears. "I lied to him!" she cried. She wrapped her arms around Harold's neck, and cried onto his shirt. "I lied!"

"What did you say?" Louis asked.

Nicky wiped her eyes, and looked up at him, her head still on Harold's shoulder. "He asked me how I felt about him," she answered quietly.

Harold's face turned red. "You don't...Please tell me you don't!"

"No! I don't!" Nicky cried looking at Harold. "I just said I did. I didn't have a choice! I'm stuck with him for who knows how long? Might as well not be on his bad side. I did what I had to do, Harold."

Harold glared at her, but slowly softened. He shook his head, and hugged her tightly. "Just don't take it further than words," he whispered.

Nicky nodded, hugging him back.

---

Harold wasn't too keen on the idea of having Nicky alone without him, but he had to give in. Nicky, Harry, Draco, and Santiago got into a carriage. Harold told them all that McGonagall wanted to see them as soon as they arrived. Harold told Santiago and Nicky that he would be waiting for them with Louis.

Once in the carriage, Nicky sighed and leaned back. She couldn't wait until she arrived at Hogwarts. She sat quietly and listened while Harry told Santiago about the school, and listened to Draco talk about Slytherin. The way he talked about his house, the more Nicky thought it would be fun to be in Slytherin.

"We're the best with social skills," Draco said. "We aren't cowards, we-"

"Haven't won the Qudditch or house cup in five years?" Harry put in, smirking.

"Shut it, Potter!" Draco growled.

Santiago laughed. "You two don't get along at all, do you?"

"It's called arrogance," Harry said.

"And wrong sort of people," Draco added.

Santiago shook his head, and looked at Nicky, his face paling. He ushered Harry away from her, and he sat next to her. She was fast asleep.

---

"You're back, I see," Roi said in a cool voice behind her.

Nicky turned and looked at him. He wrapped his arm around her neck, and moved her hair away from her marks. He smiled at her. "Back to business."

Nicky gulped, and gave him a worried look. "What business?" she asked.

"How do you feel about me? I know I adore you very much, and I would love to have you as my queen of darkness."

Nicky looked into his eyes, trying to find words to tell him. No, she didn't love him at all. Her feelings for him were actually low, but she couldn't tell him that.

Roi shook his head at her and backed away from her. One vampire ability he treasured was the ability to read someone's thoughts. He began shaking with rage. What did it take to make this girl happy? Had he not treated her with care these past months? Had he not saved her from being murdered? Had he not been her savior, and this is how she repays him?

"Fine," he whispered.

Nicky gave him a puzzled look. "What?"

"You don't want me?" he asked smiling like it was unbelievable. "You won't have me."

With that, he whipped around, his cloak flowing behind him. Nicky called after him, not knowing what it was she said.

---

"Roi! Roi!" Nicky screamed, tears running down her cheeks.

"Nicky! Wake up!" Santiago yelled. He didn't know what to do with these situations. Usually, when she woke up the whole house screaming, it was Harold who went to calm her. How did he do it? He looked desperately at his sister. He bit his bottom lip, and brushed her hair out of her face. Once he did so, she seemed to calm down. He smiled at her as her eyes slowly opened.

She gasped and looked around. The carriage had stopped, and Harry and Draco were frozen to their seats. Santiago smiled his thanks that she finally woke up. Nicky broke out in tears and clung to her brother. Suddenly the door was thrust open and Harold stood at the doorway.

"What happened?" he asked urgently. He saw Nicky crying into Santiago's shirt. "Well?"

Santiago looked at him apologetically. "She fell asleep again, Harold. She was screaming for Roi, and she was crying. I finally got her to wake."

Harold looked around the carriage and eyed everyone in it. He looked at Harry. "Is this true?" Harold asked him.

"Oh, thanks for your vote of confidence," Santiago said, motioning for Nicky to get out of the carriage.

Harold didn't wait for a reply from Harry; he grabbed Nicky, and told Santiago to follow him.

They walked up the steps that led to the castle. Nicky admired the castle. She wondered if there would be ghosts, and ghouls, and vampires, and...She then wondered if Roi had a castle.

No! Do not think on that now! Roi is gone, out of her life. Good, that's how she wanted it. No more thinking Roi would come for her, no more thinking Roi would claim her as his own.

But still, she couldn't help wondering. It didn't hurt to wonder, right?

They continued walking. Nicky saw Louis waiting for them with a professor. Nicky guessed that she was Professor McGonagall. Nicky, Harold, and Santiago walked up to the professor, who smiled at them and nodded.

"Welcome to Hogwarts," she said. "If you follow me, I will lead you to the Great Hall, and you will be sorted."

