When We've Grown Up

Chapter 2

Daymeon stood just behind his parents, dimly aware that Ella had fled and Siobhan had left to pursue her. There were people everywhere, paused in their actions; food halfway to mouths, glasses half raised. Daymeon desperately wanted someone to move or talk, but the silence continued and the music blared on. Fairy lights that had been strung up around the patio, flashed their many bright colours but had no affect on the stunned crowd. Then, out of the stillness, a red-haired man who didn't look older than Draco, threw his beer bottle hard to the ground, causing it to shatter into a million little pieces. The noise made many people jump, some women cried out loud. The man was glaring between Ginny and Draco, his blue eyes resembled slates of cold ice. Daymeon watched as he spat onto the shattered glass before walking across it with rich leather shoes; the pieces crackling under his feet. The man turned towards the back door, the shocked onlookers parted to let him through. He reached the door, yanked it open and slammed it shut. The 'Happy Birthday' banner, which had been Spellotaped above the door, fluttered down, draping itself over three people below.

Daymeon could still hear the man, stomping loudly through the house. The same female voice, which had agreed to bring out more glasses, filtered through the screen door.

"Ron? What happened? What's wrong?" her voice was anxious.

"SHE'S HERE HERMIONE! HE'S HERE!" he roared, "WITH A HORDE OF SNOBBY LOOKING BRATS!"

Draco, whose temper had been running high, now blew his stack. Never was he going to let Weasley insult his wife or children! Stalking forward into the crowd, past Potter and Zabini, he led a white faced and shaking Ginny through the back door and into the house; leaving Daymeon standing alone. Napaea jumped down from his arms with a shrill squeak and hurtled back around the side of the house and out of sight.

"Arthur, do something!" shrieked the old woman on the ground after a few minutes. At once, five or six males bolted through the door after Ginny and Draco. The silence outside intensified as everybody strained to here what was happening inside. As it happened, they needn't have bothered, because yelling soon started, allowing anybody in a five-mile radius a good listen in....

Siobhan saw her little sister scramble up into a fig tree near the front fence; her feet slipping on the wet wood of the branches. Running a hand through her blonde hair, Siobhan started to jog, rain soaking her white top, while mud splattered her new and expensive Nike's.

"Ella?" she called, standing at the foot of the tree and looking up at her sister through the rain. "Ella?"

"Sib, I don't want to go back," Ella said, her voice wavering with emotion. "Did you see their faces? We're not part of them, they don't want us here!" She had perched herself high up between two thick branches, the thick canopy of leaves saving her from becoming too wet.

"Ella they haven't seen mum for sixteen years and they've never laid eyes on us! They were just surprised, like you said they would be," Siobhan half yelled through the rain. Ella shook her head, her gray eyes pleading, begging Siobhan not to take her back to the house.

"Elle," Siobhan called exasperatedly, using her sister's nickname, "I'm just as scared as you are! Think of dad! Half mum's family hate him but he's not hiding up in a tree!" "Just come down, we'll go back together." She said patiently, "Come on, I'm freezing my ass off here! I'll end up with ammonia!"

"Where's Daymeon?" Ella asked, moving slowly back down through the wet branches.

"Back with mum and dad," Siobhan replied helping her sister down, "nobody's started talking yet." It seemed that Siobhan had spoken too soon, for a second later her father's voice echoed across the wet property...

"WEASLEY COME BACK HERE AND FACE ME! DON'T YOU DARE INSULT MY FAMILY AND WALK AWAY, YOU COWARDLY BARSTED!"

Ella jumped down from the tree, her eyes fixed apprehensively on the crooked house.

"He's talking to mum's brother isn't he?" She asked, "The one who hates her."

Siobhan nodded, "Probably." Together they started to run back through the rain to the back of the house, reaching Daymeon who was still standing on the side of the patio. Heads turned back to them, the Malfoy children. From the crowd of people, the black haired woman made her way towards them.

