Hehe...the present, a glorious thing.

It's Just Something That We Do

"You fall, you get up, you wipe yourself off, and you get over it."

~Err...I really don't know.

"Mistakes are common, unfortunately, learning from them isn't."

~Heck, I don't know, I think I just pull these things out of my head.

"Harry," Pansy gasped, pulling away from him and the memories. "We can't do this, not again."

Harry still clung to Pansy and not listening to her reached over and pulled her to him again.

"Harry," she said, tearing away a moment later. "You won't be able to forgive yourself if this goes any farther because now Ginny does exist." Harry pulled back abruptly at her words and wiped his had across the back of his mouth.

"Damnit!" he cursed standing up off the couch and pacing back and forth. "I'm so screwed...why Harry?" he said, talking to himself.

"Harry," she said, standing and making him hold still. "Harry, stop it. Don't punish yourself for this."

"Pansy, I kissed you!" he said, looking wildly at her. "I'm completely in love with Ginny and I kissed you!"

"Listen to what you just said; you're completely in love with Ginny Weasley. It doesn't matter if you kissed me, Harry, as long as those feelings are still there. Harry, you love Ginny so much nothing can tear you away from her. You feel guilty because you kissed me while in a relationship with a girl you're not even married to! That's what you stupid Gryffindor's are all about; that love you have for one single person. Don't feel guilty, Harry, because you just proved to yourself that you're ready."

"Ready for what?" he asked, furious with himself. Potter, he scolded himself, you're so stupid! How can you make the same mistake twice? And this time it was even more of a mistake!

"You're ready to ask that crazy girl to marry you, Harry." She smirked. "Because now you know that no matter what happens you'll always be true to her and you'll always love her. You can't fall out of love, Harry, if it's real. What you and Ginny have, it's real," she said.

"And kissing you proved I'm ready?!"

"Harry, if good old Slytherin charm can't bring down then nothing can. You've known you were ready for a long time; you just needed that last test. You passed, Harry, with flying colors. Because you're devotion to her surpasses everything else. The love you have for her, it will never fade, because I know you, and you won't let it. Harry, don't blame yourself for this, it wasn't such a bad thing."

"You're right. I love Ginny; I'd do anything for her. And I won't let anything stand in the way."

"Of course I'm right, I'm me," she said watching him laugh through his tears. "Now, go and get yourself a bride."

"Thank you, Pansy," Harry said. He bent down and kissed her on the cheek and then headed towards the door. "By the way," he said, turning back around before he left. "I forgot to tell you something."

"What, Harry?"

"He's not dead. The reason he didn't come back was because he knew about that night and...and he felt he couldn't...compete with me. Goodnight, Pansy." Harry went out the door and closed it quickly before the words registered.

"Not dead?" she asked flinging the door open before he could Apparate.

"No, I spoke with him before I came here."

"Well, where is he?" she asked trying not to show emotion.

"I don't know," Harry said honestly. "I just thought I should tell you."

"Thank you, Harry. Goodnight," she called to him as he Apparated.

"Not dead?!" she screeched after she closed the door. "You...you son of a bitch; I'll kill you, Malfoy!" Breaking into tears Pansy sunk into the couch and got lost in more memories.

Author notes: I know you all hated me after leaving you that way. But I couldn't help myself! Anyway, I know that chapter was short, but I kind of lost my spark halfway through, my bad.

Chapter 12~ What happened after the "cloaked figure" stormed out of the office?