Alone at last! She smiled as she read her book, and took a sip of wine, cursing her lipstick getting stuck to the wineglass. She sighed, and decided to continue reading and not worry about the wineglass.

She turned the page as the parlor door opened and her husband walked in. She smiled lovingly up at him. She couldn't get it through her mind how much he looked like Harold, his son, her stepson.

He sat on the couch next to her, moving her hair out of her face. "Our first night, alone, together," he said, a smile playing on his lips. "What do you think we should do?"

"Well, I was going to finish this chapter," she said. "Then, I thought about going to bed." She smiled back at him, and placed a kiss on his lips.

"Well then, I guess I'll go upstairs and wait for you then, deal?"

She nodded, and watched him stand up and leave the parlor, closing the door behind him. She sighed and flipped the page.

Feral LeBouche sighed as she finished her last sentence of the chapter.

"They'd left the invisibility cloak on top of the tower."

She closed the book, and rubbed her eyes. Hopefully, John hadn't been waiting too long. She downed the last of her wine, and stood up. She downed the lights a bit, and set the book down on the couch.

Just as the book hit the couch, there was a loud bang noise that came from just outside of the parlor door. Feral jumped, screeched, and turned around, holding her hand to her heart. It was silent, all except her breathing.

She slowly stepped towards the door, knowing, for all she knew, that she was risking her life checking to see if there was anything. She swallowed nervously, and grasped the doorknob firmly. She pushed the door open slowly, and peeked out.

There was nothing to be found.

She stepped out of the room, and closed the door behind her. She looked around, and didn't see a sign of anything.

Feral turned around and began walking to where her room was, but stopped short and gasped. A red substance was on the wall. She kneeled down and touched it with her fingers, rubbing the substance between her fingers. Red, it was so red it looked almost like...

BLOOD!

Feral looked around frantically once she discovered the substance to be blood. No one was to be found. She looked back at the blood on the wall. It was still fresh; meaning it hadn't been that long ago that it appeared there. She thought it strange that the blood was only in one spot.

She jumped when she heard heavy footsteps walking up the stairs. Feral didn't know what happened, but whatever happened, some one was trying to hide it.

She sighed, thinking it was just one of her servants trying to get away with something, but she didn't fall for anything.

Feral stood up and walked to the stairs. The heavy footsteps seized at the top. Feral, still nervous, although she didn't know why, she was only going after one of her servants grasped the railing tightly until her knuckles turned white. She stepped on the first step, and slid her hand up the railing. She picked up the hem of her dress so she didn't trip and fall, still holding onto the railing.

She took another step up the stairs, but was welcomed with a loud bang on the wall upstairs. The bang continued again three more times.

Once Feral was sure the banging had stopped, she took another step forward.

She successfully climbed the stairs, and looked around. She saw that her bedroom door was open, and there was a light emitting from it. She stepped towards it, but the door slammed shut, causing her to flinch.

She swallowed hard, and stepped to the door, all the while watching the flame light flicker under the door. She arrived at the door, and the light went out, forcing the hall into darkness. Feral felt a shiver run down her spine.

She grasped the handle, but quickly retrieved her hand as soon as she heard more heavy footsteps. The heavy footsteps seemed to go all over the room. Once, she heard something hard fall onto the floor, then everything was silent. She debated whether or not to grasp the handle again, until she decided that there was nothing to be afraid of.

She firmly grasped the handle, only to scream and panic once the heavy footsteps continued, at her...charging at her. She quickly drew her hand back as she felt something slam into the door, and fall onto the door.

Feral sighed, and opened the door, her other hand grasping her wand firmly.

The room was dark. She looked around, but saw nothing. She walked in, stepping slowly. Once she was a fair distance from the door, the door slammed shut behind her. She whirled around, but was left alone in darkness. She let a small cry as tears welled up in her eyes.

Once she did so, the lights slowly flickered on. She looked around, and smiled once she saw her husband in their bed. She let go of her wand and took her hand out of her pocket in her robe.

"Had to scare me half to death to get me up here in bed?" she said, sitting on the bed, stroking his arm. She took off her robe, slightly shivering as a cold gust of wind brushed against her bare naked skin. She lay down next to him and threw her arm over his side, and onto his stomach, placing a kiss on his head. "Why don't you turn around and kiss me?" she asked, opening the blankets to turn him around.

She grabbed his body and forced him to turn to her. He turned around, every part of his body, except his head. Feral screamed as she watched her husband's head fall to the floor with a loud thud.