"My name's Blaise," she said in an oddly cold, placid voice; much different from the surprised scream they had heard earlier. "I went to school with your father. You must be Siobhan, Daymeon and Ella." The three teenagers nodded.

"How did you know?" Daymeon asked.

"Your father used to send me letters, but I haven't received one for a least two years now." Blaise replied, seemingly unaware of everyone watching her. She was very beautiful; with unblemished tanned skin, long slender legs and her dark hair that almost reached her bottom. Her eyes were startlingly blue and heavily lashed, while a thin fringe fell gently into them. She was obviously a very stylish women, Siobhan thought, taking in Blaise's low-cut black top, suede jacket and tight fitting white jeans.

"Come and I'll introduce you to the others," she said, waving them forward with a delicate hand, whose fingers were bejeweled with many expensive looking rings. "I think your parents will be a while in there..."

*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*

Inside, Draco and Ginny had appeared in the tiny kitchen, where Hermione was soothing an infuriated Ronald Weasely. Both had their backs towards Draco and Ginny and were yet to notice them.

"Ron, honey, just calm down!" Hermione was saying, "Don't get so worked up!"

"Nice to see you again Granger," Draco said in his cool drawling voice. "Or is it Weasley now?" He watched in evil amusement as Hermione whipped around and gasped and Ron plunged his had into his pocket; drawing out his wand and pointing it straight at Draco's face.

"Malfoy..." he spat, "No sorry... Malfoys," he mocked as his ice blue eyes traveled to Ginny.

"Ron, please just stop," Ginny cried, moving away from Draco and towards her brother and Hermione. "You're being unfair. Sixteen years we've been in hiding. Sixteen years!" she half yelled, now standing directly in front of Ron's raised wand. "And do you know why?" Ginny said in a deadly whisper, hot tears running down here face, "because You-know-who wanted to kill my child!" she slammed her fist down on the scrubbed wooden table.

"DON'T COME TO ME FOR SYMPATHY, WHEN YOU WERE THE ONE WHO DUG YOURSELF INTO THIS HOLE IN THE FIRST PLACE," Ron snarled. "IT'S NO SURPRISE VOLDEMORT WAS AFTER YOU, CONSIDERING WHAT YOU MARRIED."

Ginny looked like someone had slapped her, her brown eyes widened in shock as tears slid down her face silently. In the doorway, Draco stiffened, his mouth one thin, extremely angry line.

"And what exactly am I Weasley?" he sneered, walking up to stand besides his wife. This time it was Hermione who answered.

"You know exactly what you are Malfoy. Son of a Death Eater, a Death Eater that is, until you decided to flee." Her tone was icy as she looked at Draco with the deepest loathing and disgust. "And some marks never disappear."

"As far as know I Granger," Draco spat, "that's old news from over sixteen years ago. So unless you have more recent information, I don't see how you can accuse me of being a follower of the Dark Lord."

"DON'T SPEAK TO HER LIKE THAT!" Ron roared, but Draco continued on.

"What about Zabini? Has she still got her mark? Or hasn't she told you about her past?" he sneered, "MAYBE YOU SHOULD GO AND PROTECT YOUR PRECIOUS POTTER FROM HER, SEEING AS THOUGH THEY SLEEP IN THE SAME BED."

"Blaises' parents are dead, unlike yours Malfoy." Hermione replied coolly.

"Your point?" Ginny glared at her sister-in-law.

"Her point is Virginia," Ron said sardonically, "that Blaise doesn't have a mentally challenged father in St Mungo's, who now thinks he is Voldemort and has already tried to escape." He looked at Draco and sneered. "Didn't know that did we Malfoy?"

"Fuck you Weasley," Draco snarled, he whipped out his own wand.

"Stupefy!" The two men yelled, wands pointed at one another's face.

