Learning to Live

After the war, the wizarding world expects life to return to normal. For Aurors Harry Potter, Draco Malfoy, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger-Weasley, however, a normal adult life is something they will have to learn how to have. Yet as they all wearily pick up what remains of their youth, Draco, plagued by nightmares Harry shares, begins to hear voices he cannot ignore. Just who is working against the Aurors, how will the government be healed, and what really happened to Draco in his weeks of torture before the war ended? As Harry races to halt Draco's fall, he will have to learn yet another thing: Dark Lords are not the only sources of evil.

Chapter Two: The four get used to their new surroundings, and Harry and Draco move in together.

Chapter Three: Draco and Harry try to shop normally and buy presents. Two letters come, one of murder accusations, one concerning a job offer. Their sleep is troubled.

Chapter Four: A trip to the office results in new assignments.

Chapter Five: After a trip to Hogwarts where espionage and information is discussed, Harry and Draco decide on a night on the town.

A drunken night and a sweet day at the office.

Confrontation with Darko, gifts purchased, party attended...and we find out what happened to Sirius.

The rest of the party, and trouble at the parade.

Draco and Harry have a talk in the Infirmary, Draco gets lost in Muggle London, meets Colin Creevey, while Harry discusses the future with Lupin.

The trio begin to search for Draco, while we discover the tortures of Draco's mind.

Chapter Eleven: The Trio finds Draco, Lucius' possible innocence is discussed, and Harry and Draco move into Hogwarts.

Chapter 12: Draco and Harry learn of changes at Hogwarts during Yule Feast, Harry is put in his place in Potions, and Draco faces old skeletons in his first class.

Chapter 13: Word of Lucius' innocence reaches the papers, Draco meets a fetching newcomer, and has his first therapy session with Lynch.

Chapter 14: Darko calls for new elections, Draco faints, and

Harry gets to teach, Lupin and Draco have a one-sided venting session, and Harry nearly gets killed by Draco on their broomsticks.

Chapter 16, Itchy Mischief: Another Lynch appointment, Harry has another strange dream, and has a little prank played on him.

Chapter 17: Tricky Maneouvres. Harry and Draco play tricks on one another, Draco goes out on a date and finds out the results of the election.

Chapter 18: Surprising Visit. An attack at the Weasley's, we find out the POW's MoM candidate.

Chapter 19: Tense Trials. Draco is arrested, trialed for assault and murder.

Chapter 20: Confusing Conversations. They return to Hogwarts, Draco gets some medication and Snape assigns Harry a little task.

Chapter 21: Arrested Trails. Harry spies on Draco at Snape's behest, and discovers what happens when Draco doesn't take his medicine. The two visit Lucius at the Ministry after a significant news flash from the Daily Prophet.
