- OK!! I'm really lousy at this, aren't I? Then please flame and complain! I can't figure these things out for myself. Well, as I promised (I double checked to make sure they DID come now) Cecilia is kidnapped and she obsesses about her period, and she hints some 'bout Neville's importance (he appears to much in the books and has to miserable a life to not be important). ENJOY!
Chapter Six.
'Well, this is embarrassing,' she said blushing. Draco stood still his fist still in the air, he too was blushing. 'Uh, come on in,' she said, moving from the doorway, allowing him to enter.
'Uh, thanks,' he said stepping into the room lowering his fist. Brenda looked up at both of them but didn't say anything.
'Would you like to sit down?' Cecilia asked after several minutes of embarrassed silence.
'Uh, yeah. Thanks,' he answered, hesitantly sitting down on Hermsy's bed.
'So ... what can I help you with?' Cecilia asked, still feeling terribly awkward. "I can't believe he heard me call him cute! Oh my god! What's he gonna think of me now?" she thought. Draco cleared his throat a couple of times. "Does she really think I'm cute? Or was it some kind of joke?" he thought as he played with the parchment he had in his hand.
'Uh, yeah,' he said, suddenly remembering why he was there.' I found this stuff in the library,' he said handing her the parchment he had been playing with. She looked it over with interest.' I copied it from one of the books. It's the only book in the whole library that mentions them. Well, at least in the books that aren't in the restricted section,' he added, rather hesitantly. She looked it over.
'So, Candor and Ingenuita are husband and wife,' she said softly.
'And grandparents of Gryffindor and Slytherin,' he added. They both thought for a couple of minutes. Cecilia read on.
'They did a charm on themselves so that they could be brought back to life, but it didn't work. Instead of doing that it made a couple of kids be born with their spirit and powers inside them.' She looked up at Draco. 'Know what that means?' she asked him. He shook his head. 'That almost any time they want they can take possession of our bodies and do whatever they want.' She shuddered slightly at the thought. Draco looked thoughtful.
'Could they,' he paused and took a deep breath. 'Could they also speak into our ... minds?' he asked. She looked at him surprised.
'You too?' she asked. Now it was Draco's turn to look surprised, but he just nodded. 'Wow. This is quite dangerous, you know,' said Cecilia.
'Really!? No shit,' said Brenda ironically. Both turned to look at her menacingly. She looked up at them. 'What? I just want to know how to get to the Common Room of Slytherin to visit Laura. It's been almost a month since I've last seen her.' So Draco turned to her and told her in lots of detail how to get to the Common Room and opened the door to let her out. When the door shut, Cecilia heard the voice again in her head. "My turn, Darling," it said gleefully.
'No,' said Cecilia right before she felt as if her hands and legs where tied
and she couldn't do anything at all to stop Ingenuita from taking over.
Draco heard Cecilia firmly say "No" and turned around startled, just in time to catch her fighting look before her face became completely passive. She walked towards him, in a strange way, very much unlike her own.
'Cecilia?' he asked, doubtfully.
'Oh, Candor, don't be afraid,' she said sweetly in a voice very unlike her own. 'It's me, sweetie.' Draco looked at her blankly as she walked towards him with her arms outstretched. When she reached him she started to unbutton his robes off. That made Draco react and take an alarmed step backwards pushing her away. Cecilia folded her arms and pouted, looking awfully sweet. Thankfully, just then, Hermsy came in.
'Hermsy, be careful. It's Ingenuita,' he warned her, trying to hide her behind him. Hermsy, looking confused ducked behind him. All of the sudden, Ingenuita uncrossed her arms, looking at Hermsy. The strangeness left her face, and she looked and acted more like Cecilia.
'What's wrong, Hermsy?' she asked in Cecilia's voice. 'You trying to take Candor away from me?' she asked accusingly. Hermsy shook her head no.
Cecilia smiled a sickly sweet smile. 'Course not. Cause he loves me too much, right, baby?' she asked turning to Draco. He looked at her confused.
