Ginny was slowly slipping out of her deep slumber. Her conscious part of her brain was rapidly overtaking the subconscious part of her brain. Though fully awake, Ginny kept her eyes firmly shut and delighted in the way the bed had molded into a perfect fit to her body. The soft sheets her keeping nice and warm. She took a moment to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Ginny slowly opened her eyes.
Why was she in the hospital wing?
Ginny sat up in bed and blinked several times. This wasn't the fourth year Gryffindor girl's dormitory. Why was she here? She looked around the infirmary for some kind of clue. The only thing unusual was that the hospital wing door was open and swinging lightly on it's hinges.
Making sure that Madam Pomfrey wasn't around Ginny gathered her things and slipped out the door, making her way to the Gryffindor tower. She knew that Madam Pomfrey would have a cow, but staying in the Hospital Wing was not her idea of fun. Plus, she felt fine, better than ever in fact. She felt like she had really gotten a decent night's sleep.
"Thank god for dreamless sleep potion!" Ginny thought to herself.
When she reached the portrait of the Fat lady in the pink dress, Ginny decided the Gryffindor tower wouldn't be a great place to sit and sort her thoughts in peace. Ginny turned and hurriedly walked over to the Library.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat in three beanbag like chairs in Dumbledore's office, waiting for him to enter the room and let them know why he had called them to his office.
They each sat fidgeting with the hems of their robes and their fingernails. Occasionally one would cough or give the slightest sigh.
At the creaking open of the door upstairs all three sat up unbelievably straight. Their Headmaster seemed to float over the stairs while coming down. He quickly took his seat and sat in silence, looking over them all. The three quickly exchanged glances and looked back up at Dumbledore.
He cleared his throat and began,
"I imagine all of you are quite concerned over Miss Ginny Weasley."
All three nodded their heads vigorously.
"Well, I am going to ask you all a favor. I ask you not to mention anything that happened yesterday to Ginny. She will not remember what took place yesterday. You must act normal as if nothing happened yesterday, her life depends on this. You will understand at a later point in time, but right now Ginny must sort everything that is happening in her life on her own. Do you promise not to mention yesterday's events to anyone?"
All three dumbly nodded, the words "her life depends on this" ringing in their ears. Ron seemed to have gone a very pale shade of white; some would say two shades white than chalk. Harry's emerald green eyes seemed to be quite dark and ominous. Hermione's lower lip was viciously getting gnawed at by her upper teeth.
"You may go," Dumbledore said and the three stood up stiffly and walked out of the Headmaster's office.

Ginny sat in alone at a table in the library. The table was isolated and surrounded by bookcases on all sides. It had taken her forever to find it, but it guaranteed her being undisturbed. Ginny spread out her things and looked over each of them to find a clue as to why she was in the hospital wing.
There were 3 books all dealing with her and Malfoy's Muggle Studies project. That meant that she had met with Malfoy yesterday, though she didn't remember it. Yes that had to be true because the magical calendar on the wall next to a bookcase said today was Tuesday, November 7th*. She knew, obviously, that she hadn't met with him this morning and they didn't meet Sundays.
Then Ginny realized she didn't have any other books with her. So then did that mean she didn't go to classes yesterday?
"Think Ginny! Think!" her brain screamed at her.
There were also notes for the project, but that didn't help, she already confirmed to herself that she had gone to meet Malfoy for their project.
"So, if I didn't go to class, but I went to meet Malfoy, does that mean something happened in between them? Or maybe during working with Malfoy?" she asked herself.
She didn't see anything else in her belongings, so the clues stopped there.
"Wait! In the Hospital Wing, the door was open. If I know Madam Pomfrey, she'd freak out if someone could enter and leave without her knowing, so the door was always closed. And when she wasn't there, it was locked. She'd never ever leave it open. Well, at least not at this time at the morning," she thought to herself.
"But that doesn't answer my question as to what happened to me yesterday," Ginny whined to herself.
Ginny put her head down in frustration and defeat. Then snapped her head back up, determined to find out what happened to her. Surely Ron, Harry, and Hermione knew something.
She began to rush out of the library with her things when,
"Excuse me Miss, don't you know running will not be tolerated in the library?" Madam Pince's voice rang out.
Ginny stopped and turned to face the librarian, "Sorry Madam Pince, I was just ---"
"Ginny Weasley!" Madam Pince interrupted, in a voice as if she were... frightened? "Wh-Wh- Why are you out of the Hospital?"
"Aha! She knows something!" Ginny thought to herself.
"I was... um... just going back, just needed a..." Ginny looked around. Well she was in a library, "... book. And about that, you wouldn't happen to know why I was in the Hospital Wing do you?"
Madam Pince looked at her strangely and then said in an odd voice, "You better be heading back to the Hospital Wing, now."
"Yes, but-"
"I said NOW Miss Weasley! GO!"
Ginny scampered off, and figured she would head to the Gryffindor tower. Bu of course on her way she had to meet,
"Ah, Miss Weasley, if I'm not mistaken, you should be in the Infirmary. Allow me to escort you," Professor Snape said in an odd voice. But his odd voice was different than Madam Pince's. While her's had a tone of fear in it, his seemed to have more of an admiration or deep respect. Either way, it set Ginny on edge. But seeing as she couldn't defy a teacher, she followed.

