Author's Notes:

There's no sense in this story, really. I just realised that myself. Why do people read this? Maybe I have succeeded in something at least.

Warning: To disappoint all people reading this story, there will not be any sex scenes(they are not even approved at FA) or something like that. I don't feel comfortable at writing sex scenes, but don't worry, there will be some romance at least or so I hope.

I don't know how this story will end. I could end up writing an end like: ...then the Earth exploded and humankind was wiped away to the eternity(just kidding;)).

I'm sure many of you will think that I am a complete fool or something, but I just say in my defence that I have not a one romantic bone in my body, so don't wait anything earth shattering experience or something like that.

I just want to say that I had fun writing this story, but I will happy to leave it behind me. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate this, I just can't imagine how I would continue this anymore.

I'm not really that good writer at all.

~Chapter Eight~

~Confessions~

Draco paced nervously in his dorm.

"You ready, mate?" Blaise asked, sitting on his bed and reading Witch Weekly.

"No, I have to do my hair again. It looks awful!" Draco grabbed his hairbrush.

"Draco!" Blaise jumped off the bed and yanked the brush away from Draco's hand. "Don't touch your hair. It looks perfect. Just get out of here and shag the little prat senseless," Blaise added with a devilish smirk.

"Blaise!" Draco smacked his friend.

"What? That is what you are planning to do, isn't it?" Blaise rubbed his sore arm.

Draco glared at him, leaving the dorm.

"Don't forget to use protection!"

Draco was sure that the whole of Slytherin house heard what Blaise shouted. Sheepishly, but not showing it, he walked through the common room.

It really didn't matter that they already thought he was sleeping with a half of the students of Hogwarts, but it was still rather embarrassing.

Draco stood by the lake, glancing his watch every few seconds. 'It should be here by now,' he thought, looking at the forest.

"Hey," a soft voice said behind him.

Draco had been waiting on his surprise so anxiously that he hadn't heard Harry's approach.

"Hey to yourself." He smiled, pecking Harry's cheek.

"Wow, what was that for?" Harry asked, curious about Draco's sudden change of heart.

Draco just smiled mysteriously, glancing at the forest once more. "Come, it's time." He took Harry's hand, leading him toward the edge of the forest. "Close your eyes," he ordered softly.

Harry obeyed, excited about what Draco wanted to show him.

Draco took hold of both his hands and slowly they walked forward. "Watch your step," Draco said, guiding him onto something which seemed to be floating on water.

Draco whispered something under his breath. "Now open your eyes."

Harry opened them slowly and was amazed by what he saw.

They were on what seemed to be a giant wooden swan.

"Draco, what is this?" he asked in astonishment.

"This is a place where the bet will end tonight," Draco said, walking towards a trap door on the swan's back. "Come, let's get inside. It's freezing out here."

"But won't people get curious about why there's a big swan in the middle of the lake?" Harry asked as he followed Draco down inside the swan.

"They won't see it so they won't become curious about anything. Are you hungry?" Draco asked.

"Yeah, I guess so," Harry answered, still a little confused about the whole situation, as he looked around the room they were in.

The inside of the swan was decorated completely with different shades of red. It was a lot bigger than it looked from the outside, but that was to be expected. The ceiling was like the night sky, covered by tiny, sparkling lights.

"This is amazing. How-- and why?"

Draco stared Harry in the eye. "I finally realised something that I was too blind to see before. You were right, Harry," Draco said, intentionally leaving his sentence unfinished.

"I was right?" Harry looked puzzled.

"You were right, Harry, when you said that I was in denial. I was fighting for naught." Draco took Harry's hands into his own. "Harry," he paused, looking down at their joined hands, "will you forgive me?" he asked, lifting his gaze to Harry's face.

"What ever for?"

Draco looked away. "Because I pushed you away."

"If you are talking about the accident--"

"No, I'm not talking about that." Draco looked sharply back at Harry, searching his eyes for something and seemed to find it because he smiled slightly.

Harry hadn't ever seen him smile like that. There was warmth and hint of playfulness in his eyes.

"I'm talking about the night we kissed for the first time," Draco said, and at that moment rain started to pour down on them. Harry glanced upwards, smiling, obviously the ceiling wasn't a normal one after all.

Draco took a step forward, bringing them nose to nose with each other. "Can I kiss you, Harry?"

Harry didn't answer with words, he answered by sealing their mouths together.

The dinner lay forgotten on the table nearby, getting cold.
