Author's Note:
Hope you enjoyed! This is only a set-up for the rest of the story. I promise the next chapters will be much more interesting! The popular singing sorceress Celestina Warbeck actually is a character in Harry Potter. (CoS) Oh and I know Ron sounds heartless, He's not, it's just he's a bit negletful now around his sister.

Ginny woke up as the first rays of sunlight entered her room. Sitting up, she yawned and stretched her arms in an attempt to wake her-self up completely. Ginny blinked a couple of times and then looked around her room. The sun was pouring in steadily and filled her small, yet cozy, room.

"Good to be home!" Ginny said a loud.

Today was the first day she woke up in her bed after her hectic school year. No one knew, but Ginny had been eavesdropping outside the door where Harry was in his hospital bed, after the dreadful day of Cedric's death, surrounded by Ron, Hermione, Dumbledore, Snape, her mom, and Sirius Black. Sirius Black, the man who she had thought an escaped convict, who she thought had tried to kill her brother and Harry, was actually his godfather and innocent. Ginny felt happy for Harry to finally have family, but this news angered her too. It angered her because Ron, Hermione, and Harry never told her. They knew she could be trusted, yet they didn't tell her.

Of course she didn't expect them to come up to her and just blurt it out, but she remembered overhearing them talking about someone called Snuffles. She asked curiously who Snuffles was, Ginny was quite nosy sometimes, and she knew that. They all just got a look of uneasiness on their faces and exchanged looks. Ron broke the silence:

"No one, Ginny," he said hurriedly. He turned to the other two and said, "Hey, we best be getting to class, or we'll be late!" and with that they all turn and rushed off to who knows where.

This wasn't when reality hit her though. Ginny found out everything when she listened through that hospital door. Voldemort's rising power, who Sirius Black actually was, and all the other things the Trio shared amongst themselves, never thinking about filling in Ginny. They told her mum, but not her. That was when she realized her best friend and brother growing up had left her in the dust, alone, for his new friends. All three years Ginny went to Hogwarts she knew in the back of her mind that Ron no longer looked at her like a best friend, she was now the annoying little sister, who had a crush on his best friend. She could understand Harry and Hermione not telling her, but she thought Ron would at least have told her something.

She should've realized it on her twelfth birthday. That June, he got her the most horrible thing for a present. She remembered tearing off the newspaper it was wrapped in, to have a blue book fall on her lap. Picking it up, she looked for a title, she thought maybe he'd gotten her the next book in her favorite series. But no, on the cover in gold, cursive writing it said,

"Diary"

How could he, after all she went through in first year, HOW COULD HE? Ginny made herself believe he had been quite sincere with his gift and that he was actually trying to help her get over that ordeal. She smiled widely and thanked him. He casually said, "Anything for you, Gin!" and grinned.

For a brief moment she actually did believe he still thought of her as a friend. Then he had to go and ruin it.

"Hey Gin, since the party's over I'm going out to play Quidditch with Dad, Bill, Charlie, and the twins," he said it like that was the normal thing to do after your sister just opened her last gift. "You can come too if you want," he added as he began to walk out. They hadn't even had cake yet. Some how she wasn't mad at her dad or the rest of her brothers, only Ron. Maybe it was because he used to stay by her side until she fell asleep, and now he didn't.

"No, that'd make it an odd amount, I think I'll go begin to write in my new..... diary," she told him with a fake smile plastered on her face. She had practically choked on the word diary; he hadn't noticed. "OK, glad you like your present!" he said as he ran out the door.

She'd burned the diary. She didn't care that it was throwing out fourteen sickles (he'd left the price tag on it), she had to get rid of it. She suspected her mother knew, but didn't touch upon the subject, to Ginny's relief.

When she found out everything the last day of her third year, his fourth, she couldn't take it any more. She avoided him like the plague because she knew she'd break down and cry if she was around him too long. From what she could tell, he hadn't noticed.

Now quite upset, Ginny got out of bed and hopped in the shower. After she got out, she looked at her robes and picked a nice amber one that went with her eyes. She walked out of her room and went down the stairs where she could smell pancakes. She forgot her anger at Ron and followed the scent of the pancakes, her absolute favorite.