Cecilia hit her head with her hand. 'Ouch! Sorry, guys. Thought Candor was around,' she said smiling shyly at the floor and rubbing her head where she had just hit it. 'Didn't realize it was just Draco here I was talking to. Really, I'm sorry. I get kinda crazy when I'm with him,' she sighed.
'You really love him, don't you?' Hermsy asked Cecilia. Cecilia, -I mean Ingenuita- smiled sadly.
'Yeah, I guess I do,' she said softly. She turned once again to Draco,
'Please do tell him that for me,' she pleaded. He nodded. She smiled again.
'Thanks,' and with that she fainted, and a second later Cecilia got up grumbling about trouble-making girlfriends and guys who are always late and jerks who hit themselves for it whilst she rubbed her head where Ingenuita hit herself.
'Now, you can't say that wasn't interesting,' said Hermsy. Cecilia looked at her skeptically. 'Just a comment.' Hermsy added quickly. Cecilia looked at her disgustingly.
'I'm going to have a nice warm bath,' she said. 'You go on and check on Harry,' she added pointing at Draco, who pouted, imitating Ingenuita.
'What, you mean only Hermsy gets to take a bath with you?' he asked mockingly. Both girls looked at him shocked.
'That's it,' Hermsy said. 'I'm outta here!' and she stormed out of the room. Draco watched her leave with a big goofy grin on his face. He closed the door behind her and locked the door, but since Cecilia was turned, she missed that slight detail.
'Alone at last,' came a grave voice from behind her. She turned around disbelieving. Draco approached with slow firm steps.
'Oh, you guys suck at timing!' was all she yelled before slapping Draco across the face. And real hard too.
'Hey, hey, hey!! Easy, tiger, easy!' Draco said holding her hands and looking at her with shock. 'Are you ok?' he asked concern in his pale-gray eyes. Oh, how she longed him to hold her, but not while he was Candor, when he was Draco.
'Oh, Candor, just go away,' she said tearfully. Draco looked at her.
'Ingenuita? Not you again!' he said. Cecilia looked straight into his eyes and sighed with relief.
'Oh my god! You're back!' she said jumping up and throwing her arms around his neck. An awkward second or two passed before Draco reacted, putting his arms around her to comfort her. 'This is a living hell,' he said, sighing deeply. Cecilia's body tensed and she slipped away from him. Draco looked at her, seeming so small and hurt. It was probably harder on her than it was on him. He put his hand to his cheek. 'Ow,' he said as he rubbed it. Cecilia giggled slightly.
'Sorry, Candor got into you and I was so frustrated, I slapped you. I guess I slapped you a little harder than intended,' she said laughing at the look on his face. OK now, enough of chatting, out you go, I've gotta take a bath,' she said as she went to the door, only to find it locked. 'What the heck?' she murmured. She turned to Draco angrily. 'Look, I've had enough of this crap, now open that door before I get truly angry,' she said looking at him with her hands on her hips and her lips drawn in a thin line. Draco shuddered involuntarily, walking to the door and unlocking it with a wave of his wand.
'See you later,' he said as he stepped out.
'Yeah, sure,' she said as she shut the door behind him, and went fuming to
the bathroom.
'Sheesh!' Draco said to Ron and Harry, who were sitting around the fireplace with mugs full of hot cocoa and a marshmallow. 'It's not as if I did anything to her. As far as I could see, she and I had all our clothes on, where as, when she changed personality she kept throwing herself at me, trying to take my clothes off ... I should have let her, shouldn't I?' he asked Harry and Ron, who nodded, grinning maliciously. They believed what Draco said because Hermsy had run down there and briefed them on to what had happened in the girls' room.
'She may not be a wizard but you've gotta admit she's quite a chick,' Ron pointed out.
'And also she's real fun to be with ...' Harry suggested. Both were grinning as if they were the twins and were trying to lure you into eating Canary Creams. Just then, Cecilia came down from her room, her hair freshly washed and smelling heavily of apples.
'Hey, guys,' she said almost gloomily and sat down on a nearby chair.