When Ginny had gotten to the Hospital Wing, Madam Pomfrey was waiting at the door and immediately sent off Snape with her thanks and scolded Ginny. It was 4 hours later and Ginny sat in her hospital bed sulking. Madam Pomfrey hadn't listened to her protests and claims of feeling better.
So here she was, sitting in a boring Infirmary. She had spent her first few hours working on the project for Muggle Studies, but felt if she read about any Egyptian Gods and Goddesses one more time she'd have to be shipped off to St. Mungo's.
"I'd probably be put in the same cell as Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom," she mused, then scolded herself, "That was wrong. I shouldn't have even thought that."
She knew about Neville's parents because at the Yule Ball last year, Neville had told her. She was desperate not to dance with him in order to save her feet pain so decided to make conversation. When she asked him whether his parents lived with him and his grandmother or if they traveled or something, he'd gone oddly quiet. He ended up entrusting her with his secret. She could understand why he didn't tell anyone, and felt proud that he had told her. They were friends; while not close, they understood each other. Well he may have told Colin Creevey seeing as they had met and became best friends. Somewhat fitting in Ginny's view seeing as they were both considered kind of annoying by their peers.
Yet, all of this didn't help Ginny come out of her deep mood of boredom.
"Maybe Harry or Ron or Hermione will come and see how I am. Yes, of course they will, I mean they care about me. They'd want to see how I am," Ginny told herself.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat near the fireplace of the Gryffindor common room, arguing in low voices.
"We have to check on her!" Ron said
"Yes, but Dumbledore said we can't tell her anything, she'd want to know what happened!"
And back and forth they went, while Harry sat back. On one hand he did want to see Ginny and see if she was ok. But on the other, she'd want to know what happened. And he didn't know if he could be trusted to lie to her about yesterday, even if was for her own good.

Ginny still sat in the Hospital wing, now quite upset that no one had come to visit her. Anger at Harry, Hermione, and Ron and at the fact that she was virtually imprisoned in this hospital, was slowly building inside her until she couldn't stand it. She saw an empty glass vase for flowers on her night table. On instinct she picked it up and hurled with all her might at the wall. Satisfaction filled her when it shattered into a billion pieces on the floor.
"Wow Weasley, what an arm, what a temper too," a voice a couple beds down drawled.
Startled, Ginny fell off the bed with a small little 'Eep'.
"Yet, your still quite a klutz, I see," the voice which Ginny now recognized drawled.
"Sod off Malfoy!" Ginny exclaimed, as she climbed back into the bed. "I might let it slip about your whereabouts during the beginning of summer..."
Draco's smirk didn't disappear, but instead he said, "I didn't insult you, I only state the truth."
Ginny threw one of her books at him, and he smoothly caught it. He slowly made his way to her bed and placed the book on her night table.
"Look, I know why you came," Ginny said
"You do?" (Unbeknownst to her, he had really come to apologize for what he said yesterday, seeing as it gave her leeway to spill the secret, which would ruin the most important things to a Malfoy, his reputation and pride.)
"Yes, you wanted to make sure I wouldn't slack off while I was in here. You wanted to let me know you wouldn't be doing all the work on this stupid project. I know you Malfoy," Ginny said. (A/N: Just to make sure all of you got this, she doesn't remember a thing that happened yesterday.)
Malfoy took this in, the expressionless look on his face slowly curving into a very self-satisfied smirk. He realized she didn't remember anything that happened yesterday, so the deal was still on.
"Y-es, that is exactly why I came here. Like you said no dumping this project on me. No siree!" he drawled.
"Here, I got bored and began the paper we had to write," she said while handing him her work and at the same time wondering if he had indeed said 'No siree.'
Draco barely glanced at them and said, "Very good. Well must be off now."
"Wait! Do you know what happened to me yesterday?" Ginny asked.
Draco was silent for a moment than said airily, "How should I know? I don't keep tabs with other peoples lives."
"Oh... ok," Ginny said not quite sure whether to believe him. "Well, bye. Oh and be careful don't step on the glass."
"Why'd I say that? What do I care if he steps on the glass?" she thought to herself.
Draco looked at her peculiarly and then pulled out his wand. Ginny watched with curiosity as he pointed his wand to the glass. He muttered a few words and all the glass pieces riased up in the air and turned into liquid state. With a few flicks of his wand, the liquid glass melted together and took the shape of a rose. The rose hardened and Draco snatched it out of the air. Without a word, he laid the glass rose where the vase originally had been and walked out.
Ginny picked up the glass flower, speechless. It was beautiful, and it reminded her of her necklace. Her necklace! Her hand immediately went to her neck to check and make sure it was still there after yesterday's mysterious happenings. She breathed out in relief when she felt it there. She could see it was glowing a dull red, which reminded her of something, but she couldn't place her finger on it.
Ginny turned her attentions back to the glass rose. "It's beautiful," she thought.
She placed it back on her night table and fell back on her bed in happiness. Even if Ron, Harry, and Hermione hadn't visited her, someone had and amazingly Draco Malfoy had made her feel quite happy.
Author's notes:
* I'm not sure if in Ginny's 4th year November 7th was a Tuesday, but in my fic it is.
Oh and even though I didn't mention it in this chapter I came up with a cooler name than the ONE. It will now be referred to as that she is the BELDARAN. I'd change it in the last chapter, but I'm afraid I may lose my reviews and I'm also a bit lazy : D
Ok, so it was really teeny tiny D/G action, but it was a little!
Please Read and Review!