The red beams hit each other in mid flight, sending Ron's at Ginny and Draco's at Hermione. Both women were knocked to the ground, Ginny's head making a sickening crack as it hit the kitchen floor tiles. Neither Draco nor Ron had time to do anything else, for from the doorway of the kitchen the remaining Weasley males and Harry had sent stunning spells at both of them.....

*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*

Blaise had led the Malfoy children around the crowd of people, introducing them to people such as Fleur Delacour; a beautiful blonde who was part Veela and also Bill Weasley's wife. Angelina Weasley; a dark, athletic looking woman who asked them if they played Quidditch, ("Your Dad was a great player at school, always gave us a challenge he did!"). She was married to Fred.

They met Percy's female friend Penelope, who work at the Ministry of Magic in the International Magical Office of Law, Charlie's Muggle wife Clare, Neville Longbottom and his wife Eloise Midgeon, twin sisters Parvati (who had the tendency to laugh at anything you said) and Padma Patil. Padma was holding the hand of a two-year-old boy, whose father had taken off after he had found out about the pregnancy. There was also The Macmillans (Ernie and Hannah), Justin Finch-Fletchley his wife Jasmine and their five-year-old daughter Emma and a rather handsome businessman called Dean Thomas.

"Right, come over here and I'll introduce you to the oldies," Blaise said.

"I heard that Zabini," said an older male, whose dark hair was flecked with gray. He was sitting at a table in front of them; next to him was a man with messy brown hair, which was a lot grayer.

"I'm sure you did Padfoot," Blaise said, turning to the children, "This is Sirius Black or, if you please, a great, black shaggy dog," Blaise smiled at them.

"You're an animagus?" Ella asked, curiosity and awe creeping into her voice. Sirius nodded. He had to be about sixty, yet he looked a lot younger. He had this 'rough and ready' feeling about him; his face was unshaven and his long hair fell into his eyes somewhat messily. Yet somehow, Sirius still looked trendy, maybe it was the clothes he was wearing or maybe it was his white smile that lit up his dark eyes. The man next to him cleared his throat and stood up.

"I'm Remus Lupin," he said, smiling pleasantly, "I can tell your Ginny and Draco's children." He indicated to Daymeon, who had been told by everyone so far that he was the spitting image of his father. Sirius leaned causally back in his chair, surveying Siobhan, Daymeon and Ella more carefully.

"You're right there Moony," he said "they're a bunch of lookers aren't they?" he grinned at the three teenagers. Blaise raised one dark eyebrow.

"Keep your eyes in your sockets Black," came a growling voice from behind them, followed by two clunks. Siobhan turned to see a man with grizzly gray-white hair. The hair hung over a badly scarred face, his nose had a piece missing from it; and his mouth was lopsided and looked liked it rarely broke into a smile. Siobhan just managed to stop the gasp that had been threatening to escape from her mouth. The man was holding a glass of water, in it there appeared to be a type of magical eyeball that he had popped out; he was wearing a patch, obviously to hide the empty eye socket. His other eye was normal, small and beady that was currently fixed on Sirius.

"I think you should take your own advice Mad-Eye," Sirius retorted, "And I mean on the literal level."

"This," Blaise spoke louder to drown out the bickering, "is Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody", she told them. "His imposter was famous for turning your father into a ferret." She looked at the man now drinking from a hip flask, a wooden leg just showing from under his cloak.

"Rotten scum too, he was," Mad Eye growled, wiping his mouth on his sleeve. "Not your father," he added hastily, seeing the shocked looks of the three teenagers, "the barsted who pretended to be me!"

"Mad-Eye," Remus said warningly.

"What?"

"We'll just move along now," Blaise said loudly although the three men didn't seem to hear her; Mad-Eye was now telling them he was entitled to say whatever he wanted and Sirius had just made a bad mistake by not agreeing with him.

"So who haven't you met yet," Blaise wondered out loud as the moved to the other side of the patio. "I daresay your mother will want to introduce you to your grandparents and all the Weasley's are inside."

She paused to look around through the crowd of people.

