I know I said it would take 4-5 days, but I'm still so happy about our big win, that I decided to update earlier. Oh, wing0, if the 'Lucy' part was your favorite, your going to really like this chapter!

She's a Rebel

"Christ! It's time to get up!" Aunt Minerva yelled up the stairs the next morning.

"Need...more...sleep," Christ moaned into her pillow.

"It's time to shop!" her aunt yelled.

"I'm up!" Christ yelled down the stairs, running into the bathroom to brush her teeth.

"Don't you want any breakfast?" her aunt asked, standing by the bathroom door, looking amused.

"Shop now, eat later," Christ said, still more than a little sleepy. She then rushed from her room, thanking God that she had already painted her nails acid green, as specified.

When she came down later, in black jeans and a t-shirt, her aunt just stared.

"Sorry," Christ said, grinning. "Lily said that she wanted me to make James and Sirius think that they are spending the day with a total Slytherin."

"When did you meet Lily?" Aunt Minerva asked.

"At Megan's family get-together. Apparently they're cousins," Christ said, shrugging. There was a knock on the door.

"The Potters are here," a house elf announced, walking into the room, followed by four people.

Minerva decided to play along with her niece for the time being. "Christ," she said. "This is Thomas Potter, Vivien Potter, their son, James, and his friend Sirius Black."

"Pleasure," Christ drawled, not moving to shake hands.

"Be nice," her aunt scolded. Rolling her eyes, Christ did.

Everyone but Minerva flooed to the Leaky Cauldron. "Do you think there is any chance I might meet Lily here?" James asked Sirius.

"I bet there's a bigger chance that you will today than there would have been yesterday," Christ said, looking bored.

"Oh really, and why is that? Are you stalking her or something?" James asked, fighting to be nice.

"Second question: of course not. First question: because you are actually here today," Christ smirked. She followed Mr. and Mrs. Potter out the door. After they had tapped the bricks, they entered Diagon Alley. They quickly made there way over to Gringotts.

Christ handed the goblin the key her father had given her. "The family vault, please," she said to the goblin.

"Of course, Miss Reynolds," the goblin said. It took Christ and Mr. Potter down to their vaults, leaving James and Sirius to whisper among themselves.

"So she's a Reynolds?" James asked.

"Apparently, which would explain the Slytherin look," Sirius said, shrugging. Just then, Lily came in. James went off to drool over her.

Christ looked around as soon as she got out of the cart when they were back at the top. It had been even better than a roller coaster, especially since they had to go all the way to the bottom to get to her vault. She saw Lily trying to ignore James. Quickly, she wrote a short note, telling Lily to meet her at the Leaky Cauldron at 2. She then hurried over.

"Please tell me it's time to go," Christ drawled, glancing around. James looked irritated. Lily was trying hard not to laugh.

"Christ, this is Lily," Sirius said, having had more manners forced into him than James had.

"Pleasure," Christ drawled for the second time that day. Lily nodded briefly, pretending not to care. Pretending to be exasperated, Christ reached out a hand. When Lily shook it, she gave her the note. Before Lily could read it, though, it was time for them to leave.

They went just about everywhere in Diagon Alley. Christ was just glad she hadn't seen any of her family. That, however, was about to change.

"Well, well. If it isn't my little cousin. Mother told me you would be at Hogwarts. It's sad to see that you couldn't find better escorts," a voice said as the group came out of Madame Malkins.

"Lucy, I don't want to go through this again. We both know what's going to happen. You're going to tell me I'm a mudblood lover. I'm going to tell you damn straight. You're going to tell me I'm the worst kind of traitor. I'm going to tell you that at least I don't switch sides depending on whose winning at the time. You're going to tell me I'm a blood traitor. I'm going to tell you I don't have a single friend without blood, which is something you have yet to figure out. Why don't we save us both the time and you the embarrassment, and you quit while your behind?"

"Excuse me, cousin," Lucius drawled. "If your so above me, why don't you just change forms? That's what you usually do."

"It won't work. You are royally pissing me off, so it won't stick. Now, I know this is hard for your little Slytherin brain to comprehend but Shut. Up. Nobody cares what you have to say, and I'm sure you're going to say all of it quite often when we get to Hogwarts. Will you please just quit while your losing, before you start losing even bigger?"

"I'm not losing," Lucius sneered.

"Well, there is only winning and losing, and you, Lucy dear, most certainly aren't winning. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to meet my coconspirator in the Leaky Cauldron. In fact, I'm already late. Bad day!" Christ walked away, leaving James, Sirius, Lucius, and Mr. and Mrs. Potter staring after her.

