Chapter 3: Does this mean I'm forgiven?

"Tell me about him again," pleaded Bella, a Muggle friend of Ginny's at her friend's sleepover.

"Who, my dad?" asked the youngest Weasley.

"No, Harry!" yelled Anne-Marie, together with Lizzie and Hannah, Ginny's other Muggle friends that she met on a Muggle holiday with her Muggle mad father.

"Well," giggled Ginny as her friends leaned closer, "Harry's got jet black hair, emerald green eyes and he's a great kisser. Oh, and he's the best-looking boy at my school- Hogwarts, and he's famous for defeating this evil dark lord at 6 months old.

"Is someone boasting? Cute celebrities are in Ginny; you'd better keep Harry. Watch out world!" joked Bella," But why did you break up?"

"I told you already," groaned Ginny, "he didn't want me to get hurt by that evil lord."

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" sighed the girls.

The doorbell went, loudly interrupting the conversation of the girls.

"Ginny, there's someone at the door for you," yelled Anne-Marie's mother.

"Probably my over-protective brother or my father," grumbled Ginny.

However, Ginny nearly fainted with shock when she saw Harry grinning down at her.

"Hi," she whispered softly.

"Hi Ginny."

"Um, come and meet my friends," Ginny stuttered.

He offered his warm, rough hand out to her smaller one, and produced a single red rose to match her hair, which was tied back in a gold hair tie.

"Oh, Harry," Ginny said, lost for words, "It's beautiful!"

"Not as beautiful as you." he told her.

"But Harry, you said we can't be together," Ginny said, confused.

"Ginevra Molly Weasley, I love you. I've always loved you; I've just been too stupid too realise. I don't care about Voldermort or his dark Death Eaters. I care about you and what you want. I hope one day you'll forgive me for the hurt I caused you. I was moping about Dumbledore and Sirius and I discovered you were the only one who could make me truly happy."

Ginny flung her arms around Harry, happy he wanted her back.

"Does this mean I'm forgiven?" Harry asked cheekily.

"Certainly, Mr Potter, if you've learned your lesson." Ginny whispered and got a passionate kiss from Harry as a response. Ginny melted into his outstretched arms, and kissed Harry back, until the door to Anne-Marie's bedroom was flung open, and Bella, Lizzie and Anne-Marie tumbled out.

"What are you doing?" Ginny shouted, angry that they had been eavesdropping on her and Harry.

"Um, we were just eavesdropping on you" Hannah muttered apologetically.

The girls burst into uncontrollable giggles as Ginny and Harry blushed scarlet.

"Sorry about my friends," Ginny grumbled over the giggling, "I think Parvati and Lavender would get on with them very well."

"Ginny, would it be alright if I take you back to Luna's house tonight, or do you want to stay here? I've got my broomstick outside. Hermione charmed it to be invisible."

"Actually, you've been the topic all night. I think it'll be alright."

Ginny said goodbye to her friends, and promised to send them a letter.

Then Harry and Ginny sped off on Harry's Firebolt, and flew to Luna's house, the Cork Bin, in silence until they caught sight of Luna, Ron, Fred, and George (who had apparated to Luna's) playing Quidditch outside, in the dark. The players didn't notice Ginny and Harry until Fred wolf-whistled at them.

"Ron, I think we've got a future brother-in-law here." George yelled to his brother across the pitch and indicating to Harry and Ginny, who were wrapped around each other so tightly you didn't know whose arms were whose.

"Harry, how dare you date my sister," Ron roared at his best friend.

"We haven't gotten nearly as close as you did with Lavender, and anyway, I'm your best friend. I wouldn't hurt her, would I? I bet you'd prefer I was your sister's boyfriend rather then say... Malfoy?" Harry reasoned, making Ron blush at the thought of him and Lavender.

"Let's celebrate good friends," Luna said, out of the blue. "And anyway, Ron and I have something to tell you all."