"There's only Harry's work colleagues...oh dammit...I haven't introduced you to all the kids have I?" Ella shook her head. "God, and here I am dragging you round to all the old asses!" she looked extremely angry with herself. "Where have they all got to, they were here minutes ago! There must be at least twenty of them running around..."

"Black, do you know where the kids went?" she called across the patio.

"I think they were all going down to the creek." Sirius called back. Blaise looked put out,

"They're down at the creek in this weather?" she turned back to Siobhan, Daymeon and Ella. "You kids just stay here, I don't want you getting wet. I'm going to apparate down there and tell them to come back up."

"You don't have to do that," Siobhan said quickly, we'll meet when they come back."

Blaise looked at her, "Sweetie if I don't make them come back they'll be down there for most of the night. Anyway most of them are your cousins and all of them are around the same age as yourselves." Siobhan nodded.

"Ok I'll be back in a minute." Blaise added, and with a small pop she vanished. Siobhan sank down into a chair at an empty table, Daymeon and Ella followed suit.

"Well, " she said, "that was interesting." Daymeon looked cautiously around, even though they had met most of the people there, some were still giving them furtive glances.

"I wonder how mum and dad are going?" he said quietly.

"I'm sure they're taking care of it all," Siobhan said, not knowing that at that moment both her parents were lying unconscious on the floor. They sat in silence for several minutes, each deep in their own thoughts. There was another pop and Blaise was back standing next to them, her hair now sitting in long wet strands.

"Their coming up now, I've got to go inside...um.... Molly said they need a little er...help...." She trailed off.

"Mum and Dad are ok aren't they?" Ella asked, suspiciously eyeing Blaise.

"Sure honey your parents are fine...we just need to...discuss some things." Blaise smiled. "I'll see you kids later," she turned and walked through the back door. Siobhan placed her arms on the table and rested her head on them, blocking most of the light out of her eyes. Daymeon and Ella started to talk about the man called 'Mad-Eye.' It was weird being surrounded by all these witches and wizards, Siobhan thought. Most of them had known her parents back in their Hogwarts days but hadn't seen them since. They all seemed to be celebrating. Not just a birthday but the end of and era where Lord Voldemort had ruled.

Siobhan was once again immersed in her own thoughts and it was only when a young male voice interrupted them did she snap back to reality.

"So you're the Malfoy's?"

Siobhan's head shot up off her arms as Daymeon and Ella stopped talking, apparently they hadn't noticed the huge group of kids drawing nearer. Behind them was the speaker. A boy in his middle teens, tall and lean with messy black hair, astonishingly blue eyes, straight white teeth and a somewhat goofy, yet cute smile plastered on his face. Siobhan found herself taking a sharp breath, for the boy was very good looking and with those eyes he was definitely Blaises' son.

"We're the Malfoy's," Daymeon said defensively, "Who are you?"

"Gye Potter," the boy said, "My mum told me to bring the others up." He gestured behind him where a crowd of teenagers was gathering. Gye swiveled his gaze to Siobhan.

"What're your names?" he asked drawing out a chair next to her with his foot, and sitting down on it backwards.

"Siobhan, that's Daymeon and Ella," she replied, not looking directly in his eyes, he was making her uneasy somehow.

"Is your dad Harry Potter?" Ella asked.

"How else would I get the last name Potter as well as screwy black hair?" Gye replied sarcastically.

"How are we to know," Siobhan said coldly, "We've never seen your father." Gye raised an eyebrow but was saved from answering when more kids arrived at the table.

"Gye what you doing mate? Aren't you going to introduce us?" an older boy said. He was followed by at least 10 others. Siobhan stood up to face her many cousins, all of whom were unknown to her.

"Ok," Gye said, "Charlie and James come here. I'll introduce us all by family coz there's way too many...damn the Weasley's."

A girl with brilliant green eyes and long black hair stepped forward, she blushed when Gye introduced her.

"This is my sister Charlotte or Charlie."