She fell on her back, trying to get untangled by the blankets, tears streaming down her face. She kicked and fought the blankets, but she couldn't get free.

Suddenly, the lights shut off as something fell onto her. She kicked and screamed at whatever was on her. A hand covered her mouth and the lights were on once again.

Feral screamed and fought as hard as she could, but the man laying on top of her would not give in.

"Shut up, woman!" he yelled, getting aggravated by her fighting. "I'm not here to kill you!"

That remark caused Feral to scream and fight harder.

"Unless you want me to kill you!" he bellowed. Feral stopped almost immediately. She didn't want to die! The man sighed. "That's better," he said, gasping for breath. "Now, will you tell me what I need to know?"

She slowly nodded her head, tears streaming down her cheeks. The man smiled a toothy smile, as the lights slowly came on, and Feral gasped and screamed once more. She began kicking him again.

A vampire! How did a vampire get into her room? She didn't want to die! Not by a vampire!

"Stop it woman! Or I'll be forced to kill you! That wouldn't do good for the either of us!" the vampire said, trying to hold her still. He let go of her mouth to hold onto her wrists.

Feral took that chance. "Get off me!" she screamed. "Help! Help!"

The vampire held onto her wrists with one hand and held his other hand on her mouth. "No one can hear you!" he screamed. "Now, shut the hell up before I kill you! And believe me, I'm getting pretty hungry at the moment."

Feral stopped immediately again.

He sighed. "Thank you. Now, where is Hogwarts?"

Feral gasped as he removed his hand from her mouth. "Hogwarts?" she repeated dumbly. "Why do you want Hogwarts?"

"So I can get-my daughter," he said. "I need to know where this Hogwarts is, and I know you'll tell me, Madame LeBouche. Tell me where to find it, and I won't harm your children. Yes, I know your kids, don't look so alarmed. Now, where is Hogwarts? I won't repeat myself."

"It's north of Hogsmeade," she cried. "Please, don't harm my children."

"Where the hell is Hogsmeade?" he bellowed.

"King's Cross Train Station!" she cried, more tears running down her cheeks. "Go to Platform 9¾, between platforms nine and ten, it will take you to where the train is to go to Hogwarts. Although, I doubt it's still there. It left this morning at eleven."

"How am I supposed to find 9¾? Please, enlighten me."

"Run through the wall."

Roi looked at her, knowing that she couldn't be lying since she was in a life-death situation.

"Then tell me, stupid woman, how do I get to Hogwarts without the train?" he asked, irritated. "Which way do I go?"

"North."

He smiled, and nodded. "Thank you." He made to get up, but fell back onto her. "By the way, I was wondering if you've heard of me, not that I'm saying you have, I'm not that famous in England. My name is Roi Charmant. Pleased to meet you."

Feral's eyes widened in fear. Fear, not for her, but for her daughter. She just told him how to get to the one person whom he has been haunting for months!

He sat up again, but fell back down onto her. "You know, you're quite pretty when you're scared," he whispered, brushing her hair out of her face. "May I?" he asked as he got closer to her lips. He gently pressed his lips to hers.

He held onto her cheek, and moved his kissed down to her neck, not getting any response from Feral. It wasn't like he was expecting one or anything...

He smiled his vampire toothy smile. "My, you're warm, Madame LeBouche," he said, placing another kiss to her neck.

Feral gasped as she felt his teeth sinking into her neck. She wrapped her arms around him as it felt like her life was being sucked out of her. She screamed as the pain increased, but soon, didn't have enough energy to even scream.

Her eyes slowly drooped closed, and she went into eternal slumber.

Roi smiled as he picked up his head, licking his lips. He smiled at her lifeless, pale face. "Thank you for the dinner," he whispered, brushing his hands through her hair once more.

He didn't waste another second. He figured that he didn't have all night, and he didn't know how far up north he was meant to go. He jumped off the bed and opened the balcony doors. He smiled into the night as a cold gust of wind blew past him.

He sighed and jumped off the balcony, thus starting his journey to Hogwarts, where he would claim his prize and kill her nosy brother along with it. Which brother was nosy? He didn't know. He didn't really care. Killing them all was good enough for him.

He soon found himself at King's Cross, slipping in and out of the shadows, trying to find platforms nine and ten. He found them with much appreciation, and he ran through the wall, just as the woman told him.

He smiled when he found he wasn't smashed against the wall, and walked to the tracks. He looked north, and quickly ran along the tracks.

He arrived at Hogsmeade station within a few minutes.

He smiled in appreciation once again. He sighed and got off the tracks. "Go speed," he said to himself as he gazed up at the castle that welcomed him a few miles north.