Christ stalked off to the Leaky Cauldron, not caring if the rest were following her or not. She spotted Lily at one of the tables.

"Sorry I'm late," she apologized, dropping into one of the chairs. "I ran into my idiot cousin, so now they know it was a prank, I think. Either they know or they're stupider than anyone gives them credit for."

"Oh, it's probably the second one," Lily said, smiling a little.

A guy from a nearby table walked over. "Can you tell me if beauty equals brains?" he asked, clearly thinking he was clever. Lily ignored him, but Christ said, "Clearly it does, because you have neither. Bye-bye." With that, she turned to talk to Lily again. The man, however persisted. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"

"Yes, bruised my ass quite a bit, now LEAVE!" Christ said.

"What if I don't want to?" the guy asked pulling out a chair and looking quite prepared to stay there forever and eternity. Just then, Lucius walked in the door.

"Lucius!" Christ called to the blonde. He glanced over. "Will you please help, big brother. This guy won't leave us alone!"

Lucius strode over to the table. "Is this true?" he asked, towering over the man.

"N-no, s-sir," the man stuttered. He ran off.

"Thanks, 'big brother'," Christ said, smirking.

"Any time." With that, Lucius turned and left.

"What was that all about?" Lily asked, shocked.

"The Reynolds Family Rules," Christ answered, shrugging.

"Just what are they?" Lily asked.

"These rules, actually set in a magical stone somewhere, are Reynolds codes of conduct. One of them says that you must always be polite to strangers. One says that you will not embarrass the Reynolds name, which is a really broad rule. One just happens to say that Reynolds-by-blood will protect other Reynolds-by-blood, up to dying for them and killing for them. Apparently at some point, some ancestors were marrying really abusive people. It is actually legal to kill because of that stone, because it's not something we can help, it actually makes us act that way." By that point, the guy had come back.

"Well, now that your body guard has left," he said, sitting back down.

"I should warn you that our boyfriends are coming back," Christ said, glancing at the door. Lily glanced over, too. Sirius and James had just walked in.

By this point, Lily had recognized the guy. He was a Slytherin, a year younger than they were. Lily waved James and Sirius over.

"About time you got back," Christ sighed, like they had been waiting there for a while. Sirius sat down, and Christ promptly moved to his lap. Sirius gave her a look. Christ just giggled, and then leaned over to whisper in his ear, explaining the situation.

"Are you going to sit down or what?" Lily asked James. James looked confused for a second, then seemed to make up his mind and sat down. Lily, who seemed to be facing an internal battle, finally climbed onto James's lap.

"So your telling me that you three, some of Gryffindor's golden fools, are friends with a Malfoy?" the Slytherin asked.

"Of course," James nodded. He figured Sirius would have answered, but he had his tongue down Christ's throat, and vice versa.

"You know Lucius is going to kill you, don't you?" the boy asked, seeming quite pleased by the prospect.

"No, he won't, not unless I tell him to," Christ said, finally coming up for air. "Have you ever heard of the Reynolds Family Rules?" When the boy looked clueless, she told him exactly what they were. "One says that we must be polite to strangers until given a suitable reason not to be. Another says that Reynolds-by-blood will defend Reynolds-by-blood up to and including death or killing someone. A third says that they can't insult a chosen partner unless given a reason, such as a prank," she said, glaring at Sirius when she said that last part. She had only known him one day, and already knew about all the pranks he had helped pull.

"So your not a Malfoy?" the boy asked, looking confused.

"Course not," Christ said, smirking. "Thank God. I'm a Reynolds, which really isn't much better. My aunt is a Malfoy."

The boy sighed and walked off. He didn't want to face the wrath of all those people. He knew exactly what Malfoy, Potter, and Black were capable of.

"You realize what that means, don't you?" Christ said, sliding off of Sirius's lap. Lily had vacated James's the second the boy left.

"What does it mean?" James said, still in awe that Lily had willingly touched him.

"It means that any time I'm around you, you can't attack Lucius first. You have to wait until he attacks you. Otherwise, I have to defend him, even if I think he's wrong," Christ said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Anyway, you will have to behave, because as much as you won't like to admit it, I can probably kick your butt." She grinned, and batted her eyelashes at the boys.

Please tell me what you like and what you didn't. Most of the fic is already written, but it;s not like it's set in stone. It's not even actually written down. If my computer ever crashes, I don't know what I'll do. Anyway, I'll try to work likes in and dislikes out, but you'll have to review and tell me!