"Maybe a day of window shopping at Diagon Alley will lift my spirits," she thought as she put the last bit of pancake in her mouth.

"Hey mom, I'm going to Diagon Alley to do a bit of window shopping, k?"

"Sure honey! You know, I think Ron said that's where he'd be, something about getting an autograph for Hermione," her mother called from the kitchen.

"Great..." Ginny muttered. Though she asked, "Really, whose autograph?"

If it was someone famous, she might as well go even, if she might run into Ron.

"Oh dear... er, a Christina, was it Christina? Erm, I think it was a Christina Warbler or something. I believe she sings..."

Ginny's heart stopped for a second. "Do you mean Celestina Warbeck? The popular singing sorceress? She's here? In England? Really? Oh my God, I have to make myself look more decent than this! Oh my Lord, I might meet Celestina!!!!!!!!!!!" Ginny squealed and scampered up the stairs, all thoughts of Ron flying out of her mind.

Molly Weasley shook her head good-naturedly. "Goodness, the children of today, all excited over some singer!" she muttered to herself. She smiled and remembered herself around Ginny's age, talking about Rex Mitchelson, the popular singer of her times, with her best friend Elaine Birch. "Must give her a call one of these days," she said to herself.

Ginny was skipping down Diagon Alley humming her own little tune. "La, la I'm going to meet Celestina Warbeck, hmm-mmmm-mmm!!"

Suddenly, the sound of Ginny's favorite song reached her ears, The Bewitching Hour.

"She's doing a concert too?" Ginny wondered, happier than before. Suddenly, she felt slightly nauseated, "Do we have to pay? I didn't think of that...."

She looked around and saw a sign that said:

CELESINA WARBECK

Now quite content, Ginny joined the throng of people in front of the stage where Celestina was, dancing to the music. After about six songs had gone by, Ginny's stomach gave a huge rumble.

"Time for some lunch," Ginny said to herself and began to head to the 'Comet Café' when she bumped into someone with a hood covering its face, knocking them both down.

Ginny looked up and saw that due to the fall the hood had fallen, and there sat before her a pale, blonde boy. The boy quickly tried to lift the hood again, but it was too late, Ginny recognized him as the one and only:

"Malfoy?! What are you doing-- Oh my gosh, don't tell me your hear to see Celestina Warbeck!" she said, flabbergasted. Ginny began to laugh so hard she couldn't get off the floor. "I -- can't be -- b - bb -- believe it! This -- is -- priceless!" she said through her laughter.

"Shut up! Come!" he said his hood up once more, dragging her to this dark, little alley between two stores.

Once in, he pushed her up against a wall, and said, "Don't you ever, mention this to anyone! You'll be sorry if you do!"

Now quite amused, Ginny said, "You know, your not so intimidating after you've been spotted listening to Celestina Warbeck. Who knew Draco Malfoy had a 'feminine' side to him?" she smirked; though it was a cute smirk, quite unlike Draco's trademark one.

"Shut up, you prat!!! Look what will it take you to stay silent?" he asked.

"Let's see, you could be my personal 'maid' or--" she teased.

"Be serious, you git!!!" he roared, quite frustrated now.

"Fine, fine! Well, for my silence, I want...... I want you to stop insulting my family's financial situation and me," she said wistfully.

"So for you to never mention this to anyone, I have to stop insulting you and your family being poor? What about your brother, can I insult him still?" he asked.

"Go ahead! In fact insult him twice as much to make up for me. He's not off limits," she practically spat.

"Really........ Ok, this is a fair deal," he consented.

As he walked away, Ginny's curiosity got the best of her,

"You really do like Celestina Warbeck?" she asked, trying to stifle her giggles.

He turned to look at her, and said, "She's not bad."

Ginny could almost hear him smiling. He left quickly, back into the crowd of fans.

Ginny looked in the direction he had left and giggled non-stop.

"I can't believe it....."

Her stomach growling reminded her that she was hungry and she set off to the 'Comet Café' for some food.