'Hey,' they replied, not knowing what's supposed to be said to comfort someone who had just been possessed. She looked sadly at their mugs.
'Could I have one of those?' she asked them, sounding depressed. 'I may leave sooner or later now that Laura's OK and I don't wanna leave without trying that.'
'Sure,' said Harry waving his wand a little making one appear out of nowhere and passing it over to her.
'Thanks,' she said as she took a sip. No one said a word. Cecilia looked up as if bothered by their silence. 'Am I interrupting something?' she asked, looking so sad that all three boys denied it immediately.
'No, don't worry, we were just hanging out,' said Draco reassuringly.
'Yeah, nothing new,' said Harry, rapidly.
'You're not interrupting anything, don't worry,' said Ron, smiling hesitantly. She looked sadly at the ground.
'So, they've already told you?' she said, though it was more of a statement than a question. Harry and Ron nodded. 'Well,' she started but paused. 'I'm going to see Dumbledore,' she said resignedly, putting her mug on the floor, standing up and storming out of the Common Room bumping into Hermsy on her way out.
'Ow! What's wrong with her?' she asked the three stunned boys, just as the Dean and Seamus came up behind her.
'She's got PMS,' said Seamus seriously. Everybody, even Dean, looked at him.
'What?' Draco, Ron and Harry asked, dumbstruck. Hermsy rolled her eyes.
'Premenstrual Syndrome,' she tried to explain. Noticing they still didn't understand, she sighed. 'Her period,' she said trying to make it simple. At this, all the boys nodded as if understanding.
'You know what I've heard about that?' said Draco. All eyes were on him.
'That when girls get their period they get all depressed and hysterical.' Hermsy looked at him angrily. 'But they do!' he said defensively. All the others roared with laughter.
'You've gotta admit though, Hermione,' said Dean. 'He's got a point there. I mean, you know,' he said as she turned her fierce glare towards him. 'You never see a guy all depressed and hysterical all at once, but in women it's quite often.' she sent him a withering look.
'Are you sure Hermsy isn't having her period now, cause by the looks of it she's about to have a hysterical attack,' said Ron laughing. The others joined in sending an angry Hermsy almost flying out of the room.
'See, now she's gone to get depressed,' said Draco, and they all shook with
laughter.
'I see your problem,' Dumbledore said. 'But you'll have to live with it until you fuse together..'
'What? I'm going to have to fuse with this-this-this sex-monster?!' she asked shocked. She covered her mouth quite suddenly noticing what she had just said and to whom. 'Sorry,' she mumbled. Dumbledore's face expressed surprise.
'Well, you'll just have to try to undo that part of her personality and exchange it for your own conservative one,' he said simply. 'Besides, from what you told me there was no sex included or suggested in her acts.'
'Well,' Cecilia said, starting to feel exasperated. 'Who can read her thoughts? You or me?' she asked.
'Well, I shall not argue with you on that one,' he said.
'Thanks anyway,' she said, as she left his office. She ran all the way to
her Common Room, in her own little world, without really noticing anything
around her. If she had, she would have realized, far before the silver hand
was covering her mouth to stop her from screaming that she was being
followed.
'Has anyone seen my sister?' Laura went to the side of the table where all the Gryffindors usually sat for dinner. She hadn't seen her all day, which was understandable, but for her not to be at meals? That was impossible. Where could she be? All looked at her with round eyes. Only Chimi's friend, what's-her-name? Oh, Hermsy seemed quite unperturbed by her presence.
'No, we haven't seen her since ... before lunch. She was kinda in a mood so no one went after her,' she said, a worried look on her face. 'I thought maybe she was with you.' Laura shook her head. Ron, oblivious to the conversation made some rude remarks involving girls and PMS that he wouldn't dare say in front of his mother. The girls shot him a couple of Looks till he shut up.
'Oh, what can we do?' Laura asked, partially to herself and partially to Hermsy.
'We should go to Dumbledore,' said the pale boy from Slytherin, having suddenly materialized next to her. 'She said something of going to talk to him, and with what she's going through I'm not surprised.' Laura's eyes opened in fear and worry.