"I'm in the fifth year," she said quietly, pushing silver rectangular glasses back up her nose.

"Yer and she's a Gryff." Gye said. "This is James," he continued, turning to a small, skinny boy with dark brown hair and the same green eyes. "He's the youngest of the Potters."

"Gye stop being the announcer and tell us their names," James interrupted, rolling his eyes.

"What? Oh everyone this is Ella, Daymeon and... what was it?" he asked Siobhan.

"Siobhan," she said, her tone icy enough to freeze over the Sahara desert, Gye shot her a smirk. Basted knew my name, she thought angrily.

"How old are you?" Ella shot at James, her freckled nose wrinkled.

"Thirteen."

"Right Ron and Mione's group up here." Gye called, "This is Ben, 16 and still no muscle," he said sarcastically, for the tall red head had quite a few; he grinned good-naturedly at the Malfoy's. "And the twins, Kieran and Megen both fifteen." The two had brown chestnut hair, brown eyes and freckles dotting their faces.

"Gye do you think we could introduce ourselves," Megen asked, "This is getting like a game show."

Gye shrugged. "Suit yourselves," he got up a walked away to join Sirius Black and Remus Lupin. Siobhan, Daymeon and Ella found themselves surrounded by their cousins.

It seemed that the eldest were Meleri and Stephanie both whom were nineteen. Meleri was Bill and Fleur's daughter; she had flowing blonde hair like her mother. Stephanie was the eldest of Fred and Angelina's three children; she looked at lot like her mother and had a great sense of humor, pointing out that she was conceived before her parents were married. Connie was her younger sister; she was a Gyffindor in her last year at Hogwarts. Her skin was milky white with some freckles, her hair was dark and smooth and her eyes were brown, her sixteen-year-old brother Dylon resembled her. Charlie's two sons, Jason and Matthew both had inherited the flaming Weasley hair and freckles, but Jason who was seventeen had deep blue eyes and was definitely more charming. Matthew was two years younger then his brother and had a rather solid build and deep chocolate colored eyes. He had a faded scar across his left cheek, which he said was from Megen's cat Hooper. However despite the physical and personality differences in her cousins, Siobhan noticed that one was unusually quite. Gwen, George's only daughter had kept her mouth shut through all the commotion and introductions. She was a pretty little thing of nine years. Her strawberry blonde hair was put into two French braids at the side of her head, while a wispy fringe fell into her wide blue eyes. She also had freckles sprinkled on beautiful porcelain colored skin. Ben noticed Siobhan studying her.

"She's very quite," he said in an undertone as Siobhan jumped.

"Yeh, she doesn't talk much does she?" She replied. Ben shook his head.

"Only talks to five people." Siobhan's eyebrows shot up.

"Five? Why?" she asked.

"Dunno, something to do with her mother's death, and don't ask me how she died, only Uncle George and Gwen know. We didn't even meet her, I don't even know what her name was."

"So who does she talk to?" Siobhan asked.

"Her dad obviously, Nanna and Pop, Gye and Penny Longbottom she's the one sitting next to Gwen, she's ten."

"Why Gye? He's loud and obnoxious." Siobhan asked, surprised.

"Yer well most girls do think I'm loud but obnoxious?" Gye said from behind them wearing a smirk. Siobhan felt a hot blush creep its way into her face as Ben laughed.

"Soooo Siobhan, you starting at Hogwarts?" Gye asked seating himself on the other side of her, his legs wide apart.

"Yes, sixth year."

"Ha, you'll be in our year, how exciting." Gye said

"Any idea what house you might be in," Ben asked as Gye snorted.

"Well her father was a Slytherin and her mum was a Gryff, so I'll say you'll be in with the other Weasley's in the lion's den." Gye said leaning back in his chair, "I'm in Slytherin coz I have the qualities. You don't have any Slytherin qualities."

"Which are what? Conceited, presumptuous, and irritating?" Siobhan retorted. Gye straightened up in his chair, a cheeky smile plastered on his smug face.

