- I tried. If you would like to review, please try and put it in a kind way. It is very disheartening for me when people try and put it down. I know it is not perfect.
"Get in the boat," hissed Aleka.
"I can't see," Twitch whispered back. Aleka gave Twitch a small push, and he fell into the rowboat with an oomph.
"Ow," Twitch whispered, "You pushed me right onto you bag."
"O well," said Aleka, "We need to get going before anyone wakes up." It was nighttime, and Aleka was heading off to Hogwarts. It had only been the day before when she had received the letter. They were going to row onto land, where they were supposed to meet a guy named Xavier. Aleka had to leave at night so that Captain Weller would not catch her. He would have never let her leave just because some letter came saying they knew about Briar. Briar was Weller's son of course, but she did not want to bring back painful memories for him. Besides, he would only ask what answers were there. He had been killed by enemies like many pirates are. This didn't stop Aleka though. At the name of Briar, her heart did a somersault, and she would do anything just because there was the slightest chance that Briar was alive. Why else would they send her the letter? You could call her crazy or hopeless, but she considered herself as determined.
"Aleka, you know, you are crazy." Twitch said. Aleka giggled. He always pronounced her name like Aluhka, stressing the "Al." Truthfully it was pronounced more like Alayka.
"Thank you for coming Twitch," Aleka said grateful for her companion's presence, "I couldn't have done this without you."
"Well, if I would have known that, I would've stayed so that you wouldn't go through with this crazy plan." Twitch said. Aleka laughed. He was such a great friend.
"I am also so glad that you could be here to help me row," Ginny said playfully, "Now, let's get going." They rowed for about 45 minutes, and then they were at shore.
"What's the guy's name again?" asked Aleka.
"Hello, I am Xavier," a boy to her left said.
"O that's right, hi," she stuck out her hand, as a friendly gesture. He looked at it and turned to Twitch. His bleach blonde hair was neatly combed, and he wore a suit. His pale complexion shone distinctly in the moonlight. Aleka could tell that he was of the uppity type.
"Who is this?" he questioned, "I was told to pick up one person. What do they think I am, a personal valet?"
"Guess so," commented Twitch. Before Xavier could reply, Aleka broke in.
"So, where are we going?" she questioned.
"Platform 9 ¾ at the nearest train station," Xavier replied, still glaring at Twitch. Aleka raised an eyebrow, but she thought best not to question him. She didn't want to seem ignorant, and make a bad impression. Besides, she didn't want to continue further discussion with this boy who seemed to think that the world revolved around him.
"So, I guess we better get a move on," she said.
"We'll go when I say so," Xavier replied, "I am not done with this little twit yet."
"Actually, it's Twitch," replied Twitch, yet again slow to realize what was going on.
"You say another thing about him and I'll kick your ass," said Aleka getting in Xavier's face. She was so close, that he could feel the heat from her breath.
"Right," said Xavier, "And who are you, ninja girl?"
"Actually, it's pirate girl. Now, let's get going," she said. Xavier raised his eyebrows and almost laughed, but judging by her muscular legs, and tight abs (she was wearing a belly shirt) he suspected that she could do some damage. But a pirate?
Chapter 4
Xavier had taken them to the train station, with little talk on the way. Mostly Aleka and Twitch loudly whispered about how they hated stuck up people. When they arrived at the train station, Xavier started in again.
"So you're a pirate. Ha! What the hell do you do, swab the decks and say 'Aye aye?'" he joked.
"You are such an ass. The actual name given to us is pirates. Most people consider us a group of robbers that steal from ships. And no, we don't just sail around; we are well-known for stealing cargo off of other ships, then burning the ships. Sometimes, I'll take a few men prisoner, and have you ever heard of castration?" Xavier gulped. "Our crew is famous for it." Truly, Aleka was "extending the truth" just a bit, but they had done that before. Xavier mustered up his courage.
"You're all talk. I bet you couldn't even kill a pixie." Xavier countered back. He was actually quite strong, but the talk of cutting off a man's prized jewels lessened his courage. Just then they arrived at platform 9 ¾. Aleka watched as a person went straigh through the wall that was there.
"You know what; I am fed up with this," Aleka said, and with one quick motion she knocked Xavier off his feet, while pulling a quick move on him. "I'll see you on the train," she said. She grabbed Twitch's arm, and without thinking, ran straight towards the wall. Moments later, she was amazed to see that she had come out onto the other side. She looked up to see a huge train right to her left. There was a sign that read Hogwarts Express.
"This is it," she told Twitch, "I guess we just get on the train." They walked onto the train. It was bustling with activity. Aleka took a seat near the window.
"What do we do now?" asked Twitch.
"I don't know, just wait," she replied. So they waited on the train until finally it started to move. Aleka opened up Xavier's wallet. She took it from him when she knocked him down. She looked at his id. It said Herman Xavier Malfoy. Herman? He was 16 and he was in something called Slytherin. Right then, Xavier burst into her compartment.
"You think you're so funny. You're lucky my dad forced me to do this, otherwise I would've left you on the side of the road somewhere," he said.
"I am sorry... Herman," she said looking up at him innocently. She widened her eyes to add an extra effect. Twitch started cracking up.
"How the hell did you find that out? My mother named me that. It's in the family line," he said very disgruntled. Aleka tossed him his wallet.
"You should really put that in a safer place," she said, "I just found it on the ground, and me being a nice person and all decided that I would pick it up for you."
"Right," said Xavier. He looked in his wallet. "Give me the rest of my money." Aleka took it in her hand. There were 2 bronze coins. She took them in her hand and slowly raised it up towards the window.
"Oops," she said mockingly as she dropped them out, "There is a mighty wind. Somebody should shut that window."
"Those were my knuts!" exclaimed Xavier.
"O!" Aleka replied, "If I would've known... They fall off so easily these days don't they? So sorry about your nuts." At this point, Twitch was on the floor, rolling with laughter.
"I've had enough with you!" Xavier yelled. "Here is the stuff you will need. I don't care what my dad says. Figure out what to do yourself." Aleka joined in with Twitch's laughter.
"Bye Herman!" she yelled still laughing. Xavier glared at her and slammed the compartment door behind him.