'What happened?' she asked, her voice trembling slightly as she passed her hand incessantly through her hair.
'Well, she's the reincarnation of a woman called Ingenuita that, from time to time, takes charge in your sister's body and does whatever she wants. Then she faints, and when she recovers she can't remember anything of what happened,' said Hermsy, sounding more worried with every passing minute.
Laura swallowed, not without some difficulty. She felt she had a giant knot in her throat that prevented her from using it properly. She took a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down.
OK now. You go talk to Dumbledore, and you help me look for her in every single nook in this castle, you too. ' And with that Hermsy ran to Dumbledore and explained the situation rapidly but carefully as Laura took Draco, Harry and several Gryffindors, who had overheard the conversation, to go look for Chimi.
'Come on, Chimi,' she urged her sister softly, willing her to appear. The boy
next to her, Ron, looked at her curiously. 'That's how we used to call her at
home,' she explained. Ron raised and eyebrow but nodded and didn't make any
other comment. They searched until they came to the conclusion she wasn't on
any of the school grounds, which was well past midnight, and everybody had their
wands lit up trying to see past their noses.
Cecilia, in the meantime was groggily waking up from the artificial sleep that Petey, as she choose to call him to annoy, had induced her.
'Peter Peter Bo-beder banana-fana fo-feter let's all go kill old Peter and not beat her!' she sang softly, smiling at her rhyming abilities, or lack of therefore. (A/N: OK, I hope most people remember this childhood song which was used to morph names and be a pin in the arse, since I'm gonna use it during this changing several thing, of course.)
'Quite an imagination,' came a cold voice that pierced right through her bones to her very heart, while clapping with hands that had long spidery-pale fingers. As soon as he was completely in the light, she could see his face was as pale as if he were dead, and his slit red eyes and lipless mouth made her shiver involuntarily.
'Who the hell are you?' she snarled, looking as dignified as one could having just woken up from being drugged, chained to a wall, and forced to sleep practically standing for God knew how long.
'Me?' he said, mocking her. 'I'm the one who should be asking the questions here, not you. So shut up you Mudblood,' he said, spitting the word as if it had bad taste. She did a half-snarl half-smile.
'Sorry to disappoint you, Voldidy, as surely your looks fall as down as that,' she said despicably, waking up with amazing suddenness. 'But I'm a simple Muggle. Apparently you got the wrong person,' she said, looking at him half-calmly. The man did a double take, examining her closely.
'Tried to fool me, didn't you? I, the Great Lord of Darkness, Lord Voldemort, can always remember a face. Even if I'm disguised as another person,' he said, sounding mysterious and dangerous. But this didn't work on the girl. She listened only halfheartedly, thinking mostly of how much she hated the guys for making fun of her; how she hated the Headmaster for not helping her; and how much she hated herself for not being more alert, to care much of what this man told her. If she was going to die, she'd rather have it done quickly and wished Laura a good life. She'd be reunited with her parents somewhere beyond this life ... if an after life really existed. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts.
'Look, oldy Voldy, you don't scare me, ok? And it was fairly obvious that you used Polyjuice Potion to look like Snape the other day. And, given the fact that a small boy a year old defeated you when you were as powerful as you would ever get, you can't be very great. Besides, you can't even kill him, every other time you tried to obtain power, he was there and defeated you ... him being an underage wizard, and you being fully trained with long years of experience on these matters is quite an embarrassing situation, don't you think?' she said looking at him menacingly. He gaped at her for about two seconds. Then he lifted his wand and, pointing at her yelled:
'Crucio! 'And as she screamed in pain, while he enjoyed every second of it. She, an insignificant Mudblood, had touched almost every nerve he had left. They weren't hard to find, but no one dared to mention them, for fear of death or torture. But this girl, this stupid wretch of a girl had done what a thousand wizards hadn't been able to do. Touch his weak spot. He lowered his wand.
'How dare you speak that way?' he snarled menacingly at her. The few Death Eaters that were in the room with them cowered or at least flinched, moving away from their master. Cecilia got up, dabbing at the blood coming out from her nose.