"You forgot enticing," he said ruffling his already messy black hair. Siobhan screwed her face up into a look of disgust.

Ben was looking between the two with an amused expression on his freckled face. This year is going to be interesting, he thought looking around and seeing the fuss his new cousins were causing. Ella, the petite red head was talking to Alice Longbottom, another thirteen-year old as well as James Potter who was shoving corn chips into his mouth. Daymeon however was getting the most attention. The twins (Kieran and Megen), Matt, Connie and Dylon surrounded him while Charlotte lingered at the back. Dylon was in the midst of telling the group a very funny (and probably very dirty) story. Meleri and Steph had gone back over to talk to the adults and Jason was playing with five-year-old Emma Finch-Fletchley. Gwen and Penny were sitting in a corner, playing a game of exploding snap.

"Well," Ben said, standing up and stretching, "Welcome to the family." From the back door, Blaise had reappeared.

"Kids can you come inside please?" she called.

"Alice and Penny over here." Neville said loudly, obviously realizing the invitation was for family. They all troop in, down a narrow hall and into a small kitchen.

"Mum?" Ella said. Ginny had been woken and was sitting up in a kitchen chair, an icepack was being held to the back of her head by Molly Weasley.

"Hey you three," she smiled wanly, as they moved forward to sit near her.

"Mum," Ginny said, "these are my children. Siobhan, Daymeon and Ella. Kids this is my mother and your Grandmother, Molly. The three stared at the aging woman. Her dull red hair was streaked with gray. She had a very kind face and seemed a very motherly figure. She paused for a moment and looked at them, her face holding back a lot of emotion. Then quite suddenly she broke down.

"Oh come here, all of you," she cried dropping the icepack and moving round to the kids. There was tears running down her face as she pulled them all into a tight hug. Daymeon was taken by surprise as she hugged him. She smelt just like a grandma though - if there was such a thing, he thought. Molly let them go, wiping her eyes with a crumpled tissue.

"Look at you," she said with a watery smile, "All so beautiful. Are you cold? Your clothes look at bit damp...don't want you coming down with the flu...Are you hungry? I can cook you up somethin..."

"Mum the kids are fine," Ginny said firmly, although she was smiling.

"Of course they are, yes sorry...Are you kids sure you don't want something to ea...."

"Mum!"

"Sorry. Ginny keep that icepack on your head, I'm going to see how the others are getting on." She bustled out of the room, still blowing her nose.

"Mum what happened, where's dad?" Daymeon demanded.

"What did you do to your head?" Siobhan looked towards the doorway, Blaise and the other kids had gone somewhere else in the house. Ginny sighed.

"We got into a bit of an argument," she said, sounding resentful, "with my brother Ron and his wife, Hermione. It...er.. got a bit out of hand. Ron and your father pulled out their wands to try and stun each other, but they hit and rebounded onto Hermione and me."

Ella gasped, "Dad dueled?"

Ginny bit her lip, "Well I don't blame him really, Ron said some pretty nasty things."

"So where's dad now?" Siobhan asked.

"Well from what mum told me, my other brothers stunned him, as well as Ron. I think they're sorting it out upstairs now.."

"Can we go up?" Daymeon asked.

Ginny wrinkled her nose, "Alright, help me up though."

The three helped their mother up the stairs to the third floor landing, where Jason was making his way downstairs.

"There in Pop's old study," he said, grinning, "Oh and your house elf is down in the cellar, Dylon saw her."

"That's got to be Charlie's son," Ginny said under her breath as Jason continued down the stairs. Outside the study were the rest of the kids as well as all the Weasley brothers except for Ron.

"What's happened?" Siobhan asked Ben as her mother went to hug and talk to all her brothers.

"Dad and your dad are in there with Nan and Pop." He said, "They're trying to get a bit of peace between them." Siobhan snorted.

"Like that's ever going to happen," she said, "Dad hates Ron."