'Well, it's completely true,' she said as she touched her head where she had hit it when she fell down by the intensity of the curse. 'By the way, where did "freedom of speech" go? I've got rights, you know, it's in the Constitution,' she said. All Death Eaters looked at her surprised. In that very same room, in front of that same monster of a man, most of the bravest witches and wizards had turned to jelly and pleaded for mercy after about two seconds. This girl must have some secret Force from where she gets all the bravery and dares to insult and mock everybody, even the Dark Lord himself. It was quite unnerving. Just then another Death Eater entered.
'Master,' he said hesitantly. Voldemort turned towards the Death Eater.
'Yes, Macnair?' he asked. Macnair shuddered under Voldemort's gaze.
'I'm here to inform the arrival of another prisoner from Hogwarts,' he said. Voldemort nodded and with a hand gesture told him to bring the prisoner there.
'Another?' Cecilia asked with incredulity leaving all self-composing methods to start really being nervous. She started mumbling incoherently and biting her bottom lip. Voldemort let her, paying close attention to her gibbering to see what he could make of them; actually feeling pleased from finally making her nervous.
'Stupid people ... no brains ... PMS my foot ...PMS, yeah, real funny ...I'm gonna give 'em a good whack to get that outta their stupid tinny brains ... the nerve ... God bless organic glasses.' Voldemort looked at her horrified as she checked her glasses for scratches of any sort.
'What are you talking about?' The coldness in his voice making her flinch slightly.
'PMS,' she said before continuing murmuring. He couldn't believe it. He just couldn't. He shook his head. This had to be a nightmare. This can not be happening, the girl might die in the next second, and what's she doing?! Gibbering about her period! For God's sake, what has the world come to?! He wasn't sure if it was youth or just because she was a girl, that made all this happen ... "must be youth." He murmured to himself. "Cause Potter has a bit of it too. Oh, how I hate working with children!" he fumed. He lifted his head as the door opened and the Death Eater, Macnair, and others came in carrying an unconscious form, which Cecilia recognized almost instantly.
'Hey!' she said indignantly, as they put the still form of Neville Longbottom
on the ground and fastened the chains around his wrists and ankles. 'Do you
have something against Gryffindors or what? You know what, you're a racist!'
she said, her nose in the air. Voldemort was fed up with her gibberish, so he
once again rose his wand in her direction, and reapplied the Cruciatus curse
on her looking at her twist and scream with pain with an odd smile on his face.
'Great!' Ron said. 'Just what we needed, another person missing.' He kicked a stone nearby very hard sending it right into the near forest, having just found out of Neville's disappearance. Surprisingly enough, someone sent the stone right back. Ron looked at the stone as if hypnotized. Hermsy and Draco, who were sitting on the floor throwing pebbles in every direction, stopped to look at him.(A/N: Harry was sent into the castle so they wouldn't kidnap him too)
'It came back?' Hermsy asked amazed. Ron nodded, white as a sheet. 'We better go tell a professor,' she said urgently pulling both away from the site, looking back every two seconds. 'Er... is it just me or is someone behind us?' she said, her voice a mere whisper. Both Draco and Ron had a peek at their backs, barely being able to see four figures were standing in the white light their wands and reflector gave.
'Run!' was all that Ron was able to say before getting a firm grip on Hermsy and fleeing as fast as he possibly could towards the castle, Draco pushing Hermsy on the other side. Ron heard running footsteps behind them and a hand suddenly grab his shoulder. He automatically pushed Hermsy forward, out of harms way, as did Draco and turned around with their wands out.
Author notes: Ha! What is going to happen? ... yeah, I agree with you, I truly suck at cliffhangers, but please do keep on reading, it's not my fic's fault I can't write to save my life. OK, next fic: Cecilia goes crazy (just a bit) we find out more about Candor and Ingenuita, with some repeated information, we discover certain feelings between two people. Uh.. can't think of anything else. Thanks for reading and, for the millionth time: PLEASE REVIEW!