"Feeling is mutual with dad too." Ben said, "They were enemies at school apparently."

"Sib, Daymeon and Ella, come over here." Ginny called.

"I want you to meet my brothers, your uncles." She said to them

There were more introductions; Fred, George, Percy, Charlie and Bill. All with red hair and all smiling good-naturedly at them.

"Ginny!" came a male voice from behind them.

"Harry," Ginny smiled as a man with untidy black hair and brilliant green eyes came forward and hugged her. So this was Harry Potter? Siobhan thought. The famous Auror and 'Boy-Who-Lived'. He was very handsome, like his arrogant son, but had the personality of his other two children. He seemed genuinely happy to see them all, and Siobhan found herself taking an instant liking to him. He shook their hands as Ginny introduced them.

"Bleeding Merlin," he said as he shook Daymeon's hand, "It's Draco Malfoy all over again. Daymeon smirked. "God I haven't seen that in over sixteen years," Harry exclaimed.

"We have a lot of catching up to do," Ginny said wearily just as the door to the study opened and Molly, Arthur, Draco and Ron emerged, none looking all too impressed.

"We want all of you," Arthur said indicating to the group of Weasleys, Potters and Malfoys, "to stay at the Burrow tonight. It will obviously be a bit cramped but Molly and myself think we need to sort a few things out as a family."

"What about Harry's party?" Fred asked, "We can't just tell the guests to bugger off can we?"

"The invitation said from 1:00 - 5:00 so they'll be gone in a few hours," Harry replied.

"That's if some of them haven't already left," Blaise added.

"Well I would like some help from the kids with setting up beds," Molly said, "I think the rest of you should go back downstairs, we don't want to seem rude."

*~~*~~*~~*~~*~~*

That night, after all the party guests had left, Molly and ten other helpers had set up a small buffet table so the thirty family members and the Potters could eat. They ate off paper plates and sat in small groups around the tables used for the party. Ginny and Draco sat with Harry and Blaise while Siobhan shared at table with Ben, Connie, Dylon, Jason and to her annoyance, Gye. She soon discovered that all her cousins were or had been in Gyffindor and that she had an unsaid 'duty' to also be sorted into that house, despite what her father might have been in. Conversation turned to Hogwarts and Siobhan found it all rather boring, as she couldn't contribute too much. After cleaning up all the adults shooed the kids upstairs into the room they had expanded to accommodate them all. Linox, Petrol and Hora had been brought up by Napaea and were now snoozing in their cages.

"Don't want us eavesdropping," Dylon said, looking rather disappointed.

"We need something to do," Matt piped up.

"Why don't you read a book Matt?" Charlotte suggested, who was doing just that on one of the set out mattresses. There were sixteen people in the room, from nineteen-year-old Meleri to nine-year-old Gwen, but there was only fourteen single mattresses...and one double one. Siobhan, who had left the room to use the loo, came back to find everyone had claimed a mattress.

Bloody hell! She internally screamed. She would have to share the double mattress. Looking around, she saw that one tall black-haired boy was already sprawled out on it. Gye fucking Potter. He saw her and rolled his eyes.

"Not you, bleeding Merlin not you," he said exasperatedly, slamming his fist on his forehead.

"Like I had a choice," she snapped coldly.

"Anyone want to change?" he called, but people were deliberately not listening; they all wanted a bed to themselves.

"Fine," he said crossly.

"Put your head at one end and I'll put mine at the other." Siobhan said shortly, now fully brassed off. She thought Ella might have swapped, but no, the red haired was in full conversation with Megen. Siobhan settled herself down, aware that she seemed to be the only one going to sleep, Gye had huffed off and was, as usual the center of attention.

"Think of it this was," Kieran said quietly, seeing the disgusted look on Siobhan's face. "At least your not sharing with another cousin," he shivered in revulsion, "that would almost be incest!" He hurried off to join in with the others. Incest or not, Siobhan would've given anything to have shared the bed with anyone in the room besides Gye.
